There has been a slight delay in rolling out the GCP-native node optimization feature. Additionally, the solution is not entirely ideal for ephemeral development or test environments. In my experience, burstable workloads in these rarely used environments can sometimes have their resources reduced too aggressively, which may lead to instability.
