"Great Experience with Prismic"
What do you like best about Prismic?

I love how easy Prismic is to integrate. I love how it does all the heavy lifting. We've been using Prismic for 3 years now and we don't have any complaints. I also love the pricing. I've never had to connect with the customer support yet. Their documentation is good so it suffices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

Nothing I dislike honestly about Prismic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"the worst product I've had to work with"
What do you like best about Prismic?

- can run with multiple seats. it's easily their best feature & I use it to delegate Prismic work to others because every time i have to do it myself it brings me to tears.

- it does what it advertises. it's a CMS. a rigid one.

- i have a point of contact, which is nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prismic?

Unfortunately I have to use it on a weekly basis and I always end up spending way more time than I would like to:

- completely unscalable: their search algorithm is messy, which makes it very hard to find a specific documents when you have 1000+ pages. I usually try 4-5 docs before finding the right one.

- AI translation feature: (this one is in beta, so I could give it a pass) However, using caused so many new problems 1) it costs 3-4 usd that you need to pay upfront, once. If you want to reload, the price jumps to 5usd/doc without real justification about this price increase. Their AI feature looks like a basic GPT wrapper which costs them cents to run. 2) it's impossible to select multiple pages to translate at once, so you have to translate them 1 by 1. Now what happens when you need to translate your 100+ pages website to 6+ languages? :) We had to hire a 2 juniors who spent 4 weeks in total just clicking on the "Translate with AI" button.

It was a mess to manage, costly, and extremely cumbersome.

- so so so rigid. Basic text formatting cannot be done, unless it's been specifically coded by the dev team. Zero ability for non-dev team to inject custom code so as a marketing team you always depend on your dev team. Zero autonomy -> crazy to be still the case in 2025.

would not recommend at all and will be the last time I ever use Prismic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Lidija Kacar of Prismic

Hi Jim,

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review. I’m sorry to hear your experience with Prismic hasn’t been great. You mentioned that it feels rigid, and our goal is to give marketing teams the flexibility to move quickly while keeping websites consistent and on brand. Custom-built slices with specific guardrails are part of that foundation, as we’ve seen it helps teams stay aligned at scale, but we also see opportunities to make marketers more independent. Our marketing tools team is actively looking at how we can bring more of that to life, and your feedback is important as we shape those improvements.

On search, we’ve recently added support for title, name, and UID/slug, and we’re exploring ways to expand it further, including indexing content. We’d love to hear more about your workflow and what you feel is missing. On translation, we know AI-assisted workflows are essential, and bulk translation is a top priority for us next year. Highlighting this gap helps us align better with real-world use cases.

Thanks again for your honesty. Feedback like this helps us make Prismic better for you and the rest of our users.
