We're building something that sits at the intersection of data, AI and market intelligence so the engineering requirements are not trivial. Computools brought engineers who understood that complexity and didn't need extensive hand holding to get productive. For a founder that's exactly what you want from an external team people who figure things out rather than waiting to be told what to do. The communication was also solid. As someone who has worked with a lot of vendors over the years I can tell quickly when a team is being straight with you versus telling you what you want to hear. Computools were direct which I appreciated. **What do you dislike about Computools?** Early on there were moments where documentation could have been more thorough during sprint handovers. Context didn't always transfer as cleanly as it should between phases which caused a couple of unnecessary back and forth exchanges. It improved as the engagement went on but tightening that up from the start would have saved some time. **What problems is Computools solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our core challenge was scaling the technical side of Alium's buyer intelligence platform without losing stability or speed. We needed engineers who could work within a complex data architecture and deliver consistently. Never felt like I was being talked over or left out of decisions. **What do you dislike about Computools?** The time zone difference required some adjustment early on. We're based in Copenhagen and getting communication flowing smoothly took a couple of weeks. Once we sorted a proper overlap window it stopped being an issue but it's worth factoring in from day one. **What problems is Computools solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a reliable platform that could handle customer onboarding, subscription management and payments cleanly. Building that from scratch as a small team would have taken too long and cost too much.
