What do you like best?

Using SpedAdvantage through Salesforce has improved the way I do all of my special education paperwork. If you are a SPED teacher, you know how time consuming it can be. I could go on and on how this software has made it easier through better organization, reminders of upcoming due dates, accessible to a student’s team members, logging communication, the list goes on. What do you dislike?

At times, SpedAdvantage may have a glitch or will not save items but when we run into those problems there are support personnel that are fast in response and very helpful with working through the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I feel that students information is in a central location. It is easy to give all team members access to a students information and allows them to make changes without adding more to my plate so to speak, and allows school districts to customize their forms to their specific needs and types of information to include which many districts are different in their paperwork structure. What do you like best?

Salesforce for Higher Ed is finally just that, Salesforce that has been tweeked to work with higher education institutes. We came over originally before Higher Ed was built out and while it was good, this just makes it better and so adapt at higher ed needs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

If you already had Salesforce set up in your org before Higher Ed was announced it can be hard to transition and keep all of your data intact. That said, it has a lot more benefits than minus at this point. It can be hard to administer and you will need a full time admin to make this work for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

There are really only two solutions out there now. Salesforce for Higher Ed or Slate. Slate may be easier initially but Salesforce is the industry leader in CRM technology and should be the main selling point. We are glad we switched and haven't looked back yet. What do you like best?

Salesforce offers solutions that allows my school to better connect to, engage and recruit students through 1:1 communication. We use this for thing such as the FAFSA and other communication needs. What do you like best?

I like that Salesforce offers a product that helps break down the silo's within higher education. Using the Salesforce Advisor Portal combined with case management, allows visibility into what is happening with a particular student at any point in the recruitment or student life cycle. What do you like best?

Its amazing. Its a one point of contact for everything. It lets me see perspective students and all their interactions, social media posts, and so on so that we recruit the right students from the start. Then it tracks and keeps up with all correspondence with the perspective student through the recruitment process, once they register, and throughout their time spent with us. It doesn't matter what media we use for communication it puts it all in one location. Also, because of cloud access when traveling or working from home all the information is accessible. What do you like best?

The capabilities with each object in higher ed makes it easy for admissions and advancement to track the progression of student and alumni in one place. The ability to integrate with other software through the APP exchange is also a huge plus for any school that in not already running on one specific platform. Fantastic Customer Support as well. What do you dislike?

Salesforce can be overwhelming for schools who are just learning about its capabilities and may be a budget concern for smaller schools looking to get a powerful all in one CRM tool. What do you like best?

OOD allows connections across many different objects. Opportunities allow admission to track application through matriculation (and beyond for those who want to venture into current student enrollment) and more. Open source provides this platform with the ability to meet almost any requirement by Higher Education institutions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some updates that should already be available, but have been taking time due to upvotes on the PowerofUs Hub (i.e. e-mail report .xls to user). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

What do you like best?

Salesforce is the absolute best. I use this to manage all of the leads coming into our school, then adjust each leads status to show who we've contacted, what class their interested in, if they've toured the school, and if they've enrolled! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
