## About Opendock
Opendock is a digital dock scheduling solution for warehouses and facilities that delivers full visibility into a warehouse’s daily/weekly/monthly schedule, including which carrier is coming in, when they are coming in, and the load type they have. Warehouses are able to digitally publish their schedules online so carriers can book their own appointments. Users are also able to track in/out times for each truck/appointment, and this data is automatically calculated and logged into a carrier scorecard. From the appointment setting features, Opendock can also calculate the percentages for on-time, late, cancel, no-show, and reschedule in addition to average cancel lead time metrics. Opendock is SOC2 Type II compliant.

**What do you like best about Opendock?**

I like the simplicity of Opendock, which makes it easier for me to manage tasks. I find tracking drivers through the platform convenient and effective for my needs. Additionally, the initial setup of Opendock was straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

Opendock freezes a lot throughout the day and I get booted from it at least once per day. It will randomly freeze and no one can access it.

**What problems is Opendock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Opendock for easily locating drivers at the warehouse and getting them into doors to be loaded. It's simple and helps with tracking drivers.

**What do you like best about Opendock?**

Opendock is a great way to consolidate our inbound shipments and keeps our docks flowing. Before opendock, inbound would randomly arrive and it caused confusion and delay.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

Not every carrier is open to using OpenDock. I wish it was more universally accepted and that a login needn't be created to schedule.

**What problems is Opendock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The confusion surrounding inbound deliveries has been significantly reduced across the entire company.

**What do you like best about Opendock?**

Every morning, the first 2 things I open are my e-mail and opendock. It is such a big part of how we operate and what we use every day. We love being able to schedule and track our carriers daily for on time, lates, damages and being able to add our own unique tags. We also love have the metrics available to look back and see what carriers are doing well, who needs to do better and who we should think about letting go. We have had relatively few complaints about using opendock, and once getting past the extremely small learning curve, the ease of use for both us and the carriers has ben obvious. 

It was extremely easy to set up, I actually had 90% of it set up before my phone call with the set up team and it was only the finer points that I had not yet realized were available. We have only had to contact customer support once and quickly realized it was our own mistake that caused us a minor problem, but they were quick and easy to get in touch with.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

There isn't much I would change at this point. Possibly the abilty to hide canceled appointments without completely deleting them, but not having them still visible with the active schedule is about my only input.

**What problems is Opendock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, we ran FCFS, but now being able to schedule out our day we are more productive both in loading/unloading trucks and our responsibilities in the warehouse and production floor. Not having 10 trucks lined up for 6 hours as we try to take the next one in line as they arrived has greatly improved stress and overall planning for myself and my team.

**What do you like best about Opendock?**

The number of features is wonderful. Moving/rescheduling appointments is so easy and we love that when there is a  NO SHOW it will send an email to the carrier right away. This feature is super helpful.We don't have to personally send emails or make phone calls. Opendock really has helped us a lot.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

Nothing to dislike for us. We all love how simple Opendock is to use.

**What problems is Opendock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to allow carriers to schedule their own appointments has helped us tremendously. Before we were having to make phones calls send emails to get loads scheduled. This has given us the ability to focus on other things other than scheduling.

**What do you like best about Opendock?**

Opendock is very user friendly.  The grid view is easy on the eyes. It is easy for vendors and shippers to add their appointments. It is also easy for them to edit their delivery appointments or add notes.  We had no problem getting vendors and shippers to jump on board with us.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

some users were frustrated when their slot was filled but they were coming anyway and had no choice, like coming across multiple states.. what to do  ? 
we told them just to email us but pick the closest availalbe slot anyway

not knowing what day and what time vendors are coming to bring product

**What do you like best about Opendock?**

The ease of using it. It is really easy to locate the appointments that i need to find.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

With the recent update you can no longer get all your appointments one one screen. You only get 30 now and have to go to next page.  Also that you cannot click on the appointment and pull it up. you have to go to the eye to pull the appointment up.

**What problems is Opendock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All our customers make appointments on opendock and that makes my job alot easier. It used to be a problem setting appointment and having non-appointed trucks, with opendock the carriers make their own appointments so there is no longer problems making aoointments.

**What do you like best about Opendock?**

Easy to use platform as a spectator role. Upgrade has made it easier to view appointments and visualize scheduling by docks and locations, especially in grid view.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

Overall as a spectator there are not a lot of things I dislike, it's overall easy to use and navigate. I think the option to search for POs in grid view would be nice instead of just list view as I am usually in grid view
A waitlist of sorts for carriers would be nice as I get a lot of emails when appointments are backed up or there are not options for their specific day

Supports appointment scheduling with our third party warehouse

I love how organized and color coordinated the calendar is, makes it easy to read and follow. I also love how flexible the features are and how we can make edits to existing appointments.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

I wish there was a cross-dock functionality where businesses with mulitple warehouses can change warehouses as an option when carriers setup appointments at the wrong facility.

