## About QuantumATK
QuantumATK is fully supported and delivered in an easy-to-use interface, tailored from state-of-the-art methods, and developed by experts to the specifications of our customers. Atomic-scale modeling tools in QuantumATK range from Density Functional Theory (DFT) simulations with either LCAO and plane-wave basis sets to semi-empirical models and classical force fields: conventional and machine-learned. All simulation engines share a common infrastructure for analysis, molecular dynamics and parallel performance techniques. QuantumATK provides effective tools for all levels, realistic physics of complex materials, and synergistic solutions for multiple simulation methods and integration with TCAD.

## QuantumATK Reviews
  ### 1. Atomic level Simulation with TCAD workbench support.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about QuantumATK?**

QuantumATK provides us with the easiest way to do theoretical work. From the past few years we were doing only experimental research and now by using QuantumATK, we are saving time as well as money. In the latest version they have added the Sentaurus Materials Workbench which is a boon for us, now we are also able to simulate the layer properties of devices which we will build in Sentaurus TCAD in QuantumAtk itself, and then export the build and properties there. This has made our calculations much more accurate and reliable. Sometimes when we are working only on materials, we use the VASP link so that we can build the structure and export it to VASP for simulation.

**What do you dislike about QuantumATK?**

Although this tool is best in most ways, it has problems when running remote simulations, there should be more elaborate and easy to understand tutorials or guides for this.

**What problems is QuantumATK solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have now completely shifted to theoretical research due to QuantumATK. We are simulating various materials and device properties related to the research work.

  ### 2. Best Atomic scale modeling and DFT Simulation software QuantumATK

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about QuantumATK?**

The best part of this software is we can make nanodevices, we can use NEGF(Non-equilibrium green's functions) for transport analysis.
Its graphical user interface i.e virtual nano lab is very sophisticated having so many features and advanced tools.
We also have the option for integration with TCAD.
we can easily make and run the calculation. we can also do molecular dynamics and parallel processing. There are so many features in this I can't explain here I would suggest you use and verify.

**What do you dislike about QuantumATK?**

We can not perform chemical reactions easily and reaction pathway analysis.
Phonon calculation are very costly, memory-intensive, and time-consuming.
Licensing scheme is complicated you can't purchase a single license and pricing is comparatively high as compared to other software

**Recommendations to others considering QuantumATK:**

If you are in the field of materials and nanomaterials device simulation, I would suggest you use Synopsys QuantumATK and get the desired results that you want.

**What problems is QuantumATK solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solve problems related to QuantumATK atomic structures, help customers in setting up the calculators for the simulation, how to configure a machine to run the jobs on both local and remote machines. We are also using QuantumATK for Atomic research, polymers, ceramics, carbon nanotube, materials and device simulation, help customers in their requirements related to the above-mentioned research, we also supply workstations compatible with the software.

  ### 3. Best solution for nanodevices simulation for me

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about QuantumATK?**

QuantumATK is user friendly, and the types of various calculation we can do is great. I also like that before firing a job, we can setup the machine properties to define how many core/threads that particular simulation should use. By closing the GUI at one machine simulation doesn't get killed, but it keeps running in the background, and at the same time I can open GUI on different machine on the network to start building my script.

**What do you dislike about QuantumATK?**

Not much to dislike here, but sometimes it requires too much memory or cores to complete a job and not everyone has access to a big cluster computer, but this also depends on the calculation and number of atoms, so they go hand in hand.

**Recommendations to others considering QuantumATK:**

If you are into device segmentation, ATK is the best option, for only materials simulation there are cheaper options available out there.

**What problems is QuantumATK solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QuantumATK is being used here to cut down costs on experimental research dramatically; we keep running simulations until the desired result is met. Fabrication of material or device after that give us a perfect result and time/money is saved.

  ### 4. Nanomaterial simulation at it's best.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about QuantumATK?**

The software is easy to use as I don't know any programming language. The G-U-I helps a lot to users like me. The visualization of results after simulation gives an excellent idea about the actual property, rather than just showing numbers.

**What do you dislike about QuantumATK?**

The cost for this software is on the higher side. For materials simulation, there are cheaper software available; the only thing is that the results are reliable here.

**What problems is QuantumATK solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do nanomaterials simulation using the LCAO calculator mostly to find phonon banstructure, raman spectrum and other optical properties of the new materials being researched.
