"Enterprise Open Source Relational Database Management System"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

PostgresSQL shines as an enterprise RDBMS. It has all the enterprise features of a modern database management system, yet it is free and open source. It can handle a data intensive system very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

It is really difficult to talk about any dislike about PostgreSQL, however it has a bit of a learning curve. Also, installation and configuration on a linux platform is a bit complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the best and free DBMS in the market!"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

Postgresql is a platform that shares unlimited sources accessible to every user. Its user-friendly features make it easy for beginners to understand its functionalities.

Whether maintaining or exploring new databases or setting up your database from scratch, Postgresql is one of the best tool user can rely upon! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

While merging or blending data from different sources a few times, PostgreSQL lags or fails the first time, which can be a con for the platform, other than all other features work smoothly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Most reliable database"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

Reliable: Even when there is no space in disk or with some hardware errors it can recover. Fast --it requires optimizing but it gives the tools to optimize. Open Source. Periodicaly updated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

For me that it uses Sql is a plus. But I guess for people who doesn't know Sql it may be hard, but it iw worth to learn it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The most powerful, feature-rich open-source relational database management system"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

The main plus point about PostgreSQL is that it's an open-source R-DBMS that is very reliable, making it a first choice for startups and other organizations. Also, it has gained a high reputation for its high performance while handling high volumes of datasets very efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

One thing I feel that's a downside in PostgreSQL is that its GUI functionality is very limited and not that user-friendly, making it challenging for first-timers to use its complete functionalities, especially when they are not used to the command-line interface. "PostgreSQL: a good alternative to Oracle RDBMS"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

High compatibility with Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL. With very few changes, you are able to migrate an Oracle Database to PostgreSQL. There are also a good choice for what concern high availability and load balancing solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL is able to manage JSON data with native datatype and APIs. But if you need to query datasets over 10 Gbytes of raw data, consider transforming JSON documents to normalized tables because queries may have time-out issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great database with mature capabilities"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

It has a rich and mature feature set where things like referential integrity weren't an afterthought (compared to MySQL). Documentation is also excellent, and modern ANSI SQL syntax is well supported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

It's not as widespread as MySQL is, so it can be harder to find people that are strong DBA skills or know the specifics of its internal workings, but it isn't that bad either. It's not like it's some unknown DBMS either, it's simply not as widespread as MySQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Relational DBMS in market"
What do you like best about PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL provides an open-source environment to all users. It's easy to use and easy to understand it's functionality. Creating your own data set for testing or exploring new data set both work in the best way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL is good for beginners but its integration parts didn't work properly. Such as JSON data or others. PostgreSQL needs to work on the integration part of this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
