**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

Uptime Labs offers a sophisticated, evolving approach to incident management training that goes far beyond simple technical drills. I’m particularly impressed by the leadership’s passion and the platform's ability to simulate high-pressure environments—complete with realistic logs and demanding stakeholders. This immersive 'real-time' format has directly improved our team's ability to manage communication cadences and prioritize effectively under pressure. Seeing our incident managers master time-boxing and stakeholder expectations in such a realistic setting has been invaluable.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

While some scenarios occasionally feel a bit condensed, I recognize that this is a necessary trade-off to ensure the drills fit within a shorter, actionable timeframe.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

Uptime Labs is an essential resource for both mastering and maintaining the Incident Response toolkit. Regardless of an organization's incident frequency, I consider this platform a foundational requirement for anyone in an Incident Command role to ensure their skills remain sharp and ready.

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

- Building muscle memory by solving incidents hands on
- Weekly cadance at start, biweekly or monthly later
- Long term investment due to which you actually train that muscle memory
- Visible innovation by uptime labs on the training format and setup over time
- Great reading resources for those that want to dig deeper

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

None really - happy with the training provided

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

I'm going through this training as a product manager - while usually the IT team members do so. It's great to see that as a PM - you can leverage your stakeholder management skills really well. I encourage people outside of tech to also seriously consider this training.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The key thing I appreciate about uptime lab's approach to incident management training is the hands on approach. Without massive time investment on the side of the employee receiving the training you are able to build a muscle memory on how to act in case of an incident. Solving a challenging drill each training is so much more effective than any theoretic sources would be able to provide.

  ### 3. Mastering Crisis Management with Uptime Labs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** martijn m.

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

I really like how Uptime Labs offers a unique experience with a large set of drills in a staged environment. It's amazing to be tested under conditions where systems are failing for a hypothetical company, and my team and I have to resolve the incident while keeping management satisfied. The challenges where all customers compete in the same drill truly simulate a stressful, real incident. The drills gradually increase in difficulty, letting me master the basics before tackling more challenging scenarios. After every drill, there's a coaching moment to help improve skills further. I appreciate how the facilitator takes time to ask thought-provoking questions and provides valuable tips, tricks, and honest feedback. It's great that Uptime Labs is continuously developing new drills with varied scenarios, adding fresh ones every few weeks with new interaction possibilities or actors.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

Not really dislike, by without the continuous development and improvement of the drills, the drills risk the chance of becoming monotonous.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime Labs helps me act as a good incident manager during crises, improving stakeholder satisfaction and communication. It reduces mean time to recover and provides clarity during incidents, with drills that enhance my skills through coaching and feedback.

  ### 4. Immersive Training with Real-World Scenarios

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter G. | VP - Head of Customer Operations

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

I really like how Uptime Labs helps train high-grade incident managers by equipping them with all the necessary skills like communication, incident mechanics, prioritization, pattern recognition, and management of internal and external stakeholders. It’s also great that incidents unfold in real time with real logs, creating a realistic and immersive environment that maps to real life. The interactions during each drill realistically mirror real-life scenarios such as dealing with upset business users who demand regular updates and engineers who push back on findings. This true-to-life feature is something I find particularly valuable. Our incident managers have improved in time-boxing during incidents and providing updates at regular intervals, allowing them to manage incidents effectively without being interrupted by constant queries from stakeholders because a cadence and expectation for updates have been established.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

I would love more visibility into the progress of our cohort, like on-demand access via a dashboard.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime Labs helps us train high-grade incident managers with skills in communication, prioritization, and management. Our incident managers effectively provide updates and manage incidents with less stakeholder disruption.

  ### 5. Empowers Incident Management with Engaging Training

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

I love the interactive and evolving nature of the scenarios provided by Uptime Labs, which really enhances the learning experience. The level of engagement from both the Uptime team and leadership, who are clearly passionate about incident management, stands out to me. The training drills are fantastic, and the roadmap for the product is encouraging. I also appreciate the wider community engagement and the competition-style format of larger drills, which help me understand our capability during critical scenarios.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

I think the greatest area for improvements would be around creating a unique engineer baseline to measure development as well as self service reporting and analytics.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Uptime Labs to standardize our approach to major incidents, reduce single points of failure, and improve incident response knowledge, especially out of hours. The drills boost engineer confidence in handling incidents and help identify potential escalations.

