Personally, I much prefer being able to email someone directly rather than having to go through a portal system. Every now and then, an email that isn’t spam or a phishing attempt gets routed to the inbound quarantine, and I have to go in and release it from there. I appreciated that the Paubox team offered to schedule an onboarding appointment, and it was a thoughtful offer. However, as a solo nurse practitioner building and managing my practice without an internal IT team, I’m also juggling credentialing, compliance, technology, and other startup responsibilities. Scheduling an additional appointment isn’t always easy. More comprehensive, Google Workspace-specific troubleshooting instructions—along with examples of common errors and self-service diagnostic tools—would make onboarding more efficient for independent providers who need to complete setup on their own. With other platforms, there is an external link needed to send hippa compliant messages and clients usually do not bother to go through the motions to read. Paubox encrypts emails right from my google workspace creating a seamless flow. I have never had performance issues. The pricing is reasonable (though in earnest I wish it was a little less/hope it doesn't go up as it is on the high end. With that, the product is worth it. Before using Paubox, I worried about the friction that comes with traditional encrypted email — portals, passwords, and multi‑step processes that often confuse or frustrate recipients. Paubox eliminates all of that by encrypting messages automatically while still allowing them to arrive like normal emails. This has made communication with clients and other professionals much smoother and more accessible. It also solves the problem of constantly wondering whether my emails are secure enough. In today’s environment, data protection is a real concern, and Paubox gives me peace of mind knowing that every message is encrypted without me having to think about it. Additionally, Paubox helped me navigate the complexity of my Microsoft Exchange setup. Their support team guided me through the configuration quickly, which removed a major barrier and allowed me to get up and running without stress. The most helpful thing about Paubox is that it makes secure email feel like regular email. I can keep using Google Workspace without having to remember an extra encryption step, and clients generally don’t have to deal with separate accounts, passwords, or complicated portals. The biggest upside is how simple it is. It reduces friction for both the practice and the recipient, saves time, and gives me more confidence that sensitive information is being sent securely. What do you dislike about Paubox? The email functionality works well, but I have been less satisfied with the forms. The forms are useful in principle, but they are not as versatile as I would like. The interface can also feel counterintuitive, difficult to work in, and somewhat rudimentary. It does not always anticipate what the user is trying to accomplish, so tasks that should be straightforward can require more effort than expected. I also found the initial setup more difficult and time-consuming than the product’s messaging led me to expect.
