**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The Scale Computing Platform has been consistently reliable and performing to a high standard since we implemented our first cluster back in 2012. During that time the system has seen consistent software upgrades which continue to unlock valuable features and provide added value for us. Upgrades are done without downtime. It is a system I trust to be the backbone of my network and data storage. Tech support demonstrate an excellent level of expertise when handling support requests

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

As a customer based in the UK sometimes support requests aren't responed to right away although I have noticed an improvement in this recently

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Scale Computing Platform is our primary virtulisaton and storage platform within my business, and hosts the vast majority of my virtual machines and data. New systems can be created instantly without the cost and delays of purchasing new hardware. We have a second DR cluster at another site which we use to replicate the main cluster to, greatly enhancing our DR strategy

 ### 2. Seamless Migration and Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian B. | Director of Technical Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I use the Scale Computing Platform for all of our virtualization needs because of its outstanding platform performance. Our migration was easy, and the support has been excellent. I appreciate having a platform that is easily scalable with a clear upgrade path, which was important to our organization. Moving from our previous platform was simple and straightforward with no complications. The support was available every step and continues to be a valued resource when we have questions. Additionally, the initial setup was very simple; after just a few short conversations, we had a plan in place with the Project Manager and their team.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

So far we have been totally happy with our purchase and decision

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find the Scale Computing Platform provides ease of management, outstanding performance, and a straightforward approach. Our migration was simple with excellent support. It's easily scalable with a clear upgrade path, offering significant cost savings.

 ### 3. Easy to use and great customer support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh C. | IT Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Setup of this hyperconverged solution is super simple, and creating and managing virtual machines is so easy my kids could do it. Customer support is very knowledgeable and is there to walk you through the setup step by step. The (rarely needed) support I've received through the years is by far the best I've experienced in the industry. Our company uses Scale clusters on a daily basis for our entire computing environment, and we rarely have problems or need support. The adjustable performance helps meet the needs of different types of servers and users.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I would like to have the option to continue software support on "outdated" or end of life products. I can source hard drives to replace if they fail, so it would be nice to have an extended software support option to extend the life of products to use as a DR failover, or archive servers.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's an affordable and simple solution for our company. We are a smaller business with a relatively small IT budget, and I'm the only full time IT person on staff. Scale cuts down on time required to deploy and manage servers and desktops. It's extremely simple to manage and update, which allows for more time to devote to other projects.

 ### 4. Efficient and Cost-Effective VM Solution with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John S. | Systems Administrator, Building Materials, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2024

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I find SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite very reliable as it just works smoothly. My experience with it has been great, and whenever I've encountered issues, the support from Scale has been responsive and amazing. Setting up a Disaster Recovery cluster was a breeze, and it effectively maintains nearly live replication of our main systems. I particularly value the features like the 3 node cluster, the competitive pricing, and the general ease of use. The initial setup was very easy, especially with the help of our on-site installer who was amazing.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I wish there was a little more control in the environment. Things like scheduling reboots, working natively with our UPS system to handle graceful shutdowns in the case of a power event, etc.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite offers a compact and efficient cluster for our VM needs, replacing a costly VMWare setup. It eases Disaster Recovery setup with nearly live replication. The three-node cluster, pricing, and ease of use were key factors in our switch.

 ### 5. Scale’s Easy GUI Streamlined Server Setup, Compliance Need and Frees Up Admin Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh L. | Assistance Vice President IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The use case for our business was met by Scale's easy to use GUI, which greatly reduced the time needed by our Administrator to build and configure servers. The installation process of the nodes was very simple and their ability to configure the backend of each server was easy to use to ensure that we were able to meet all of our compliance needs. Since we are able to customize the node for our business needs, we were able to ensure that each server has the proper storage and performance requirements that could handle the day-to-day business needs.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Based on the use case of how we are using Scale, we have not run to any issues that would cause us to dislike the suite. The only recommendation we had was more so an enhancement for a one-off situation.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scale's simplistic node design helped us to not only reduce our data center's footprint but also lower the overall data center cost structure. By reducing the size of the datacenter, we could focus our Administrator's efforts to other areas as well adjust the financial assets that were previously allocated to running our primary and colo datacenters.

 ### 6. Slick VM Management and Effortless 3-Node Clustering with HyperCore

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron G. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The way it handles the virtual machines (VMs) is incredibly slick and easy. We implemented a 3-node cluster and have over 12 VMs running between the 3 of them. Pushing updates to the nodes is incredibly easy as it handles moving the VMs from one node to another with extreme ease. The peace of mind knowing that if a node were to unfortunately drop, the other 2 will just pick up the slack is worth the investment.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The only thing I have disliked thus far about HyperCore is the upfront cost. It was a bit high whenever we went to purchase it. However, I'm a firm believer in getting what you pay for. I just feel the cost could have been a little less than it was.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has provided a significant peace of mind from a reliability standpoint. It has also allowed us to unify all of our servers into 1 platform that is tightly integrated together. Prior, we were running on multiple aged servers utilizing 2 different hypervisor technologies.

