What problems is TastyIgniter solving and how is that benefiting you?
We take orders for pick-up and delivery. Before TI, we were using another option that was not very convenient. We could not take online payments with it and had to manually enter every order into our POS for tendering. We looked at the option offered by our POS, but it was prepay only, which does not work for us, since about half our customers pay at delivery or pick-up. After some research, we found TI and tested it. It lets us take online orders, customers can select a time for pick-up/delivery or simply choose ASAP, customers can pay online or at time of pick-up/delivery. Using the available KDS extension, which allows us to have multiple KDS displays set up, we now have a KDS at our sandwich station and our drink station. This saves time from having to write or print orders, and cuts down on errors from poor handwriting or missing parts of an order. It also has the option of emailing customers when their orders are ready, so they know to pick up or that their delivery is on its way. It's almost like having another employee on hand to just take orders.
Because the system is open and easy to understand, I was able to create a scraping page that pulls the menu information from the online ordering system and formats it for our in-store displays. This means our online and in-store menus are always in sync and if we change something, we only have to change it once instead of multiple times like we used to have to do. If we run out of an item, I mark it disabled in TI's Menu manager and it will immediately disappear from both the website and the in-store menu boards. This is a huge time saver and allows us to adapt on the fly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
