Using SpedAdvantage through Salesforce has improved the way I do all of my special education paperwork. If you are a SPED teacher, you know how time consuming it can be. I could go on and on how this software has made it easier through better organization, reminders of upcoming due dates, accessible to a student’s team members, logging communication, the list goes on. At times, SpedAdvantage may have a glitch or will not save items but when we run into those problems there are support personnel that are fast in response and very helpful with working through the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Salesforce for Higher Ed is finally just that, Salesforce that has been tweeked to work with higher education institutes. We came over originally before Higher Ed was built out and while it was good, this just makes it better and so adapt at higher ed needs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you already had Salesforce set up in your org before Higher Ed was announced it can be hard to transition and keep all of your data intact. That said, it has a lot more benefits than minus at this point. It can be hard to administer and you will need a full time admin to make this work for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Salesforce offers solutions that allows my school to better connect to, engage and recruit students through 1:1 communication. We use this for thing such as the FAFSA and other communication needs. It creates a direct line of communication between the school and the student. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is pricey to begin with. There are many other options out there that less expansive and have more features. It also changes the role of students into customers/clients instead of people and makes them into numbers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Salesforce offers a product that helps break down the silo's within higher education. Using the Salesforce Advisor Portal combined with case management, allows visibility into what is happening with a particular student at any point in the recruitment or student life cycle. From prospect to alumni, we can see where the student has been and their experience thus far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing, I love Salesforce Education cloud for higher ed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its amazing. Its a one point of contact for everything. It lets me see perspective students and all their interactions, social media posts, and so on so that we recruit the right students from the start. Then it tracks and keeps up with all correspondence with the perspective student through the recruitment process, once they register, and throughout their time spent with us. It doesn't matter what media we use for communication it puts it all in one location. Also, because of cloud access when traveling or working from home all the information is accessible. I don't have to lug a laptop, my phone or iPad works great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far I haven't found anything that really doesn't meet our needs or that I find troublesome. It has been an overall great experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Organization of information allowing for easy accessibility and clean data management. Easy to train and software offers many customization features to better fit a company's needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Software being paired with other software programs can cause hiccups in efficiency. If using Salesforce at the same time as another software, there can be glitches between the two from time to time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The capabilities with each object in higher ed makes it easy for admissions and advancement to track the progression of student and alumni in one place. The ability to integrate with other software through the APP exchange is also a huge plus for any school that in not already running on one specific platform. Fantastic Customer Support as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Salesforce can be overwhelming for schools who are just learning about its capabilities and may be a budget concern for smaller schools looking to get a powerful all in one CRM tool. It may also be difficult to get entire institution to believe in the product, so starting in key departments may be helpful when initially implementing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
OOD allows connections across many different objects. Opportunities allow admission to track application through matriculation (and beyond for those who want to venture into current student enrollment) and more. Open source provides this platform with the ability to meet almost any requirement by Higher Education institutions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some updates that should already be available, but have been taking time due to upvotes on the PowerofUs Hub (i.e. e-mail report .xls to user). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can sign up to watch the free demo videos. You can sell, service, market and connect to grow your business every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that it is only free for the demo. It is quite pricey. It does help with costs- but is still more expensive than other software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really liked that software crm because it helped organize all students and faculty data into one centralized place vs before our CRM broke and didn't have the power like salesforce does. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like the fact that salesforce for higher ed takes a backend employee to run and having to contact that person frequently to fix fields can be time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Salesforce to monitor my sales and my new business partner. It's friendly use and sync to our contacts . I really like it because of unnecessary repetitive inputting of clients information . I save a lot of time doing my work. It has a lot of useful features like "Alert". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Data Entry. you have to go steps before you can do directly to where you want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It’s easy to navigate. An entry level professional could figure it out within a day Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was almost too basic. I would have liked to see an accounts section along with adding contacts inside accounts.
It was hard to keep track of each individual contact especially having over 200 clients Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love salesforce for higher ed because it allows me to track all student and customer data and sort by city Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price per license is very expensive and makes it tough for higher educators and schools to use this crm Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a very easy CRM to use, used it for a little under a year at my old company Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The customer service is quite poor, kept getting sent to the same page over and over again with no resolution to my issue Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Salesforce is a great tool to organize all of our students information. We are able to track students through their different stages and making it easier to connect with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a very steep learning curve with Salesforce for SIS and taking time to learn how to use it is the most time consuming part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We used this platform in college and were impressed with user-friendly and enormous features to which we can extend this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Looking up for data as application and attachments is slow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is a great tool. Our company has recently implemented sales force and it has been a great tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is a new product and still learning the functions, however the instructions and guides could be more clear. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Salesforce is the absolute best. I use this to manage all of the leads coming into our school, then adjust each leads status to show who we've contacted, what class their interested in, if they've toured the school, and if they've enrolled! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there was a way to automatically check for duplicate leads as they come in to Salesforce. We have to manually do this which is time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As long as admin is familiar with functionalities and capabilities, there could be built in work flow as well as live data rather than static data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It requires a more involved admin team as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the seamless communications tools within it. Along with the paperless application process that I utilize it for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don’t like that it doesn’t seamlessly communicate with other software I use, such as Banner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
An effective tool to track a prospect's journey with customizable fields, integration with apps for communication. Salesforce partnership with the higher education community and pricing model demonstrates a mission for education. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Robust system that requires significant support on admin and IT sides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using Salesforce for recruitment efforts has been a game changer. It is user-friendly and intuitive, increases efficiency and organization like crazy, and has opened up countless opportunities for us to refine our processes and offer applicants a better experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly nothing; there is no perfect system, but Salesforce comes closer than anything else I've worked with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Salesforce interface is always easy to use and navigate. The reporting and functionality is top notch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are no aspects of this product that I would characterize as disliking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