 ### 7. Scale Computing is a solid alternative to VMware

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos C. | System Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2024

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Scale Computing servers are reliable, fast, and easy to manage.
They are a serious alternative to VMware at times where those subscription fees skyrocketed.
They also have a good and responsive support team and release frequent updates to their system.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Even though servers are easy to manage, I think that the management interface could be more intuitive.
That has all the basic functions, but sometimes I miss a better layout.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I believe that it solves many problems we had in the past.
The solution we have is a 3-node cluster, so just because of this, that gives us high-availability, which means that if one server goes down, everything keeps working.
The management interface allows us to create VMs in the cluster and distributes the VMs among the nodes.
The system also allows us to add more nodes to the local cluster as well as add remote nodes and enable data replication.
Updating Scale system is very easy and it updates one server at a time, not requiring any downtime.

 ### 8. A Robust, Fire-and-Forget Virtualization and DR Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James T. | Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

UI/UX & Seamless Onboarding: The interface is incredibly intuitive, eliminating the steep learning curve usually associated with infrastructure management. The onboarding process is meticulously planned and covers every single aspect of the initial setup, allowing administrators to get the cluster operational without second-guessing their configurations.

Native Integrations & Disaster Recovery: Instead of wrestling with third-party bolt-ons, the H3 system natively integrates layered data protection. Setting up automated snapshot replication from the production cluster to the disaster recovery node is a smooth, highly integrated process that ensures our most critical VMs are always protected and available.

Pricing & Storage Efficiency: The built-in deduplication technology is remarkable and directly improves the total cost of ownership. While the underlying mechanics are complex, the real-world footprint reduction is undeniable. With enterprise storage costs at a premium, this efficiency translates to major cost savings without requiring expensive, separate licensing tiers.

Rock-Solid Performance & Uptime: Stability is the cornerstone of this platform. Even in unstable network environments, the system remains highly resilient and refuses to drop data. Furthermore, cluster updates are handled during active production hours; a node might take 30 to 90 minutes to update, but the cluster handles it seamlessly without a single hiccup. We no longer have to schedule after-hours downtime.

World-Class Support: I cannot speak highly enough of the Scale Computing support team. Their responses are not only fast, but perfectly accurate. I have practically never needed more than one single reply from support to get an issue permanently resolved, which is a rare and invaluable asset in the IT space.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Sometimes importing foreign VMs can be a bit challenging, although there are KB articles available to help. Also, when using the web UI, it’s recommended to use RDP or VNC for better stability instead of relying on the HTML experience for each VM.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datacenter Consolidation: The system has allowed us to significantly reduce our hardware footprint. By reclaiming a substantial amount of rack space, we are running a much more efficient datacenter environment.

Rapid Incident Recovery: When issues do occur, restoring from backups is incredibly fast. This practically eliminates prolonged downtime and ensures we can meet tight recovery objectives.

Streamlined Business Continuity: Historically, setting up offsite disaster recovery is a complex, time-consuming project. With Scale H3, configuring offsite DR is remarkably quick and straightforward, giving us robust protection against worst-case scenarios with minimal administrative effort.

 ### 9. Streamlined VM Management & Improved VM performance after migration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly S. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I really appreciate how the Scale Computing Platform simplifies the process of setting up virtual machines (VMs). Unlike VMware, which involves numerous settings and layers that I find cumbersome, Scale Computing allows me to stand up a VM in just thirty seconds. This streamlined process makes it significantly easier to manage resources efficiently and be more nimble in making them available for specific applications or departments. The platform provides a much cleaner and simpler view for editing and modifying VMs, helping to avoid issues that can arise from misconfigured settings often encountered in more complex systems like VMware. Its simplicity and efficiency are truly valuable to me as they save me considerable time and allow my IT operations to be faster and more flexible. This agility is particularly beneficial in our 24/7 operational environment, where quick and adaptive responses to VM needs are essential.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

With the latest software update I can now copy/paste over to VMs from my local machine which has proved super helpful. Additionally, while setting things up initially was straightforward, transitioning VMs from VMware to Scale has been challenging. As our facility operates 24/7, taking VMs down for hours during the transition is impractical, and the tools we've used, such as Acronis and now OpenText, while functional, have made the process lengthy, especially for large VMs.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find the Scale Computing Platform simplifies VM management, making it easier to set up and modify VMs with a cleaner interface. It avoids misconfiguration issues common in complex systems like VMware, leading to smoother operations and increased efficiency. It is also much easier to stand-up new VMs compared to VMware.

