What do you like best about Paubox?

As the founder, owner, and operator of a mental health counseling private practice, ensuring HIPAA compliance in all communications with clients and other professionals is absolutely vital. What I value most about Paubox is its automatic email encryption, which works seamlessly with Google Workspace. What do you like best about Paubox?

I have had to manage the dreaded username/password frustration every time a client checks their email and can't remember or figure out how to read the email I sent through other encrypted services. Before Paubox, it tripled my workload as I'm spending my time as a stand in IT person teaching people how to read the email I just sent. "Peace of Mind for My Private Practice"

What do you like best about Paubox?

Updated review (November 2025) I’m still so happy with my decision to use Paubox—two years later, it continues to be one of the most reliable and worthwhile services I have for my psychotherapy practice. The peace of mind it provides is invaluable. I feel completely confident that my communication with clients is secure, and the ease of use means I never have to think about it. It just works in the background and keeps PHI protected without adding extra steps for me or my clients.

Paubox has also added some amazing new features to support marketing campaigns, which has been an unexpected but incredibly useful bonus. And as always, the customer service remains top-notch—responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive.

I continue to be 100% happy and excited to recommend Paubox to my colleagues.

What do you like best about Paubox?

I like the additional security Paubox provides when it comes to sending emails with PHI. It provides another layer of safety. I really appreciated the attentive customer support during the 14 day trial from Lisa and Shane. It was a pleasant surprise! I haven't used Paubox long enough to say there is something I dislike. What do you like best about Paubox?

I absolutely LOVE how easy this is to use! I was feeling really overwhelmed while searching for a HIPAA-compliant email solution that offered encryption, so I’m incredibly grateful I found this. There’s no need for me or my recipients to log in anywhere, which is a huge advantage. Honestly, I don’t even fully understand how encryption works, but from the very beginning, I received support to ensure my account was set up correctly. I was able to connect it to my email and domain without any problems, and they helped me take care of things I didn’t even realize I needed. What problems is Paubox solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a mental health practitioner, privacy and security mean everything to my patients and me. HIPAA compliance is a term we hear constantly in this industry, but it's often hard to know what it means without dissecting pages of dense documents. Although I try to minimize what I share and how with clients, it is all too easy to send an email and then suddenly realize it contained personal health information (PHI) and actually constitutes a HIPAA breach. Paubox helps mitigate these worries, and after multiple years as a customer, I feel I can trust that my email is safe and secure without a lot of additional steps. Let's face it - we're all busy. We have just a few moments to send a quick email or response before the next client. With Paubox, I don't have to remember to take any additional steps to ensure it is protecting every email I send. And although the initial setup threw me for a tiny loop, the support staff at Paubox was amazing and helpful, and very communicative when I needed a little support to ensure all was smooth. I appreciated the speed with which concerns were addressed and the professionalism of those helping me. I am excited for the future with Paubox, too, as exciting developments have expanded my ability to text securely with clients using the same company that I already entrust to protect my communication. "Seamless Google Workspace Integration, Quick Support for Setup Issues"

What do you like best about Paubox?

It integrates with my Google Workspace seamlessly and does not require additional apps for myself or clients to log into. What do you dislike about Paubox?

It was a little more complicated than I thought it would be to set up, and I am fairly savvy with computers. However, they set me up with a dedicated onboarding specialist who reviewed my account and the errors it was throwing, she provided very detailed instrutions specific to my domain owner, and it was solved in less than 1 minute. What problems is Paubox solving and how is that benefiting you?

I originally purchased a Google Domain (which was bought by Squarespace). I maintain my Google Workspace email, which is not technically HIPAA compliant, so I needed a solution. So many that are available to therapists require yet another login. As a EHR-based clinician, my clients and I have enough systems to log into as it is. This ensure it's seamless on both sides. What problems is Paubox solving and how is that benefiting you?

Paubox monitors my inbound emails and filters it better than Microsoft. It does such a better job that we turned off the automatic Microsoft 365 filter and just use Paubox, period. On outbound security, it encrypts every email, so I do not have to worry if my users "remembered" to put a magic word in the email so it would get encrypted, they are just ALL encrypted, that is the best security and compliance. Also, my clients love it, because my email conversations with a client are encrypted and they do not have to go log into some web system to get the email message, the encrypted message is delivered right into their inbox and with confidence from the Paubox footer tagging.
