"PostgreSQL review"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL is one of the best relational databases. It supports multiple data types and has good query and data management support. The documentation is maintained and is the best place to learn everything about the database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL supports JSON datatype but the supporting methods are difficult to understand and work with. The documentation is present but there aren't enough examples that would help developers understand and use the methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful open source relational database"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

It is an open-source relational database that supports a heavy range of workloads. it follows the ACID properties and SQL queries. PostgreSQL has views, tables, store procedures etc. The database can connect with multiple interfaces and supports python, java, C++, PHP and perl. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has a slow Comparatively low reading speed. Its documentation is only available in English. In some circumstances, the lack of columnar stores renders PostgreSQL less capable in analytics tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast and Open Source RDBMS"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

Compared to MySQL, PostgreSQL is quicker and provides ACID characteristics. Storage procs can be created in PL/pgSQL, PL/Python, PL/Perl, and C/C++, and it has broader community support. It is a highly expandable database that handles large datasets, challenging queries, and read-write operations more quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

Only limited documentation is available in English. Additionally, the reading speed is really slow. PostgreSQL is one of the best open-source databases available besides this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

PostgresSQL sql is not very famous and it is not used by many companies. But it deserves to be part of every company. PostgresSQL can more work on its UI. So that it would be competitive in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"For me this is the best and most robust RDBMS in the market"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

This is the most versatile and advanced DB system in the market available for free of cost. This DB system is similar to MySQL or Oracle DB system but it is more popular and has a bigger community than those. It has a convenient command-line interface for both Linux and Windows OS. It has intuitive commands that do what they sound like e.g., create table, create database, etc. For those who are not good with command-line interfaces, it also has GUI based management tool called pgAdmin for easier use. It has easy integration with Python and Golang and its frameworks like Django for Python. You can easily export table data in CSV. The best thing is, it has a detailed documentation website where you can explore all of its functionalities easily and release-wise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

Honestly, I don't think this RDBMS has any significant flaw or issue. One thing is, there are fewer drivers available for this database for integration in frameworks e.g. Python Django framework literally has one driver called psycopg2 which can create license issues. Another thing is, it has a huge number of commands that can be difficult for some people to grasp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Postgresql is a flexible relational database solution for transactional/statistical data and can also be used as a NoSQL solution. Postgresql has the best capabilities for handling spatial data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Known for Performance, Easy management & Schema Control"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

I liked this database because of easily schema control and very robust to setting the process, it is also less risky and hard to break out the security layers. Features like multi-inversion concurrency control help in fluid changes to be made to the system. data management is also very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

As such no disadvantages at all but we need to take care of so many things at the time of implementation. It could be improved by using parallization and need distributed computing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly reliable and scalable RDBMS available to use."
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

Easy to install and integrate with the application. It uses standard SQL and also supports object-oriented SQL programming and we can also perform JSON-based data transactions with this dbms. Client-Server network architecture support is the best thing is with Postgresql and of-course it is open source DBMS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

Some speed issues with PostgreSQL when we perform data transactions on very large numbers. Backup features should be improved and PostgreSQL should provide some own GUI for DB operation, normally we use pgAdmin for the same purpose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