 ### 10. HyperCore Delivers Rock-Solid Uptime with an Intuitive Management Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew M. | Information Technology Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

HyperCore has been a strong performer in our environment. The management interface is clean and intuitive, and our team got comfortable with it quickly without a significant ramp-up period. Performance has been the other major win: we haven’t had a single meaningful downtime event since switching, which, in a logistics operation, is the number that matters most. From a pricing and ROI standpoint, the value has been clear. Consolidating compute, storage, and virtualization into one platform has reduced complexity, and the reliability alone has justified the investment.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

There are a few areas where there’s room for improvement. On the integrations side, the documentation could be more robust. When you need to connect Hypercore to external platforms or line-of-business applications, the available resources aren’t always as detailed as you’d like.

Support has been adequate overall, but response times on lower-priority issues can be slower than ideal. A faster turnaround across all priority levels would improve the experience.

The AI and intelligence features are an area we haven’t been able to explore yet, which is partly on us. That said, better guided onboarding around those capabilities would make it easier for teams to know where to start and what value they can expect.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem HyperCore solves for us is infrastructure complexity. Before consolidating onto this platform, we were dealing with more moving parts, more potential failure points, and more overhead just to keep everything running. HyperCore brought compute, storage, and virtualization together in a way that has significantly simplified our environment. It has also freed up our team to focus more on the business rather than constantly babysitting the infrastructure.

 ### 11. Rock-Solid Migration from VMware with Straightforward UI and Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stone E. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

From start to finish, SCALE has been a great company to work with. We began with a small POC in a branch office, and after that success, we chose them for our migration away from VMware. The product itself has been rock-solid. On the few occasions we’ve needed support, the team has been helpful and knowledgeable, and the sales team was also very helpful leading up to the purchase.

The UI is straightforward and easy to navigate, but it still includes the core settings and features we need. It also has the integrations that matter to us (like Veeam and Entra SSO). On top of that, the cost ended up being about 2/3 of what VMware would have been.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The main thing that feels missing is a true template feature. You can sort of work around it by cloning VMs, but it would be great to have a more robust, dedicated template option built in. Also, depending on what you’re looking for, the lack of AI integration right now could be seen as either a drawback or a positive. I’m not interested in having a chatbot added just to check a box, but I could see AI becoming a useful feature down the road if it’s implemented thoughtfully.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re replacing a very old VMware deployment. With how much VMware has fallen since the Broadcom acquisition, we needed to move away from them as soon as possible. So far, SCALE has required far less maintenance than VMware, and it’s also cheaper.

 ### 12. Great Hyperconverged option. Top of the class, great bang for the buck.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corey S. | Network Support Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I find the software to be easy to use and very robust. The back end and snapshots work really well. The UI/UX is solid and the items are in the locations you expect them to be.

In our experience, the support has been top notch, we've never had an issue raise where we didn't have an answer and a conversation with support in over 4 hours. The price is excellent for the features as well. And it doesn't get all crazy like VMWare does these days.

Definitely our preferred replacement for the production stacks.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

There isn't really anything I dislike. The product does what it is designed to do and has very few hiccups or quirks.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our original deployment allowed us to standardize our production VMs on a resilient and fast platform with easy migration from a Hyper-V Cluster.

Our new deployment will be doing the same, except we will be replacing an ESX cluster, which will save us a bunch of money in license fees from VMWare.

 ### 13. Great Cluster Uptime, But Missing Migration Tools and Snapshot Backup Integration

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim T. | Network Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

If you can swing the cost, having a cluster environment is the best option to go with as you can do upgrades of the system while keeping it fully opertational and also if you have to take a node down for hardware replacement you can do so while keeping the system operational.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

They lack built-in P2V and V2V migration tools, as well as snapshot backup integration with backup software vendors. The GUI feels overly simplified and not as feature-rich as some other products. They also don’t allow you to run the guest from attached storage.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main driving factor was the industry-wide concern about the licensing model and price increases after Broadcom purchased VMware. One benefit we gained from this change was a three-node cluster, which made the guests running on it more resilient.

 ### 14. Reliable technology and efficient support without break your budget

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael Ricardo B. | IT Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2024

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Yo got all the benefits of Hyperconvergence without spend a lot of money, easy to deploy and do not need so much work on maintenance, the support platform is easy to use, phone contact is smooth, replication is very efficient, you can get production and development enviroments together in one platform.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Some vendors do not have specific deploys for VM compatible with Scale systems, but you can ever convert VM's to Scale. The UI is not too fancy but it does what you really need. The platform could improve a bit more on integrations to monitor internal resources with external software.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a reliable platform with high availability and easy way to replicate building a DR site without third party components.

 ### 15. Easy Network Setup and Integrated Storage Make Administration a Breeze

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nico S. | SVP of Information Technology & Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Easy Network setup, especially compared to other hypervisors. I am impressed by the integrated storage management engine, which makes administration a breeze. So far we had no issues with performance on our ssd/hdd cluster.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I think the management interface could use a modern update. I believe this is on the roadmap though.
Integration with 3rd parties is still lacking, for example while Veeam supports Scale, a lot of features are no available (eg SureBackup). I'm hopeful if Scale reaches a higher market share this will make 3rd parties accelerate their development.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like many we were facing ridiculous pricing increase from our previous vendor. We are a medium size business, and Scales solution fit perfectly within our needs.

