I originally missed the Chrome plugin, but after continued use I don’t really need it anymore. The travel reimbursement flow is incredibly easy, and I recently used the travel extension to book a flight, which was seamless and intuitive. The “One-Stop Shop” Reality: I no longer have to log into one site for my paystubs and another (like Expensify or Concur) for my expenses. Having my salary and reimbursements in the same dashboard makes personal budgeting much easier.

The Mobile App Is Actually Good: I can snap a photo of a coffee receipt on the way out of the cafe, and the AI usually reads the merchant and amount almost instantly. It’s one of the few work apps I genuinely don’t mind keeping on my personal phone.

Direct Deposit Flexibility: I really like that I can split my paycheck into different bank accounts (for example, 20% to savings and 80% to checking) directly in the app, without having to email someone in HR.

Overall, my experience has been very positive and I have not encountered any major issues with Rippling Spend itself. However, last year there was a delay with the delivery of tax slips, which caused some inconvenience. I am not sure if this was directly related to Rippling Spend or to the Rippling platform more generally, but timely access to important documents is essential, so improving reliability in this area would be helpful. I like how Rippling Spend makes submitting my expenses a lot faster, quicker, and easier. It's integrated in the same platform that I use for everything else in my job, which is super convenient. Yeah. I guess the one thing in my food expenses, it automatically defaulted, let's say, Starbucks receipt to a business meeting. Well, the problem with a business meeting is that it then requires an extra field entry of who else was in this business meeting, and it wasn't a business meeting. I was on the road, and I needed a coffee, so I expensed it. So I think I would suggest it default to just, you know, meals on the road rather than business expense. We were able to explore new feature such as the performance review, 9box, LMS and others. It was great to see how Rippling presents those features. Some of them were not exactly what we expected so we decided to switch, but it was still interesting to still learn more about the platform. The performance review module is one of my favorite. Easy to set up, adjustable and customizable. Every time we needed assistance from the Rippling team, they were there for us as well, it was easy to communicate with them. The 9box-calibration module would be something, it is very different from what we are used to seeing in the marketing, seemed a bit confusing. Something that is very important is that in the performance review, the master admins can see the everything *of course*, however, it means they can see how people evaluated them. There should be something that could be done about that. I understand they are master admins, and by being one, I believe we shouldnt be able to see that specific information. Rippling is comprehensive in its product offering and I believe it is the best HRIS on the market. That being said, the best thing about Rippling is the support team. I can't say enough about how great the support and implementation team is. They definitely go the extra mile when it comes to assisting with launching the product in order to tailor the features to your organization. They are responsive, patient, and incredibly resourceful. I like that Rippling is connected to nearly all of my company's tools! It syncs to our training system, project management tool, and our financial apps with ease. My current process has been to manually apply employee deductions and 401k amounts. I'm so excited to use Rippling to make that process easier and quicker. The self-implementation was a key factor to our success with Rippling. We were able to do it at our own pace while still getting support from the Rippling team. The downsides I've found are when you're in the implementation phase, you cannot use the chat feature for help. You must connect via email with your implementation manager. Which is great for most options, but for smaller issues I wish I could've used a chat function. An item I've seen in the contract but haven't encountered yet is that whatever headcount for employees you sign up for for that contract term, that's the lowest number you can have for the term. So, if you sign a contract for 25 employees, and you lose 5 employees, you would still be paying for 25 employees until the term is up. I wish there was a prorating system in place of this.
