"Enhancing Data Quality and Insights with SAP Business Data Cloud"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

SAP Business Data Cloud is its ability to provide high-quality, reliable, and up-to-date business data in one place. It makes it easy to enrich, validate, and standardize customer, supplier, and business partner information, which improves decision-making and reduces errors. I also appreciate how it integrates seamlessly with other SAP solutions, allowing data to flow smoothly across systems. The platform’s automated data management and insights help save time and effort, while ensuring compliance and consistency. Overall, it turns messy, fragmented data into a trusted, actionable resource that supports smarter business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

SAP Business Data Cloud include its reliance on internet connectivity and subscription-based access, which can be limiting in certain environments. Initial setup and integration with existing systems can be complex, especially for organizations with diverse data sources. Additionally, while it provides high-quality data, customizing or enriching it for very specific business needs may require extra effort or external tools. The cost can also add up for extensive usage or large datasets. Overall, while powerful, it can feel somewhat rigid and resource-intensive for smaller teams or highly specialized workflows. "Powerful Semantic Layer and Integration, But Naming and Licensing Need Clarity"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

Business-ready semantic layer, not just tables. I can model “Order,” “Customer,” and “Inventory” once and reuse those views across pipelines, dashboards, and test harnesses. It keeps test data aligned with how the business actually speaks about the domain.

Federation without heavy copies. Virtual access to SAP and non-SAP sources lets us validate end-to-end flows without shuffling giant CSVs around. That means fewer brittle “data sync” steps before a run.

Built-in path to analytics and AI. Since Analytics Cloud and AI features ride on the same layer, I can wire smoke checks that compare KPIs before/after a deploy and flag anomalies early. Databricks integration that feels native. When we need heavier ML or feature engineering, the Databricks tie-in shortens the hop from curated business data to notebooks/jobs. Good for performance test data generation too.

Clearer governance. Cataloging, lineage, and role-based access help us prove who saw what during testing, useful in audits and post-mortems Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

Naming churn = confusion. The shift from Datasphere to “Business Data Cloud” tripped up onboarding and documentation for a bit. Licensing and limits aren’t crystal clear. Budget planning gets tricky as features and SKUs evolve. Steep-ish learning curve. The semantic modeling and governance pieces are powerful, but new testers need time to get productive. "dependable data management"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

Everything is more organized because SAP Business Data Cloud makes it simple to consolidate data from various systems. I appreciate how the platform maintains data consistency across departments and updates information rapidly. Additionally, the interface aids in the clear visualization of important metrics, which facilitates comprehension of business operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

Because there are so many advanced options, some sections require some time to learn. Loading can be a little slow when dealing with very large datasets. Having more integrated tutorials for novice users would also be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective data harmonization, but costly"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I appreciate the methods or technologies of SAP Business Data Cloud for sharing data with third-party tools. This functionality is, in my opinion, very well implemented, although I must admit that it is extremely expensive. The solution for data harmonization and data unification while maintaining the semantic context of the data from SAP source systems is also very valuable. The ability to share SAP data with third-party systems like Microsoft also works well, which speaks for integration and flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I don't like that there is no free tier version of SAP Business Data Cloud, similar to SAP BTP. This makes the entry barriers for customers very high. The pricing model is extremely non-transparent and not really flexible compared to other solutions. It is unclear, and SAP cannot precisely say which or how many capacity units are needed for different types of problems or scenarios. Additionally, it is very tedious to establish a connection to the source systems, and there is no unified source of information; instead, one has to rely on many different places in the SAP ecosystem, which is very cumbersome if problems arise during setup. "Intuitive with Room for Enhanced Integration"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I find SAP Business Data Cloud to be very intuitive, which simplifies many of our processes. Its automatic functionalities streamline our data operations, allowing us to efficiently pull in data from our SAP system as well as third-party sources. This capability is crucial as it makes data integration straightforward and enhances the quality of data we receive. I appreciate how the platform gathers extensive information, functioning as a key driver to identify patterns and links in data. This not only suggests improvements but also maximizes the potential of AI and machine learning applications across our systems. Overall, the platform's ability to automatically manage substantial data influx is impressive and adds significant value to our operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I feel that SAP Business Data Cloud doesn't really feel fully cohesive at times. Even though the software is supposed to communicate with other SAP applications, it doesn't integrate very well with them. This lack of integration is an area that needs improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Data Management with Impressive Scalability"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I appreciate the seamless integration of SAP Business Data Cloud with other SAP solutions, which makes managing enterprise data across different systems more efficient. Its ability to centralize and govern data ensures consistency and trust in our analytics and reporting. I love the strong data governance features, which help in maintaining data quality and facilitate sharing reliable information across teams. The scalability and performance are truly impressive, as it efficiently handles large data volumes, and its unified data modeling tools align well with both technical and business perspectives. Additionally, the smooth initial setup, with straightforward provisioning and connectivity to SAP systems, was beneficial. These characteristics make SAP Business Data Cloud a powerful, scalable solution that provides a solid foundation for data-driven initiatives within our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