 ### 16. Simple Interface, Fast Provisioning, and Great Value Virtualization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I love how simple to use their interface is. It lacks some integrations or we have to develop workarounds to get logs integrated into our SIEM. We have not experienced any downtime with performance and the speed at which we can spin up machines and our capacities are quite exception. Compared to other products, it is one of the most cost effective vitualization services out there. The support with onboarding was a little difficult - I would regularly talk to different techs, but the notes they would leave for the next tech must be really detailed because each one knew where the other left off. There is currently no AI in the software and I'm not sure it really needs any in it.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Honestly, there's little I dislike about the suite. I do think maybe the integrations with other services and more robust log outputs would be helpful.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scale's main problem-solving issue for us is that it houses our internal fileserver and critical servers that run core processes through virtualization. The administration of these machines is simple and cost effective compared to some other services I'm aware of.

 ### 17. It just works, and it works well

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott P. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I don't have to spend a bunch of time managing and configuring things. I can tweak it if I want, but mostly it just works without me having to worry about it. And the support has been fantastic. If some guys from Scale stopped by and asked me to go to Waffle House with them to throw down with guys from *redacted*, I would have their backs.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Error conditions could use more detailed descriptions. I rarely run into them, but the last time I did, the message was pretty vague and didn’t give much context about what went wrong.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I migrated from a different, well-known solution to Scale. I was surprised by how easy and simple things were in the Scale environment. I also enjoy that we are using less power with this hyperconverged system than the previous solution (which had caused some problems when it managed to overload the circuit). It also greatly simplified recovery from a recent ransomware attack. Restoring from a snapshot taken hours before the attack greatly sped up the recovery process, and the unspecified malware gang named after a famous Anime can get wrecked.

 ### 18. Simple yet, so sweet!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2022

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The simplicity of the interface and how easy it is to move VMs from one physical node to another node. This by itself is the key for me, having previously been a Hyper-V person.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Overall, SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite has proven to be a reliable and capable virtualization platform. The interface is straightforward, deployment is relatively simple, and the support team has consistently been knowledgeable and helpful when assistance is needed.

My primary concern is the limited availability of diagnostic and troubleshooting tools accessible to administrators. In many cases, meaningful troubleshooting requires engaging Scale Computing Support rather than providing administrators with the ability to independently gather detailed diagnostic information. This can become especially challenging during outages or critical incidents where phone access, internet connectivity, or immediate support availability may be limited.

I would like to see additional built-in diagnostics, health monitoring, logging visibility, and self-service troubleshooting capabilities made available within the platform. Empowering administrators with more advanced tools would reduce downtime, improve issue resolution times, and provide greater confidence when managing production environments, particularly in K–12 and other resource-constrained organizations where IT staff may need to respond quickly without direct access to vendor support.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scale solves the uptime issue we were experiencing. Being able to fail-over or reboot a physical node while having the guest VMs still running has eliminated some needless downtime while doing maintenance.

 ### 19. SC// HyperCore: Simple, All-in-One Platform That Cuts Infrastructure Complexity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

SC// HyperCore combines virtualization, storage, and high availability into a single platform. There's far less complexity than managing separate hypervisors, SANs, and clustering technologies. It can be deployed quickly and managed through a straightforward web interface.
For smaller IT teams—or even a single administrator—it's attractive because it reduces the time spent maintaining infrastructure. Rolling updates, node replacements, and cluster management are designed to be non-disruptive.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

SC// HyperCore's biggest strength is simplicity, but that can also be a limitation. Some administrators find that it lacks the depth of advanced features, integrations, and fine-grained controls available in larger virtualization ecosystems like VMware or Nutanix.

Because many deployments are sold as integrated HCI appliances, hardware refresh cycles can become a consideration. Some users have expressed frustration around hardware end-of-life timelines and upgrade paths.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SC// HyperCore simplifies virtualization, storage, and high availability into a single platform, reducing complexity and administrative overhead. The biggest benefit for me is improved reliability and easier management, allowing me to spend less time maintaining infrastructure and more time focusing on business improvements, security, and cost optimization initiatives.

 ### 20. Simple Setup, Excellent Support, and Big Savings with Scale

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chantell M. | Director of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

It is truly simple to use, even for someone with a non-technical background. Setup/deployment is quick, documentation is excellent, and support has been top notch. We saved a significant amount of money switching from VMware to Scale, and although we originally had to use a workaround for our Veeam integration, that was resolved quickly as Scale completed a native integration.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

None that I am aware of. We have been extremely happy with the product and support from purchase to deployment to regular use.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our pricing for VMware jumped significantly, and Scale was able to provide us a more scalable solution that meets our needs at significantly less cost.

