Picturepark is a cloud-based software solution companies use to automate the organizing, distributing, and integrating of their digital assets. This includes images, videos, documents, product records, taxonomies, metadata, and more. Picturepark is based in Switzerland and part of the FotoWare Group from Oslo, Norway. Picturepark enables companies to organize, exchange and integrate into other systems all their digital assets in an efficient and controlled way. Whether images, videos, documents, product records, taxonomies, or metadata: thanks to innovative technologies such as Adaptive Metadata and Business Rules, content of any kind can be automatically structured, classified, and semantically linked. This creates the necessary foundation for omnichannel distribution and integration of all content. Enabled via the API, SDKs, and existing connectors into third-party systems such as commercial applications, CMS, and other systems. Designed API-first and based on state-of-the-art technologies, Picturepark combines the primary benefits of digital asset management (DAM), product information management (PIM), and Headless Content Services into a versatile platform that can be extended wherever required.

**What do you like best about Picturepark?**

I like that it is very idiot proof. You cant tag anything unless you set it up as a tag, so it limits the Taxonomy. This is helpful because you don't have people searching for a truck, when you tagged Pickup truck. They work with you to get the system you need, and then work with you as you dive in to drill down when you start dumping things in and realize what you have forgotten. 

**What do you dislike about Picturepark?**

I've been having some errors with upload limits and some file types. I also don't like that "Fuzzy search" is not available unless you add a * to the end of the search. This works for tech people but I cant communicate that to the end user easily. I do with it was a little bit more customizable in the back end. They offer it, but at a cost. 

**Recommendations to others considering Picturepark:**

They seem like they are moving in the right direction. They have a good product and are rapidly expanding. Just know if you need to get technical, you will have a 24 hour delay because they are based out of Sweden. 

**What problems is Picturepark solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to get a secondary backup of all of our assets, and we are creating high visibility of our digital assets which is promoting better collaboration.