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

Uptime Labs really shines when it comes to their incident simulations. They do a great job of making the scenarios feel authentic, immersive, and genuinely high-pressure."

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

"My only real complaint is having to do all the major incident troubleshooting through chat

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

I'd love to see them introduce an AI voice option eventually so we don't have to use text chat.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the real world, most major incident troubleshooting happens on a bridge call, so doing it all via chat in Uptime Labs takes a little getting used to. Honestly, though, it's a great approach—it really forces you to build muscle memory for navigating the flow of an incident."

  ### 7. Practical, Engaging Incident Management Training That Feels Real

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sudarshan R. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

It makes incident management training practical, engaging, and directly applicable to real‑world incidents.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

The only downside is that the simulations can feel intense at first, especially if you’re someone new to major incident management.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

I’d recommend Uptime Labs to any team serious about faster, more confident incident response through realistic practice.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime Labs helps teams practice real incident response before outages happen, so I can lead incidents with confidence and respond faster. Using Uptime Labs helps me build real “muscle memory” for incident response.

  ### 8. Engaged, Helpful Staff Who Truly Welcome Feedback

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

Staff are very engaged and helpful and they genuinely welcome feedback.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

Some of the scenarios do not seem completely realistic, although an element of this is due to making it fit a much shorter time frame.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

Like a lot of things the more you engage the more useful it will be.
The Junior member of the team who is new to incident management found it particularly useful and really enjoyed learning.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime Labs offers a convenient, safe way to experience the pressure of a major incident without the possibility of any real world impact.

  ### 9. Real-World Mock Drills That Build Strong Muscle Memory

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

Mock drills that simulate real world scenarios

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

It's not a dislike - but after a while the drills will become mundane. It's important to maintain the muscle memory, but the amount of continuous training needed will depend on the person. Factors like how often, how much, and what kind of drills will likely need to be custom-tailored? Just a guess.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

It's great for learning the tools of Incident Response, as well as keeping those tools sharp. I see it as a key need for anyone doing Incident Command - regardless of how often Incidents happen in their org.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident Response is something not yet completely formalized in our team, and Uptime Labs is giving us the ability to understand how it would work and it's key benefits.

  ### 10. Transforming Incident Response Training

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Qasim A. | Senior Managed Services Engineer (Team Lead), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

Honestly, there isn’t much to fault. One thing I appreciate is how committed the team behind Uptime Labs is to evolving the product — they’re receptive to feedback and regularly roll out new scenarios that keep the training engaging and up to date. Instead of the platform feeling static, it continues to grow alongside the challenges that organizations like ours face, which keeps it highly relevant and effective.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

No real downsides — the platform keeps improving and adding fresh scenarios.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime Labs takes training far beyond the traditional classroom approach. The platform throws you into lifelike, high-pressure situations that truly test your decision-making under stress. This hands-on style has helped our team develop stronger instincts, react faster, and refine our processes in ways theory alone could never achieve. It feels like a safe environment to make mistakes, learn, and then apply those lessons back in the real world. The result has been a noticeable boost in confidence and alignment across our incident management function.

  ### 11. Hands-On Learning That Builds Confidence Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

Doing hands on activities really helped learning. The scenarios moving from easy to hard really helped building my confidence.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

I would have preferred feedback after each session via email.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

I would recommend the training to others. I already sent 2 more members from the team for this training

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me learning how to do Incident Management. I had no experience of doing this before

  ### 12. Real-Time Resolution Engine for Incident Response & Restoration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** shruthi h. | Cloud MFT Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

The Ease of understanding what to do next using the structure framework defined by Uptime labs.
dedicated well knowledge team who is always there to help out and bring what best works for our organization .