 ### 21. Painless VMware Migration with Fast, Involved Support and an Excellent Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

We swapped over from VMware to SC// solutions and the process from purchase to implementation was painless. The support is our favorite, as they were involved, aware, and extremely fast to reply with our concerns. The interface is excellent, and our skills transferred from VMware well. WE did not have many integrations, however knowing they exist is helpful for us too. So far performance is great (we had the Lenovo machines as a back end running this) and price was moderate to great for affordability.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

We have not run into a lot to be disappointed about - the biggest hurdle we hit was the migration, picking the right BIOS/UEFI and spinning up a template, but once you do it once and figure it out, it is simple again. Support helped.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SC// is solving our on prem HCI problems for us and is doing well.

 ### 22. Scale Computing - among the very best choices I have made as a network manager.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary B. | Network Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2023

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

When creating VMs, setting up the # of CPUs, allocated memory and disk space is incredibly simple. I've set up VMs running Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2008, Windows 10, Centos 7, and Redhat 8. In my opinion, one of the best features of Scale Computing is how easy I can manage my VMs.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Scale doesn't (at the time of this writing) support Microsoft's VM-Generation ID feature. This feature is intended to allow for the safe rollback of a Domain Controller from a snapshot when there is more than one Domain Controller in use.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had numerous hardware platforms that were approaching (or had outlived) their end of life. These included database servers, file servers and user resources, such as print servers. Numerous old servers could not be upgraded to the newest Windows editions and we were experiencing hardware failures. Moving everything to Scale Computing gave us an avenue to escape from hardware refresh headaches.

With Scale we eliminated a great deal of hardware by virtualizing these functions. We reduced our physical footprint and the cost to operate and cool all that hardware. Another big win was being able to virtualize and operate older operating systems when licensing or compatibility issues precluded a move to anything newer. Scale helped us assemble and use tools to virtualize some very old systems which would be impossible to keep running as hardware.

 ### 23. The Cadillac for IT

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rudy I. | System Administration/IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Ease of use. Easier to build new VM's, and restore from snpashots when required. I had to restore one of our VM Servers, and within 3 clicks we had restored the server and had it up and running within a minute. It was such a relief and definitely helps to reduce stress. The system was easy to implement and to migrate existing VM's was easy as well. Integrating into our environment was simple and easy and prepping the network was a breeze. The use frequently, as the best part of this system is mostly set it and forget it unless you have to create a new VM. When I reach out to customer support, they are super firendly and really know their stuff. I said in the past I had never had a bad experience, but I did. Im going to leave my review at this point as the G2 review asked me to verify I was human and deleted the rest of my review which was taking me quite a bit to provide.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

To be completely honest and transparent, the only issue I have is that you cant set a VM to run automatically upon powering up, especially after a power outage. It would be nice if this could be stup like with Microsoft Hyper-V.
Another issue we have come across, we do have some applications we run in house, bought commercially that wont run on the Linux Hypervisor. We have had to purchase a big enough desktop to run Hyper-V on it so we could run 4 programs. These programs are vital to our company and this is what we had to do to overcome this short comings.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Peace of mind. Im able to focus on other topics throughout the day and not worry about the safety of our virtual machines.
Scalability is also a big issue, it has let us grow as we needed and the fault tolerances behind this systems is amazing.
Replacing a dailed drive is very easy, and can be resolved quickly.
Now that they partnered with Veeam, the backup process is a bit easier than using Acronis.
Veeam ties into Scale fairly easy and the customer support they provide is far better than the one and the entire process we had to go through with Acronis.

 ### 24. Effortless Virtualization with Minimal Training

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander K. | Mgr Information Security, Food Production, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Simple to use, has amazing support, and one vendor to deal with, unlike other solutions where when there is an issue they all point at each other. Easy to install and maintain. Performance has been solid.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

My current clusters the NIC's are not able to be setup in a Adaptive Load Balancing Active/Active setup. Would prefer that. Would also like to see promiscuous mode available.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform is easy to use, maintain, and implement. In the past when we had issues with VMware they would blame hardware and hardware would blame VMware. The snapshot and replication is amazing and makes DR much smoother.

 ### 26. User-Friendly Admin Dashboard, Zero-Downtime Updates, and Prompt Support

 ### 27. Intuitive and Easy to Manage for Confident Server Administration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nic S. | Director of Techology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I appreciate how easy Scale is to manage. The platform is intuitive, allowing any member of our technology team to confidently administer and maintain our servers without requiring specialized expertise.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Overall, I am very satisfied with the platform and its capabilities. One feature I would like to see is more granular remote access controls, allowing administrators to grant specific users remote access to only designated servers rather than providing broader access permissions.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

he biggest challenge was maintaining a solution that fit within our budget over time. Cost sustainability was a major factor in our decision-making process.

