The first impression vs. long-term reliability gap is real with some of these tools. PRTG is easy to set up and feels great early on, but at a few thousand sensors the UI can get sluggish. Zabbix is the opposite, rough at first, but teams that stick with it tend to keep it for a long time. The ones I&#39;ve seen get replaced are usually tools that were picked for demo appeal rather than operational fit.
