"Centralized Data Management with User-Friendly UI"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I like how SAP Business Data Cloud makes it easy to manage the data sources through its UI. It's a major help for us because we can easily locate the datasources and alter and update them. I find the centralized data management useful and the ease of using the UI is a big plus. The bulk operations feature is a time saver, and I kind of like it. The UI allows us to edit any attribute of a product and also perform bulk uploads of changes, which is comparatively easy. It's reliable and minimizes errors since everything happens in front of our eyes naturally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I find the limitations on how many transformations I can do with the data sources quite restrictive. It works great for lookup tables and smaller tables, but when it comes to other tables that might need heavy transformations, it feels limited. It would be really helpful if we could use coding, like SQL queries, to manipulate complex data. I also think there should be better integration with servers and applications for import/export operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unifying Analytics with Intuitive Ease"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I use SAP Business Data Cloud for looking at insights across various attributes like product, revenue, and customer. It helps me differentiate between SAP and Non-SAP data, and all the data being in one place allows for quick user insights and decision making. I enjoy product analytics on it because it's simple and user-friendly. I find the analytics features to be a lifesaver, especially when sharing product metrics with leadership. The advanced product analytics, along with ML models for churn, LTV, and cohorts, and its large-scale data processing capabilities are impressive. The UI is better, and the features seem exponentially higher compared to Mixpanel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

Modeling steps could be simplified. I feel it's mixing everything by not separating the data into fact and dimension tables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Capable with a Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I really value SAP Business Data Cloud for its highly valued functionality, allowing me to govern and contextualize data from SAP and non-SAP sources. It creates a trusted foundation, reducing data extraction costs, and offers seamless integration with SAP Data Studio. These features bring consistent data definition, stronger compliance, and security controls, enabling real-time data support and providing a better architecture. The trust in analytics and reporting is better, which helps avoid duplication and duplicate efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I would say there's a bit of complexity in its setup and architecture. Learning curve can sometimes be kind of a tedious process, considering that it has advanced modeling and requires deeper training. Obviously, the cost considerations take a lot of performance tuning. While documentation exists, it's the real-world use cases that can sometimes be improved. I would say it would accelerate decision making and reduce experimentation time. The initial setup was manageable, but not exactly like a plug and play. Certain things needed more effort like architecture planning, non-SAP integration, and the skill gap learning curve. The IT cost and complexity in its architecture for those aspects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Data Mastery with SAP Business Data Cloud"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I like how SAP Business Data Cloud provides a unified, governed, and analytics-ready data foundation across SAP and non-SAP systems. The seamless integration with the SAP ecosystem, especially core applications like SAP S/4HANA and SAP BW, makes accessing business-critical data straightforward. I appreciate having a single source of truth, which centralizes data and ensures consistent and reliable data across reports and teams, greatly reducing discrepancies and improving trust in analytics. The platform offers analytics-ready data that is well-structured and modeled, reducing the need for heavy preprocessing. Its strong data governance and security features include robust access controls and data lineage, ensuring data is secure, compliant, and traceable. The scalability and performance of SAP Business Data Cloud are impressive, as it can efficiently handle large volumes of enterprise data and support growing analytics needs. Additionally, it reduces data engineering efforts by simplifying data integration, modeling, and management, allowing teams to focus more on generating insights. What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

While SAP Business Data Cloud from SAP SE is very powerful, there are a few areas where it could be improved: 1. Initial Setup and Learning Curve - The platform can be complex for new users, especially those unfamiliar with the SAP ecosystem, which slows down onboarding. 2. Performance with Very Large or Complex Queries - Query performance can sometimes be slower for complex transformations or very large datasets. 3. Limited Flexibility Compared to Custom Data Platforms - It may be less flexible than fully custom-built data architectures for specific use cases. 4. Integration with Some Non-SAP Systems Can Require Extra Effort - Integrating certain third-party or legacy systems may need additional configuration. 5. Monitoring and Troubleshooting Could Be More User-Friendly - Debugging and identifying root causes is not always straightforward. 6. Cost Can Be a Consideration - Licensing and operational costs may be high for smaller teams or organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unifies Data but Steep Learning Curve"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I like that SAP Business Data Cloud provides a single, trusted view of data across the company. It's really helpful that we no longer have to stitch together numbers from different systems and hope they reconcile, as the data is modeled, standardized, and governed in one place. The biggest difference for me is how much smoother the day-to-day work feels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I find the complexity and learning curve of SAP Business Data Cloud quite a challenge. The platform is powerful, but the concepts like data products, semantic layers, and governance models aren't always intuitive for business users. The initial setup was fairly structured, but data modeling, harmonization, and governance design were especially challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

What I dislike most about SAP Business Data Cloud is that it can feel complex to understand at first, especially for new users. "Efficient Data Federation with Minor UI Hiccups"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I like the data federation capability of SAP Business Data Cloud, which allows me to pull from S/4HANA without having to move terabytes of data. This feature significantly cuts the development cycle, almost by 40%. Another aspect I enjoy is not having to manually join VBRK and VBRP and debug TCURR tables; I can use the ready-made CDS views for this. Also, I appreciate integrating it with Snowflake, especially liking the zero copy sharing feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

The UI can get laggy sometimes, especially when the models get complex. Also, the initial setup was a bit painful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhancing Data Quality and Insights with SAP Business Data Cloud"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

SAP Business Data Cloud is its ability to provide high-quality, reliable, and up-to-date business data in one place. It makes it easy to enrich, validate, and standardize customer, supplier, and business partner information, which improves decision-making and reduces errors. I also appreciate how it integrates seamlessly with other SAP solutions, allowing data to flow smoothly across systems. The platform’s automated data management and insights help save time and effort, while ensuring compliance and consistency. Overall, it turns messy, fragmented data into a trusted, actionable resource that supports smarter business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

SAP Business Data Cloud include its reliance on internet connectivity and subscription-based access, which can be limiting in certain environments. Initial setup and integration with existing systems can be complex, especially for organizations with diverse data sources. Additionally, while it provides high-quality data, customizing or enriching it for very specific business needs may require extra effort or external tools. The cost can also add up for extensive usage or large datasets. Overall, while powerful, it can feel somewhat rigid and resource-intensive for smaller teams or highly specialized workflows.