 ### 28. Rock solid performance - great tech support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Director of Technology, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I like the simplicity of the Scale Computing Platform vs VMWare and HyperV. Prior to moving to Scale Computing we had a full 7' rack of equipment and another half rack to run our environment. With that were a multitude of cables that were hard to keep up with, and we didn't even have advanced failover features such as VMotion, etc.
Scale Computing simplified the entire setup dramatically with less cabling and just a few rack units of space in comparison. Plus it comes with the more advanced failover, high availability and disaster recovery features out of the box.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

There is not much to dislike about Scale Computing in my opinion. If I had to choose one thing it would be that new downloaded virtual machines are a little more difficult to deploy because they are typically made for VMWare or HyperV and usually not for Scale or KVM. That is a small inconvenience though.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtualization solves a lot of our issues already but easy management of that virtualization is where Scale shines. The simplicity of the setup and the knowledge from their support department allows me to have multiple staff members who can help manage it if needed.

 ### 29. Scale Makes VM Migration and DR Connectivity Seamless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie R. | Director of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Scale is onboard, set up, and relax technology. Migration of VMs was simplified using its migration tool. Conncted to office DR Scale host is seemless.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The only downside to Scale is understanding the Warnings and getting used to its simplified structure.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a school district with a small IT team, we need infrastructure that is reliable and easy to manage. SC//HyperCore reduces virtualization complexity, improves system availability, and simplifies management, allowing us to spend more time supporting students and staff and less time maintaining infrastructure.

 ### 30. Scale Computing HC3: Simplified Infrastructure with Practical Tradeoffs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc C. | Regional Director of Sales, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

What I like best about the Scale Computing platform is its simplicity and operational efficiency. The HC3 architecture consolidates compute, storage, and virtualization into a single, tightly integrated solution, which eliminates the complexity of managing multiple vendors and layers of infrastructure.

From a day-to-day standpoint, the platform is extremely easy to deploy, manage, and scale. Tasks that are traditionally time-intensive—such as provisioning VMs, expanding storage, or performing upgrades—are streamlined and can be completed quickly without specialized expertise.

The built-in high availability and self-healing capabilities provide confidence in uptime and resilience without requiring additional licensing or complex configuration. This is especially valuable in environments where IT resources are limited but reliability is critical.

Additionally, the reduced administrative overhead and predictable performance make it a strong fit for distributed environments and MSP-managed clients, where consistency and ease of support are key.

Overall, it delivers enterprise-level capability with a much simpler operational model compared to traditional hypervisor and SAN-based architectures.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

What I dislike about the Scale Computing platform is primarily centered around its limitations compared to more mature, enterprise-grade ecosystems. While the simplicity is a strength, it can also become a constraint in more complex environments.

The platform has a more limited feature set when it comes to advanced networking, integrations, and customization. Organizations that rely on highly granular controls, third-party integrations, or specialized configurations may find the platform restrictive compared to solutions like VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.

Additionally, visibility and reporting can be somewhat limited. For MSPs and larger environments, deeper analytics, monitoring integrations, and centralized multi-cluster management capabilities would improve operational efficiency.

There can also be challenges around ecosystem support. Not all backup, security, or third-party tools integrate as seamlessly, which can require workarounds or limit standardization across environments.

Finally, while the platform is easy to use, troubleshooting can sometimes be less transparent due to the abstraction of underlying systems. This can make deeper diagnostics more difficult compared to traditional architectures where administrators have more direct control.

Overall, the platform is excellent for simplicity and ease of use, but it can fall short in flexibility, extensibility, and advanced feature depth for more complex or highly standardized IT environments.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Scale Computing platform is solving the complexity and cost associated with traditional infrastructure by consolidating compute, storage, and virtualization into a single, easy-to-manage solution. It eliminates the need to design, procure, and support separate SANs, hypervisors, and backup integrations, which significantly reduces both deployment time and ongoing operational overhead.

From a practical standpoint, this simplifies day-to-day IT operations. Routine tasks such as provisioning virtual machines, expanding storage, performing upgrades, and maintaining system health are streamlined and can be handled without deep specialization. This allows teams to focus more on delivering value to the business rather than managing infrastructure.

It also addresses reliability challenges through built-in high availability and self-healing capabilities. In environments where downtime directly impacts operations, having resiliency natively included—without requiring additional licensing or complex configuration—provides measurable benefits in uptime and service continuity.

For MSP-managed environments, the platform reduces support complexity and standardizes deployments across multiple clients. This leads to faster onboarding, more predictable performance, and lower support costs. It also helps mitigate risk in smaller or resource-constrained IT environments by providing enterprise-grade functionality without requiring a large internal team.

Overall, the platform is benefiting us by reducing infrastructure complexity, lowering total cost of ownership, improving reliability, and enabling more efficient use of technical resources.

 ### 31. Affordable, Functional alternative to VMware

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad F. | Sr. Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2023

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

VM filtering in dashboard. Ability to view all snapshot schedules and vm configs at a glance.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Better dashboard at cluster level, without having to pay extra for the unified management service. Ram usage hard to see at host level. Larger virtual disk size, 16TB small by 2026 standards.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Greatly simplified our compute, storage and network stack in our datacenter.
Vastly reduced our costs compared to previous solution freeing up budget for other projects.
Much easier to add extra compute and storage to our array.
Single point of contact for support vs seperate contract for Servers and/or SAN.