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

While Uptime Labs is a powerful platform for incident resolution, I feel it could benefit from more human-centric use cases. In my experience, not all incidents can be solved purely through tools and automation. During high-pressure situations, human emotions, stress levels, and communication dynamics play a major role in how effectively a team responds.

It would be valuable if Uptime Labs could better account for these human factors—perhaps by integrating features that support emotional awareness, team morale, or stress-level indicators during incidents. A more empathetic approach could make the platform not just efficient, but truly supportive for the people behind the screens.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

Many organizations struggle with incident response. They either don’t have a dedicated team or rely on scattered tools that slow everything down. When something breaks—whether it’s a system outage or a security breach—teams often scramble without a clear plan. This leads to delays, confusion, and costly downtime.

Uptime Labs solves this by offering a smart, all-in-one platform for incident resolution and restoration. It brings everything together—alerts, communication, workflows—so teams can respond quickly and confidently. No more jumping between tools or guessing what to do next.

The result? Faster recovery, fewer breaches, and stronger trust from customers. Uptime Labs helps teams stay calm under pressure, fix problems faster, and learn from every incident so it doesn’t happen again.

In short, it’s the incident response system you wish you had—now you do.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime Labs helps our organization solve a major challenge in incident management—lack of contextual awareness. Often, incident teams struggle to identify which application or team an issue belongs to, leading to delays and misrouting. Uptime Labs provides a structured approach that encourages teams to ask the right questions upfront: What happened? When did it happen? Which system is impacted? This clarity helps ensure incidents are assigned correctly and resolved faster. By improving visibility and accountability, Uptime Labs reduces confusion, speeds up recovery, and strengthens overall operational efficiency.

  ### 13. Realistic practice environment for incident responders to build confidence & skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beth L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

The ability to practice the full range of incident response activities, from assessing impact to troubleshooting to managing customer communication, is invaluable. I LOVE the emphasis on interpersonal coordination, which is key but too often gets ignored. I also love how they capture the weird difficulties of incidents: red herrings, intrusive CXOs, vendor communication, etc.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

Scheduling drills is pretty easy but I'd love for drills to be completely on-demand so practitioners can sneak practice into gaps in their days. I'd also like to see drills for entire teams (right now they're configured for 1 or 2 people, with the rest of the responders being AI-backed bots that act like NPCs).

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

Start with a trial and get a range of people trying drills to get a sense for how the actual responders feel about the platform. I've seen some really productive conversations come out of having a leader who's not usually "on the ground" in an incident participate in a drill so they appreciate what incident managers are dealing with. Right now Uptime is ideal for companies who are focused on improving incident comms (both internally and to customers), helping responders focus on resolving in a way that matches business priorities, and improving coordination patterns when the org is experiencing an upsurge in the complexity of incidents (from factors like growth, acquisitions, cloud migrations, increased AI adoption, etc.).

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Usually incident responders have no way to get "good" at incident response except for responding to real incidents, where the stakes are often high. It's not an ideal setting for learning and practice. I've been impressed with the realism of drills on the Uptime Labs platform, especially the psychological stress and interpersonal demands, which are challenging in themselves and are crucial to technical problem-solving. Now our clients have a way for on-call engineers to practice when they have time and energy to analyze their performance, and leaders feel more confidence that responders are equipped to communicate and prioritize in line with business needs.

  ### 14. Game changing enabler for incident-centric cultural change

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

Creates a safe, sandbox environment that mirrors real life closely enough for participants to learn from without the pressure of real-world incidents and the challenges that come with learning on the job.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

Sometimes the drills themselves have such fidelity you can end up feeling the same stresses of a real incident; you need to make sure to take time and work through drills at a pace that allows you to relax and learn from your experience before diving into the next.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storio group (Photobox/Albelli) had a big cultural challenge around the way we reacted to incidents. Although engineering teams were always mindful to solve problems quickly when they occurred, they often did so in a behind the scenes way, with little focus on communication or learnings. This often lead to things breaking repeatedly, and those of us who lead the organisation remaining unaware aside from cross colleagues outside of the Engineering teams referencing downtime that had almost (although never intentionally) been swept under the rug.

