"Structured Incident Triage and Engineering Workflow Automation"

4/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

The visual workflow structure makes complex incident logic much easier to follow. I particularly like how alert ingestion, field normalization, severity classification, rider-experience stage identification, engineering routing, and investigation tracking can be kept as separate steps while still forming one workflow. The detailed outputs also make it easier to understand why an incident was classified and where it should go next. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

The workflow can become harder to navigate once there are many stages and detailed conditions. Keeping the logic and outputs organized takes some discipline, especially when the incident flow becomes more complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines Stories solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tines helps structure incident triage that would otherwise require several manual handoffs. The workflow standardizes alert intake, normalizes incident fields, evaluates severity, identifies the affected rider-experience stage, and routes the investigation to the appropriate engineering area. This makes the triage process more consistent and gives the team a clearer incident record and next steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful No-Code Automation with a Flexible, Secure Visual Interface."

4.5/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

The things that I really like about Tines are its no-code and low-code workflow automation capabilities. In particular, it enables you to automate tedious tasks and connect various apps with ease and without a need for much coding. Another feature of Tines that I like is the visual interface, flexibility and good security capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

Disadvantages of using Tines:

There are certain workflow systems in Tines which cannot be configured easily if you do not have previous experience with automation. Pricing might turn out to be quite high for smaller teams, and debugging the workflow might take some time. It would be great if Tines provides some inbuilt templates to simplify the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines Stories solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tines solves the issue of repetitive manual work through automated workflow across different applications and systems. This ensures fewer errors, faster and consistent operations. This is of great benefit to me since it will save me time and ensure that I become productive and focus on doing other important things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive No-Code Automation with Strong AI and Integrations"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

The Storyboard visual builder makes designing complex automation workflows intuitive without writing code, and it saves significant time compared to scripting each integration manually. The Workbench AI copilot is a standout—being able to trigger actions like lookups or resets through natural language cuts down repetitive manual work. With 200+ native integrations and open REST/GraphQL support, connecting Tines to our existing security and IT stack was smooth. The SOC 2 Type II certification also gives confidence when handling sensitive data across workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

Enterprise pricing is steep—plans can start near $50K/year, which puts it out of reach for smaller teams needing serious automation depth. Onboarding has a real learning curve despite the "no-code" branding, especially for non-technical users trying to build advanced workflows. Some automated flows still need manual intervention, which slightly undercuts the promise of full automation. Integration coverage is broad but still has gaps for niche or less common tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines Stories solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Tines to automate repetitive security and IT workflows that previously required a lot of manual effort. It helps with alert triage, incident response, and routine actions across multiple tools, which reduces response time, improves consistency, and lowers the risk of human error. Overall, it saves time and lets the team focus on more important work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tines Makes SOC Automation Clear, Flexible, and Efficient"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

The biggest win for me with Tines has been how much mundane SOC tasks we can automate away from the analysts. Whether it’s alert enrichment, gathering data from various tools, notifying the right people, or automating away some of the more mundane steps in an investigation. I really appreciate seeing the workflow laid out rather than clicking through a spider web of scripts. It’s also easy to make adjustments to a process if something changes in our security stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

The bigger the story becomes, the stories can get hard to follow if there are many conditions or branches. New analysts will also need some time before they feel confident digging into a workflow to troubleshoot. Would not classify this as a showstopper but you do have to stay on top of organizing your automations or they can get unruly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines Stories solving and how is that benefiting you?

It’s really helped us decrease the amount of manual tasks in our SOC. Prior to implementing Tines our analysts were clicking between tools just to collect basic context for an alert. Now we have a lot of that context gathered before the analyst even begins working on the incident. It’s saved us time and helps standardize our response process while allowing the team to focus more on investigation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive No-Code Automation for Threat Triage"

5/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

Building playbooks using the visual Storyboard builder makes designing complex automation workflows intuitive without writing code. It allows our team to easily connect various apps without relying on complex Python scripts. The platform uses different components called "actions" like Webhooks, HTTP Requests, and AI Agents as the standard building blocks of automation. I also highly appreciate the system's distinct separation between live and test records. This explicit classification ensures that running test queries does not accidentally contaminate our live dashboards. Furthermore, the Workbench AI copilot helps speed up repetitive tasks by accepting natural language prompts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

Despite the strong no-code branding, the platform still has a real learning curve for non-technical users trying to build advanced workflows. Additionally, as your automations grow with many stages and detailed conditions, the visual storyboard can quickly get busy and hard to navigate. The enterprise pricing is also quite steep, sometimes starting near $50K per year, which can be difficult for smaller security teams to justify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines Stories solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our organization constantly battles alert fatigue from suspicious logins and high volumes of phishing attacks. Tines completely eliminates the burden of manually analyzing these routine security alerts. Instead of manually copying hashes into intelligence tools, the platform automatically collects relevant information about alerts and produces an easy-to-read summary in Slack. This automation has the potential to save teams thousands of hours of work, freeing the team up to focus on high-impact projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Great Time-Saver for Small SOC Teams Handling Daily Alert Noise"

4/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

As a SOC Analyst in a small company, our department budget is not enough to have all alerts reviewed by our small team of experts. I use Tines as our SOAR platform to automate routine activities related to triage and investigation of security alerts. We connected our email security gateway, endpoint protection system, and threat intelligence feeds to Tines. Now, instead of me copying and pasting IPs or hashes detected in our security tools into VirusTotal, Tines can collect relevant information about alerts and produce an easy-to-read message in Slack for the rest of the team to investigate and The best thing about Tines is that it provides the needed automation without requiring me to have a degree in computer science or Python programming. As mentioned before, there are not enough resources for me to ask another analyst to write specific python scripts to create our playbook. Tines helps me avoid complex coding and visualize the process as a simple storyboard. I find it particularly helpful when working with webhooks or API’s responses with a lot of data. Instead of trying to parse what I need from a significant amount of unnecessary data, Tines allows me to drag and drop the specific variable I need right into the next step of the automation. It can be an attachment, a phishing link, or details about an email user; I can extract the data I want in one step and use it in the next without additional coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