 ### 32. Easy-to-Use UI, Great Integrations, and Strong Cluster Performance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The most helpful thing about the scale hyper-converge is that, more and more infrastructures at edu levels requires various instant components and changing of staff doesn't help the knowledge level, hence the scale virtualization fits in the rhelm. The ui interface is easy to use, the integrations of various os is great. The performance of a cluster structure is awesome without having to dig through so many menu items. As a edu district pricing has to meet the funding requirements for the fiscal year. Support is able to get me answer that I thought was great. Although a few more AI integration in means of what may be happening with a cluster would help get our organization more stable for the cluster.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The requirement that many edu districts see is running as long as possible, hence the 5 year and must change out is a great plan but maybe not for all districts alike due to funding.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having inherited a ms cluster then importing that into a scale cluster improved reliability and ability to get things more in order and stable for the server and virtualized workstations, which is a problem solved for a edu district.

 ### 33. Rock-Solid Reliability and Proactive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin J. | Director of Information Technolofy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

SC// HyperCore is one of the few products that, as the Director of Information Technology, I don’t have to worry about. The system just runs and keeps running. If and when there’s a failure, support informs me before I even realize there’s a problem.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The only real negative with this product might be the cost, but it’s worth it overall. The price can be a bit shocking at first.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Uptime and reliability are no longer issues.

 ### 34. Great Pricing and Top-Notch Support, Great for Small Organizations & K12 Schools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

What I like most about Scale is the pricing and the support. Their support is top-notch and consistently helpful.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Some people might view its simplicity as a negative, but when you’re a small organization—or, in our case, a K–12 public school district—we really appreciate it. That simplicity makes it easier for us to use and manage. We are a bit concerned about what the future may hold now that Scale has been acquired by another company, but we’re still hopeful about what comes next.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There aren’t really any “problems,” per se, but Scale was the most cost-effective virtualization suite available that also came with a support agreement.

 ### 35. Cost-Effective and Effortless Migration

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I like SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite because it's easy to implement and easy to use. The cost is great and it's not overpriced. I find the ability to use Veeam with it to be a huge advantage. As a school district, cost is very important to us, and that played a big role in moving away from VMware. We're already a Veeam customer, which made the migration from VMware to SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite extremely effortless. The initial setup for SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite was very easy, and it's currently doing everything we need it to do, which is wonderful.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

no local vendors

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite to replace our VMware environment due to cost. It's easy to implement, use, and not overpriced. The ability to use Veeam made migration effortless, aligning perfectly for a school district.

Amazing product at a reasonable price point. It’s easy to manage, maintain, and upgrade, which makes it simple to keep everything running smoothly.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

wish it integrated a little better with more venders (Specifically backup vendors) but i really have nothing bad to say about it

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves multiple licensing issues for us as well as the need for multiple products and minimal rack space

 ### 37. Effortless Setup, Outstanding Support, and Flexible Snapshots

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Terry T. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I really like the ease of use. After just a few basic training sessions you are up to speed on most of what you'll ever need. Single pane of glass and simple to get around to everything from configuration to support. And the support is excellent. Several options from e-mail, chat, and when it's an emergency you can call and get an easy to understand support agent right away. I also like the flexibility in creating snapshots. You can create as many snapshots and be very granular which is helpful because you can always snapshot all severs on the same frequencies. Having all of your snapshots on a remote DR (separate purchased device) is well worth it.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Bringing over some of my VM's from my previous platform were a little cumbersome. Some came over just fine using the Scale tool, but some of them didn't work so well and I ended up using another tool to move some of my VMs. I still have one really old linux based system that I couldn't get migrated to Scale. But this really isn't a Scale issue, but it's something to keep in mind when transitioning to Scale.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main thing that Scale solved for me what giving me a reliable disaster recovery model that I can easily fail-over to and rely on in a very short time-frame. It depends on your setup, but you can have a really short RTO/RPO with Scale.

 ### 38. Technical Services Representative & Network Engineer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan G. | Technical Services Rep, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The platform is dead simple to get going, and hard to break -- i.e. You can spin up a VM pretty quick and it's almost certainly going to start working with minimal configuration unlike competitors, where you have to ensure 8000 different settings are tweaked just right. Scale Hypercore is the virtualization equivalent of Nrivana -- plug it in and play, click the distortion pedal once, and get something you like. Competitors are a bit of a Wilco situation where, sure, it sounds nice, but I just watched the guitarist on his knees tweaking 4000 knobs to get that sound. That does not smell like teen spirit to me.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have, the facts of life. Well, sometimes the good is also the bad. Want more options to tune a VM? NO. So, you know, anyone looking to produce a Wilco-esque VM is going to have to settle for something a bit more grungy.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run our most important infrastructure on a cluster and it is and has been rock solid

 ### 39. Easy to Use with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

We have ran into vendors not wanting to support the system but have yet to no get something to run on the system.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost is the major problem it solved and ease of use and management.