Having drivers show up whenever they had pleased - this caused a lot of downtime and inventory issues.

visibility of scheduleing and the analytics off the back end to make use of the data created. We went from operating blindly to having full visability of our docks nation wide. In addition we use the data from the system to help build carrier score carding for future business discutions.

There are not many downsides, it solved our scheduling needs

**What do you like best about Opendock?**

LOVE the ease of use, Great ways to individualize and personalize. Love the new colors. Easier to see. Their are different views you can choose from and the reports are just a click away. No filtering to get what you want.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

My only wish is that you could make the carrier a favorite from the appointment page information. The carrier contact page is very extensive which is great but its hard to find who you need sometimes at a glance if you are in a hurry

It helps us to not be overwhelmed with everyone showing up at once and lets us prepare the loads ahead of time to lessen loading times. We have been able to shorten the turn times i  the docks from 1 1/2 hrs to less than an hour

The TV mode is the only thing I like about the new version upgrade.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

The legacy version of opendock was a better fit for my needs. The legacy opendock i had 24hr phone support. I tried using the added little help tab, and I couldn't resolve my question. Finally, I got a phone number to call after trying several times. Someone answered and was able to help me with my problem halfway, still having issuse.

The old version had an app that I was able to put on my cell phone; when I asked about it, they said I would have to log on using the internet (which makes it too hard to view, so that doesn't work for me)

Now my bill is going up, and I feel like the service I'm receiving now isn't what I initially signed up for.

**What problems is Opendock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They haven't solved anything for me yet.

- TV mode is a fan favorite, glad you like it.

- We currently offer 24-hour support for critical issues  (unable to login or schedule appointments)

- We are working to make our application more mobile-friendly so users do not need to download an app. We provide a strong tablet experience today, but know that's not the right fit for everyone, and are working to provide an equally great mobile experience.

I really like opendock because of its easiness to use. Everything that you need is right in the system and very easy to access. Everything I need for shipping and recieving has always been there when I needed it. We are new to opendock at my company and everyone is so far loving the experience.

We are new to using opendock at my company. I personally have not found anything that I do not like as of right now with the little bit of experience I have with it.

The most helpful thing about opendock, is everything it has to offer.  I love the visibility we have with our appointments. I love that we can hold our employees accountable. I love the openness and willingness they have to listen to their customers and implement the great ideas that we come up with. I'm very grateful that we crossed paths, as they have been a life saver for Global freight Solutions.

At the moment, there isn't anything that I can say i dislike.  At the beginning, there were some features that were in the regular opendock, that did not make it to the Nova version, that got me upset. But other great features made up for it.

**What problems is Opendock solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem it's solving is, to use our doors more efficiently and have that visibility.  That benefits GFS because now we can take in more appointments and know if our staff is doing their best to provide our carriers with the best, most awesomeness service and in a timely manner.

While Opendock is focused on normal processes, it can be limited dealing with spotted trailers that may sit at a dock for extended periods of time.

Very easy to track and use, taught a few staffs that weren't tech savys and they learned it really fast.

Setup with suppliers took some time and most were hesitating about using it as they weren't familiar with opendock.

IT IS VERY USEFUL AND USER-FRIENDLY... IT CAN BE USED BY PRACTICALLY ANYONE. THERE ARE A LOT OF WAYS TO ENTER IMPORTANT INFORMATION. IT ALSO KEEPS MULTIPLE PARTIES INVOLVED AND INFORMED WITH IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT A SHIPMENT OR PICKUP.

THE PUSH BACK WE RECEIVE FROM OUR CUSTOMERS IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS, WE ARE CREATURES OF HABITS AND WE HATE CHANGE; HOWEVER, ONCE THE PROCESS IS EXPLAINED, CUSTOMERS ARE PRETTY EASY GOING.

OPENDOCK IS MAKING IT A LOT EASIER TO KEEP TRACK OF SHIPMENTS. OPENDOCK IS ALSO MAKING US SAVE TIME BY ALLOWING OUR CUSTOMERS TO GET UPDATES AND NOT HAVE TO CALL OR EMAIL US DIRECTLY FOR INFORMATION THAT THEY CAN SEE FOR THEMSELVES BY HAVING ACCESS TO OPENDOCK AT ANY TIME.

Being able to plan the volume of our week with ease - gain insights into carrier performance, and no longer have to manually schedule appointments with email or phone calls!

