# Which email tracking platforms offer the best Gmail browser extension?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">Hi G2 community, which email tracking platforms offer the best Gmail browser extension, the kind you install from the Chrome Web Store and actually keep? Most advice on this lives in anonymous forum threads, so I want the review-backed version. From the<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/email-tracking"> </a><a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/email-tracking">email tracking</a> category, four platforms whose Chrome extension is central to how they work, with G2's current numbers:</p><ul>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/mixmax/reviews"><strong>Mixmax</strong></a> (4.6, 1,460+ reviews): lives almost entirely inside Gmail through its extension, adding tracking, scheduling, and templates to the compose window; real-time notifications rate 92% on G2's feature data.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/saleshandy/reviews"><strong>Saleshandy</strong></a> (4.6, 805+): a cold-email platform whose free Gmail extension handles the tracking basics, a common first step before teams grow into sequences.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/vendasta-yesware/reviews"><strong>Vendasta Yesware</strong></a> (4.4, 820+) (formerly Yesware): one of the original Gmail tracking extensions, built for salespeople who want opens, clicks, and templates without leaving the inbox; real-time notifications rate 88%.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/hubspot-sales-hub/reviews"><strong>HubSpot Sales Hub</strong></a> (4.4, 13,915+): the extension is free and connects Gmail to the wider HubSpot CRM, so tracking data lands on the contact record; worth knowing it is a doorway into a much larger suite.</li>
</ul><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">The question reviews rarely answer: which Gmail extension did you actually uninstall, and what pushed you over the edge, the notification noise, the compose-window clutter, or Gmail updates breaking it?</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true"></p>

&lt;p&gt;I&#39;ve uninstalled more Gmail extensions than I can count and it&#39;s almost never the tracking accuracy that gets me, it&#39;s Gmail pushing an update and the extension breaking for a week with zero warning. Mixmax has been the most stable one for me so far but I keep a backup plan mentally just in case.&lt;/p&gt;