Uptime Labs gave us a platform to drive a cultural change around that; by creating a sandbox where behaviours in incidents could be explored and coached, we started showing key people across the technical organisation what good incident response looked like end-to-end. This isn't something we could have recreated using tabletop excersises, nor built into process using playbooks - those we pushed through Uptime Labs didn't just start following a particular process, they truly understood what a good incident response looked like and started acting as good incident responders or incident managers in their own incidents - declaring incidents, then communicating through them and finally, performing meaningful retros that helped us start learning from our incidents. More than that, they started to tell their colleagues and became advocates for good incident culture, which in turn snowballed, with more people actively seeking out improving their incident management and response skills via Uptime Labs.

It's been a truly transformational experience that's reflected in our metrics - a huge decrease in MTTR and a dramatic increase in the number of incidents declared, and with that that we've learned and improved from.

  ### 15. A fun and very effective way to practice stressful incident management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eveline S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

The realistic incident scenario's, the different (but recognizable) personalities and seniority levels of the AI "team", the Post Incident Review exercises and the personal approach: each session is attended by a coach that gives helpful feedback and knowledgeable advice right after each exercise.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

I really don't dislike anything at this point, there are new and more complex scenario's released quite often and I am curious to see what other scenario's are coming up.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

Uptime labs is always looking for scenario's to set up, reach out if you have experienced an incident so to help others practice a similar scenario

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During a critical incident, stress levels can surge quickly, and while stakeholders and other engineers often have good intentions, their input can sometimes add to the pressure. For me, this often leads to an overstimulated feeling, making it tough to prioritize what needs to happen first.

Uptime Labs addresses this directly by allowing me to practice incident scenarios in a controlled environment. This helps build the 'muscle memory' for the key steps required for a fast mitigation. So, when a real incident occurs, I'm better equipped to remain focused and efficiently cut through the noise, leading to much quicker resolutions.

  ### 16. Fantastic use of AI to support human capabilities in a critical IT role

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

The usability is self-explanatory and quickly enables teams involved in real IT major incident response, to step into their roles within the platform and practice using their skills in a safe environment. Having the solution also means it doesn't cost downtime of a client's pre-prod and lower environments to simulate and practice major incident response - which would otherwise have a knock-on impact to development teams productivity.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

It's hard to come up with a dislike to be completely honest as the solution is revolutionary to Service Operations readiness to respond to major incidents, however I'd probably say at a push that the scenario in which the solution focuses its many major incident drills around is an online store, which would be great to adapt to other scenarios where my clients aren't in a retail environment. That being said, this scenario still utilises all the technology and stakeholders which almost all companies have regardless of their industry, so it's really not a big deal.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

I'd highly recommend giving a demo a try to really experience first-hand, the capabilities of the Uptime Labs solution. As I've said it's revolutionary in its nature, being an AI-driven solution which strengthens human capabilities that previously had to be measured intangibly and through additional more experienced resources. Progress used to be based on their perception, but Uptime Labs now gives data-driven insights in this space. The tool has the flexibility to integrate humans into the AI-driven scenario drills too, which in multi-supplier SIAM-based ecosystems really opens up how life-like the dills can be when compared to real life.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime Labs is a fantastic tool in helping measure, assure, and improve major incident response and management capabilities. As a service management consultant, I've utilised Uptime Labs with my clients in order to ensure their major incident response technical and service teams are 'match-fit' for responding to critical IT incidents, and hold the tested and ready capabilities that a human needs to perform well in the real scenario, by routinely completing drills in the AI-generated scenarios that the tools provides.

