**Reviewed by:** Mark C. | Chief Snacking Officer - CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

It's the best ecommerce platform out there

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

it'a pricey but for a reason. Sometimes there are outside apps that I will shopify just delivered themselves

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

driving ecommerce sales

 ### 2. Unmatched Shopify Ecosystem That Scales Effortlessly as You Grow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

The best thing about Shopify is its unmatched ecosystem. It lets you get started quickly with a simple, user-friendly store, and then scale as much as you need by plugging in thousands of specialized apps as your business grows.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

What I dislike most is the cumulative cost. Relying on paid third-party apps for essential features can quickly inflate your bill, and on top of that, you’re also charged transaction fees if you choose not to use their proprietary payment gateway.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shopify takes care of the complex technical challenges involved in running an e-commerce business—like hosting, security, and payment processing which helps me focus fully on growing my brand and developing products, instead of spending time managing IT infrastructure.

 ### 3. Easy to Use, Integrates with a Ton of Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom G. | Systems & Integrations Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

Easy to use and integrates with a ton of things.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

They still do not have fields for dimensions when considering shipping, only weight.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A need for a platform to host our website and sell our products.

 ### 4. User-Friendly Website Builder with Helpful Shopify AI and Easy App Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

It’s user-friendly and, for me, one of the easiest platforms for creating websites. Sidekick, Shopify AI, helps a lot by providing in-depth information about the store. Apps are also easy to integrate, and you can choose to use only Shopify’s native apps if you prefer.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

The deep research they do about the customer most of the time is not accurate and shut down the Shopify Payments for that store.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creation of websites, no more expensive developers.

 ### 5. Seamless Setup to Launch and Sell Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

It is truly a seamless platform for new business owners to set up their website and sell anywhere in less than a business day. This allows for new business owners to get up and running to market their business

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Sometimes the integrations don’t always work well when getting Facebook ads for example connected to my Shopify website

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of website build and ease of selling anywhere with the tap to pay option on your phone

 ### 6. Easy to Use and Powerful for Creating Websites

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alvaro D. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

I like how easy it is to create and manage Shopify. I also appreciate the theme editor, which works especially well. I switched to Shopify from Squarespace and Wix because it is much more powerful. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

sales attribution is improvable

I use Shopify to create direct sales solutions that allow our customers to offer easy and seamless shopping experiences. I like how easy it is to create and manage.

 ### 7. Effortless Store Setup and Management with Shopify

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subham S. | Senior Process Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

What I like most about Shopify is how easy and intuitive it is to use, even for someone who isn’t very technical. Setting up a store, managing products, tracking orders, and handling payments all feel very smooth and well-organized. I also appreciate the wide range of apps and themes that make it simple to customize the store as the business grows. On top of that, Shopify’s reliability and support give a lot of confidence, especially when running an online business where uptime and security really matter.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

One thing I dislike about Shopify is that the costs can add up as your store grows. Between the monthly subscription, paid apps, and transaction fees (if you’re not using Shopify Payments), it can become expensive for small businesses

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The store's features are quite beneficial for small organizations that are just starting their business.

 ### 8. Streamlined eCommerce, Effortless to Use

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

I truly appreciate Shopify for its user-friendly nature, making it easy to navigate and manage even for beginners. The platform's ease of setup ensures a seamless experience when launching an online store. I am particularly impressed by its integrated tools like Shopify Payments and the abandoned cart recovery, which are instrumental in boosting sales and growth. The extensive App Store offers an array of options to enhance functionality and tailor the platform to specific business needs. Shopify’s ability to integrate with various tools like Klaviyo, QuickBooks, Xero, Salesforce, USPS, UPS, and FedEx is a massive plus, allowing me to maintain a cohesive workflow. Moreover, the centralized management of crucial operations, such as inventory and order processing, from a single dashboard streamlines my business processes and reduces operational complexity and costs. The scalability and reliability of Shopify ensure robust support as my business expands, handling increased traffic and sales without manual interventions. Additionally, comprehensive data and analytics tools within Shopify provide valuable insights into customer behavior and sales trends, aiding informed decision-making. Altogether, these features harmonize to offer a streamlined, efficient, and scalable solution for my e-commerce business.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

Shopify has several areas that users commonly find challenging, primarily related to costs, customization limits, reliance on third-party apps, and certain built-in features that lack depth for growing business.

One aspect I appreciate about Shopify is the ability to create visually appealing websites with a user-friendly interface and clean code. Additionally, the subscription fees are affordable, making it accessible even for small business owners.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

The platform charges a 2% transaction fee on every order. Additionally, the cost of themes starts at 300 USD, which is quite expensive compared to other platforms such as WooCommerce. I also found the learning curve to be a bit steeper than with WooCommerce.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Defense & Space | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Shopify?**

The sheer scale of the ecosystem is what wins for me. Whether I need a specific shipping integration or a niche loyalty program app, it’s usually just a one-click install. The interface is also incredibly intuitive; I didn't need a developer to get my initial storefront looking professional and polished.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

The 'Shopify Tax' can be a bit frustrating—once you start adding necessary third-party apps to get specific features, the monthly overhead climbs quickly. Also, I wish the Liquid code was a bit easier to customize for non-coders without having to dive into the backend files so often.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Freischaffender Künstler, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

The integration process is also smooth and convenient. I find myself using Shopify much more than my previous website provider, and I genuinely enjoy working with its interface.

Shopify is a "business-in-a-box" platform that allows anyone to launch a professional, payment-ready online store in hours using intuitive drag-and-drop templates. It removes the technical headache of coding by handling security, hosting, and mobile optimization right out of the box. With its massive app ecosystem and built-in AI tools, it remains the most scalable solution for growing a brand from a side hustle to a global enterprise.

**What do you dislike about Shopify?**

It gets expensive with all the apps that are required for different things.

**What problems is Shopify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

D2C sales, online shop

Also there seems to be low level of customisation option in terms of themes and colours.
