I use Pendo to check customer satisfaction scores and draw insights from them, which I find quite useful. A lot of features are not available in mobile. In addition, some of the tagging is not very clear (what is widget identifier for example), and I find that even people working in Pendo can't explain why something worked or didn't work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We’ve had a good experience with Pendo, even though we don’t use all of its features. We primarily use Guides to display in-app notifications about new features, planned maintenance, or temporary issues, and they’ve been very effective for communicating with users.

The Analytics section is also useful, especially because it allows filtering by multiple parameters and provides insights into user activity, including which areas of the site users interact with. Session Replay is the most valuable feature in my opinion, as it makes troubleshooting and understanding user behavior much easier. I use Pendo for in-app guides, personalized resource hubs, onboarding guides, and release tooltips. I really like the segmenting and guide goals because they help in delivering the right communications to the right users and tracking the success of those guides. GUIDE METRICS!!! We need better guide metrics, especially with guide goals on embedded guides. AND dashboards need the ability to compare guides and highlight guides that need work/need to be looked at. I know you launched an AI version of tagging, but it still requires manual work, unless the code is contracted in a very specific way. So, tagging is a pain. Plus, there is effort in making user data available for analytics in Pendo. The platform is very mature - it offers lots of features, but this creates a big knowledge gap for someone who's trying to get started or take over an existing site. The webinars are not useful, and the help articles are lacking. So, there's effort required to get up to speed or do something in the platform and do it right. Pendo opens up a world of data that was usually behind the wall of dev/eng. With the power Pendo provides on insights within your product(s) you can use that to leverage meaningful ways to engage your customers and find direct insight from them. I like how easy it is to see feature usage and user behavior in one place with Pendo. The in-app guides and feedback tools are especially helpful for improving adoption without extra effort.