  ### 17. Excellent Resource for Strengthening Incident Response Skillsets

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan B. | Technical Incident Manger, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

What impresses me most about Uptime Labs is how genuinely lifelike its simulations feel and how quickly they translate into measurable growth. The moment a scenario launches, the Slack workspace comes alive with fast-moving alerts, impatient stakeholders, and the occasional curveball that mimics production chaos better than any tabletop exercise I have experienced. That authenticity matters: because the environment behaves as my real systems and colleagues would, I stay fully immersed and practice under conditions that mirror the pressure of an actual outage while knowing customers remain unaffected.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

Uptime Labs delivers impressive value, yet my initial impressions are the scenario library skews toward classic web application outages, so expanding into hardware failures, complex Kubernetes networking glitches, or multi-cloud identity misconfigurations would better reflect the breadth of issues we see in the industry.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

I'd suggest blocking a short debrief right after every drill, connect Uptime Labs’ reports to your incident backlog or observability dashboards, and track concrete improvements such as faster detection times and clearer stakeholder updates. Invite a senior incident commander to observe and coach for accelerated growth. Share any niche failure modes with the Uptime team early, review results, and refresh your scenario mix as systems evolve to embed a living, continuously improving training program within your reliability culture.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime Labs squarely targets many of the shortcomings I have seen in traditional incident-management training. Conventional programs rely on tabletop drills or, worse, let engineers learn only when a genuine outage is already harming customers. That approach creates an uneven skill set across on-call teams and leaves critical interpersonal abilities under-developed; technical responders often master the runbooks yet stumble when conversations turn tense or require calm de-escalation. By contrast, Uptime Labs delivers immersive Slack-based simulations that feel indistinguishable from production, complete with unpredictable, demanding personas. The result is consistent, realistic practice that removes the pressure of a live incident while preserving its urgency.

For me, the impact is immediate and tangible. I can refine my conversational style, test de-escalation techniques, and build confidence in a safe environment, all without risking customer trust or system stability. Those repetitions sharpen the exact competencies I need as an Incident Manager at Groq, so when a real page arrives I respond faster and communicate more effectively. The platform also gives my teammates a uniform onboarding path: new engineers graduate from the simulations already comfortable joining rotations, which raises the overall standard of our response. In short, Uptime Labs offers a level of robust, people-centered incident training I have not found elsewhere, and it fills a critical gap in both my professional development and our team’s readiness.

  ### 18. Excellent Simulation of Incidents

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anish S. | IT Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

I will put an anecdote for this, when we were going through these sessions, some of my colleagues thought it was real person behind Jeff when it was bot. That's how real the incident room is.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

Well actually not a lot. The only thing I wish for is to have their SRE kind of module integrated with incident management.

**Recommendations to others considering Uptime Labs:**

If you want your organisation to do better at Incidents, uptime labs is the best place to help you.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the business of Incidents, you are as good as your triage. Uptime Labs helps you and your team get better with triage by infusing real world Simulation of Incidents building muscle memory of how to work under pressure. Its excellent tool to have if you want your team to better their skills and reduce your downtime.

  ### 19. Raising the Bar for Major Incident Management

**What do you like best about Uptime Labs?**

What I like best about Uptime Labs is how practical and immersive the training experience is. It’s not just theory — the platform puts you in realistic, high-pressure scenarios that mirror the challenges Major Incident Managers face in real life. This helps our team improve response times, sharpen incident handling, and break away from bad habits and common pitfalls. The training builds confidence and consistency, making it an invaluable tool for strengthening our incident response capability.

**What do you dislike about Uptime Labs?**

There’s nothing I’d call a ‘dislike’ about Uptime Labs. What really stands out is how open they are to feedback — they actively listen to suggestions and are quick to make thoughtful improvements. The platform is constantly evolving, with new labs being added regularly to keep the training fresh and relevant. That steady expansion of content ensures our team always has access to realistic, up-to-date scenarios that challenge and develop our skills.

**What problems is Uptime Labs solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime Labs is solving some of the most persistent challenges in Major Incident Management by delivering hands-on, scenario-based training that sharpens decision-making under pressure. Their platform helps us improve response times, streamline incident handling, and reinforce best practices across the team. One of the biggest benefits is how effectively it trains out bad habits and steers us away from common gotchas that can derail incident resolution. The simulations are realistic and challenging, which means our team is better prepared for real-world incidents and more confident in their roles.

  ### 20. Uptime Labs is a win win for business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)
