I reckon the thing that comes closest to being a downside would be that there are still some people that are holding out on admitting how useful and so much better utilization of PayPal invoicing and other PayPal offerings can truly be. I've been using PayPal for over a decade. I've always found the invoicing to be easy and straightforward. Over the years, they have added functionality to keep up with technology. What do you dislike about PayPal Invoicing? A client recently pointed out that unlike before, PayPal now requires clients to have a PayPal account. Previously, you could pay with any debit or credit card without needing an account. This has decreased my use of the service as an option for those who have and like using their PayPal account. I really like that clients don’t even need a PayPal account they can pay using their debit or credit card, which makes transactions faster and smoother. What I dislike about PayPal Invoicing is mainly related to the fees and limitations when it comes to international transactions. The service is very convenient, but the transaction charges, especially for cross-border payments, can add up quite a bit compared to other options. On top of that, the currency conversion rates are not always favorable, which means you end up losing a little extra on each payment. Withdrawals to a bank account can also take a few days depending on the country, which sometimes delays cash flow. Another small issue is that the customization of invoices feels a bit limited you can add your logo and details, but beyond that, there isn’t much flexibility to make the invoice design truly match your brand identity.