Some configurations can be complex at the beginning, especially when setting up data access controls. Also, better documentation and easier integration with certain non-SAP systems would make it even stronger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Data Platform with Room for AI Enhancement"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I appreciate that SAP Business Data Cloud offers a unified platform for managing, integrating, and analyzing enterprise data, providing real-time insights and strong data governance. Its capability to offer seamless connectivity across both SAP and non-SAP systems is incredibly beneficial. The platform overcomes challenges such as data silos, inconsistent data quality, and limited visibility, which significantly enhances decision-making by providing a unified and trusted view of enterprise data. Moreover, it ensures seamless data integration from multiple sources and offers real-time access to accurate information, thus strengthening data governance. This functionality makes it invaluable, especially in improving data quality and visibility across systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I want to see enhanced AI-driven analysis and better cost optimization in SAP Business Data Cloud. Additionally, improving its integration capabilities with non-SAP systems would be beneficial. I found the on-premise setup not very easy; it requires proper planning, data mapping, and integration setup with existing systems. Although ongoing management becomes easier once the initial setup and governance models are configured, the initial phase was challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Scalable, and Insightful—Wish for a Longer Free Trial"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

This SAP business cloud provide great speed with scalability according to the need , with right demand it is providing right supply and hence we pay as we need it . Also the feature of real time insights are helpful to get latest info. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

Overall it is good but it can increase the free trial limit for the new developers.

Also for the paid one the issue is with the unused instances as we have to pay for unused instances as if remains open.

The thing is we have to look on the instances for closing it and similarly have to look for the instances whose limits are reach where we are getting alerts.

Also there is no auto cutoff at some amount of money if we want to stop it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong platform for unified data, but costly and complex at times"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I like how SAP Business Data Cloud makes it easy to connect SAP and non-SAP data while still keeping the business context intact. The performance is solid, and the pre-built data products really cut down on time. Integration with Databricks for AI/ML is another big plus that adds a lot of flexibility for analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Data Cloud?

The pricing is definitely on the higher side, which can be a hurdle for scaling. Some non-SAP connectors still feel limited, and the onboarding process takes time since the platform is not very beginner-friendly. Documentation and training support could also be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Project Management, Needs More Usability Improvements"
What do you like best about SAP Business Data Cloud?

I find SAP Business Data Cloud to be an excellent platform for managing projects, particularly because it allows me to organize numerous projects efficiently in one single platform. This capability makes project management much simpler by providing easy access to all relevant data with just a single click, greatly enhancing productivity. I also appreciate the user-friendly interface of SAP Business Data Cloud, which made the transition from previous ERP systems relatively smooth and enjoyable. The setup process was user-friendly, which facilitated an easy switch from my earlier system. Furthermore, the tools and decodes specific to project management, such as generating repair requisitions and handling purchase orders, are exceedingly beneficial. The ability to get all required data on a single screen with respective reports is notably useful and contributes to streamlined project management. Additionally, I find the software to be quite up-to-date with numerous options to manage single or multiple projects efficiently, ensuring a seamless user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