 ### 41. Innovative Hypervisior with great potential

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Updates and new features continue to be released regularly, even for hardware that is over five years old. Over time, it has become clear just how stable and reliable the cluste is - it even survived many power cuts!

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The GUI and the dashboard could be made clearer and more user-friendly; they look very outdated

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides us with very high availability of our virtual servers. And that at very low cost. With Scale we can create new virtual servers quickly and easily.
Thanks to high-performance hardware, our applications run quickly and reliably.

 ### 42. Solid Virtualization with Ease of Use, Needs Feature Improvements

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I use SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite as our primary virtualization platform for the entire organization. I appreciate its solid availability, robust resources, and flexibility for our VM needs. It's very easy to stand up new devices. We have a wide variety of OS types that we need access to regularly, and SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite handles this well. I like the ease of use, and the initial setup was very easy too.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Compared to VMware, some features are lacking or not as intuitive. Manipulation of snapshots, drive and volume manipulation, and restoring are areas of concern. Restoring volumes or VMs has been a pain point and is not as streamlined as it should be.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Floyd M. | IT Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 01, 2024

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I find the Scale Computing Platform extremely valuable for its ease of use, especially in creating and managing virtual servers. Its user-friendly interface enables me to easily create both Windows and Linux servers, which significantly simplifies virtualization tasks. The security features, along with the Business Upload Data Restoration (BUDR) solutions, provide peace of mind and ensure robust server management. I particularly appreciate the snapshot feature that allows local server backups, making restoration straightforward in case of issues. The transition from VMWare to Scale was smooth, and I am satisfied with the enhanced support provided by Scale, which is far superior to what I experienced previously. Additionally, Scale's compatibility with Acronis for both local and web-based backups, along with the added support for Veeam, offers flexibility and reliability in managing our backup solutions. The responsive customer support team further enhances my experience by promptly resolving hardware issues, such as the time when a RAM stick failed. I would confidently recommend the Scale Computing Platform due to these aspects, as it has proven to be a reliable and effective solution for our virtual environment needs.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The only challenge I encountered with Scale Computing Platform was during the initial setup, which required some training. Although the process of server transfer from VMware to Scale was straightforward, I faced an issue with the Microsoft licenses that needed to be purchased. This licensing issue prevented me from giving a perfect score of 10, as the transfer could have been smoother without this complication.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the Scale Computing Platform to efficiently virtualize servers, create virtual environments effortlessly, manage resources seamlessly, and protect data with reliable BUDR solutions. Its user-friendly interface and snapshot features enhance ease of use and data restoration, surpassing our previous VMware setup.

 ### 46. Easy Setup, Amazing Support, and Great Pricing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The product is extremely easy to setup and use. Support was amazing and helped walk us through the entire process. Pricing was also very good overall.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The product is amazing and the only thing I would like to see more of in the interface is performance statistics and more customizable options for the layout of the main page. Performance stats would be great for the hosts and all of the virtual machines. Zooming in on parts of the main page would make parts of the view much easier to use and interface with.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were able to continue using a virtualization suite with a good cost structure and all the functionality that we need without having to pay the insane costs that Broadcom is asking for.

 ### 47. Simple, Clean UI with Quick, Helpful Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

Scale is simple, easy to use, and has a clean ui that makes managing your virtual environment simple. Support is quick to respond and help.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

Some features that you typically can configure in other hypervisors are missing or hiding behind the API for scale. An example of this is boot behaviour. Migrating VMs from an existing hypervisor or performaing restored from disk images is not the obvious process.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provides us with hardware and hypervisor suite, under support which allows us to spend our time in other areas.

 ### 48. Effortless Manageability and Ease of Use

This was so much easier to set up than other hypervisors I’ve used. Customer Support has been the best I’ve worked with, and the product does everything I need it to do.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

I wish they offered more backup options, but I understand they’re currently more focused on redundancy and offsite replication.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're a small business, but we service a number of customers. Scale gives us the flexibility to deploy resources as we need them, quickly, and with little to no downside.

 ### 50. HyperCore Suite: One-Stop On-Prem Virtualization in a Single Interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The HyperCore suite is one stop for my on-prem virtualization. With other solutions there are different tools and then the management the hardware drivers and firmware updates. SC takes care of it all in one interface.

**What do you dislike about SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite?**

The need for 3 needs is a bit of challenge. While other solutions can operate with 2 nodes, SC requires 3 from the jump outside of smaller, more specialized single node deployment. Rackspace, network, and power needs should be evaluated and planned for accordingly.

**What problems is SC// HyperCore Virtualization Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of management and less lift from our small team. It's also set to improve our RTO and RPO numbers. Additionally, we no longer have to deploy tools to endpoints for management of VM's or the underlying hypervisor.