While the visual storyboard is great for designing new process flows, it can get really busy and confusing as your automation becomes more complicated. For example, if you have a sprawling incident response playbook with dozens of branches and conditional routing, your canvas looks like a spiderweb, making it difficult to explain the logic to new analysts. Moreover, troubleshooting a failed automation can sometimes be a pain. If a 3rd party API you're using decided to change response schema, suddenly your Tines workflow breaks, and the error message can often be misleading, requiring you to dig into the code block by block to find the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines Stories solving and how is that benefiting you?

The most significant problem Tines has helped my team with is the phishing reports. Before implementing this software, we had all the reports in our email box of the SOC inbox. Therefore, I had to open every email, make the sandboxes, extract headers, and check if the domain of the message was malicious or not. It took me several hours a day, decreasing the overall efficiency of the team. Now, Tines can catch every email that is being forwarded to our SOC inbox. It extracts the hashes and URLs and cross-checks them with the threat intelligence databases. If it concludes that the email is suspicious but is a regular newsletter, it declines the trouble ticket and emails the user. However, if it finds any malicious credential harvesting links, it informs me so that the SOC team pages can take further actions. This automation has saved me about 3 hours daily, which I now utilize doing actual threat hunting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Accessible Automation—Just a Bit Overwhelming at First"

3.5/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

What I like best about Tines is how it makes automation accessible without requiring deep programming knowledge. I really like the idea of being able to take repetitive, time-consuming tasks and turn them into automated workflows through a platform that is visual and relatively easy to understand. At the same time, Tines seems powerful enough to handle more complex use cases, especially around security and IT operations. I also appreciate that it can connect different tools and systems, which means teams can spend less time manually moving information between platforms and more time focusing on work that actually requires human judgment. Overall, the combination of flexibility, ease of use, and practical automation is what stands out to me most about Tine Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

One thing I dislike about Tines is that it can feel a little overwhelming when first getting started. There are many features and options, so learning how everything works can take some time, especially for someone new to automation. I also think some of the more advanced workflows could be explained with simpler examples. Overall, these are relatively small issues, and I think the platform becomes much easier to use with practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines Stories solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tines helps solve the problem of repetitive and time-consuming tasks by making automation easier to build and manage. It can connect different tools, move information between them, and reduce the amount of manual work needed. This benefits me by saving time and allowing me to focus on more important tasks instead of repeating the same processes. I also like that I can create useful workflows without needing advanced coding skills Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean, Predictable Automation That Makes Powerful Workflows Easy"

4/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

The best thing about Tines is how clean and predictable the automation model is. Most SOAR platforms drown you in UI clutter, nested menus, and “magic” behaviour. Tines does the opposite - it gives you a small set of agent types, each with a clear purpose, and lets you build extremely powerful workflows without fighting the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

Tines’ biggest drawbacks are its opaque, often high enterprise pricing and the fact it still leans heavily toward security rather than broad IT or business automation. While the platform is powerful, it comes with a real learning curve around JSON, APIs and logic blocks, and some UI areas—like Cases and large Storyboards—can feel a bit rigid or cluttered. Reporting is limited without external tools, and although the free tier is useful, it’s not enough for full SOC operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines Stories solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tines solves the messy, repetitive, high‑volume operational problems that every SOC or MSP deals with — things like alert triage, enrichment, case creation, user lookups, API calls, and stitching together data from tools that don’t naturally talk to each other. By automating these steps, it removes manual grunt work, reduces analyst fatigue, and makes workflows consistent instead of relying on whoever is on shift. For an MSP, the benefit is huge: faster response times, fewer human errors, and the ability to deliver scalable, repeatable security operations across multiple clients without needing to hire more analysts. 4.5/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

I understand that it is a AI orchestration platform for security and IT teams but it is widely used as a drag and drop automation development solution within our organization. it integrates with a variety of solutions and other applications.

Without waiting for custom code or third-party plugins using API the tool provides flexibility, paired with a visual canvas that turns complex logic into intuitive stories and helps day-to-day security operations. It

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

I understand it has less capabilities on the AI automation and integration parts as the tool takes a lot of time to process the information and it is a lot slow so we need to improve on that part.

Secondary concern is regrading the tool cost around the cost and the learning curve for high-level logic needs to be taught to every developers while using the solution Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Automation, Minimal Coding Required"

5/5

What do you like best about Tines Stories?

I use Tines as an automation platform to streamline and manage repetitive workflows, especially in security and operations. The visual workflow builder makes it really easy to design and understand automation, even for complex processes. I don’t need to rely heavily on coding, which speeds things up a lot. It's one of the main reasons Tines is so useful to me. It turns complex automation into something you can actually see and understand at a glance, instead of digging through scripts or code. You're looking at a flow of actions with each step clearly connected. The initial setup was quite straightforward. We didn’t need heavy deployment or a long onboarding process since it’s cloud-based. Most of the effort was about configuring integration rather than installing anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tines Stories?

There are a few things where I feel Tines could improve. Sometimes when the workflow becomes very complex, managing and navigating them can get a bit overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tines Stories solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Tines to automate repetitive workflows, which reduces time and errors in security and operations. The visual workflow builder simplifies creating and understanding complex automations, speeding up the process without heavy coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