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

Not having an option for fall off appointments - where if a carrier wants to schedule for tomorrow but we are fully booked up, but then another carrier falls off tomorrow and we now have an opening... if there was a way to schedule and ask for next available appointment if someone falls off, so we don't have a wasted dock appointment.

keeps our receiving days volume consistent.  We no longer have days with no appointments and days over booked.  This also lets us schedule warehouse staff accordingly and prevents overtime and downtime.

I like the most recent update where one can click on the Search Appointments tab on the side and search for appointments on any day, any warehouse. It helps so much to find appointments for drivers and customers quickly.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

It can be hard to quickly click on appointments on the grid view without the program thinking you want to reschedule an appointment by moving it. When you click on days on the calendar drop-down, it also tends to think you're trying to click on the grid behind.

It creates easy scheduling with consistent fields in appointments. It has a streamlined view and user experience. It allows different parts of the warehouse to stay up-to-date.

The ability to create different columns and choose the tabs  has been great. It has made scheduling and seeing what is scheduled much easier. It is very customizable and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

The colors can be a bit too much and it would be nice if they weren't so jarring. It would also be helpful to be able to reschedule a canceled appointment instead having to create a new appointment.

I have not seen any problems but the updated have been great. I really like that you can drag and drop appointments when rescheduling to different times. I also very much like that we can change inbound and inbound.

I like to search for particular PO #s and I'm only able to do that in list view of the schedule. I wish that could be done from the calendar view of the schedule.

**What do you like best about Opendock?**

Opendock leaves alot of free time to work on other tasks rather than organizing a schedule for the business. Another great aspect is the customization of menus and the neat layout when using the schedule.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

Not a whole lot. Something that could be improved on is the list of vendors and couriers. Could be sorted under one area with contact info and titles. Otherwise it's a pretty great tool for my company.

Opendock is cutting out the middleman and allowing our couriers and vendors to schedule in their own deliveries. This is ideal for both ourselves and our them.

It's great to know when the product will be delivered, and it helps to plan out the week.  This way I can figure out if product will last until new stuff comes in.

Don't have any dislikes about the program.  Getting all my trucking companies to commit to the program took a while. Some of them still haven't made much effort.

It's helping products get through the pipeline faster.  Also, I can always look back to see when a specific delivery has arrived for billing purposes and for the product that was damaged.

The transition was seamless.  There is more information available (required) than in our previous system.  I think this helps us better prepare for the days activities.

I would like vendors to be able to schedule an appointment and know it is not confirmed until we review their request.

Opendock allows us to schedule delivery appointments as opposed to deliveries arriving whenever they want.  We can receive a charge from carriers if they are not unloaded within a certain timeframe. Opendock certainly keeps this from happening which is a financial win for us.

The format looks and works great. It is very easy to reference and schedule an appt. The color coding is bright and easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Opendock?**

There should be options for smaller appointment windows.  Sometimes it only take our staff 10 minutes to unload an inbound LTL, but Opendock only offers 60 or 90 minute appointment windows.  If 15 minute appt windows were offered we could have 4 trucks scheduled at the same time which is more realistic.

I have not seen that they have solved the major issues with Opendock.

Sounds like we have some work to do to make things more configurable for your team!  Today, we offer a few "standard" appointment start times including 60 minute, 30/60 minute, 20 minute, and 15 minute increments.  They are located in the "My Organization" settings page on the left menu and under the Settings > Appointment Start Times section.  I included a screenshot link below if you click "See how Opendock improved."

We also know that sometimes our "out of the box" intervals don't work for everyone.  In this same section, you have the ability to select "Enable Custom Appointment Start Times" and you can customize them down to the 5-minute interval.

Opendock is getting regularly updated with releases every 2-3 weeks and new great features.  It sounds like we could improve at informing our customers along with easy instructions on how to take advantage of them.

Having carriers to log in or create profiles, some of them really dislike that. Besides that, we have found solutions within the platform to solve the few issues we have encountered.

Ability to claim BOLs and have proper line of sight into deliveries for the day. It is beneficial to the warehousing and purchasing team to keep a puls of product moving in and out.

The only gap we tend to find with opendock sits with the carriers. There is often-time pushback to get them to use any sort of scheduling. Partnerships on OpenDocks end with major carriers would help smooth this over.

I like that I can create reservations when customers haven't booked correctly, so the space does not double book.

The customers can book without needing approval, and then as the user, I can't fix their reservation.

It helps to keep trucks from arriving all at the same time. It keeps the floor workers consistently busy because they are spaced out. It helps to have a the schedule so the office and floor workers know ahead of time what they need to be prepared for.

Being able to edit the arrived and completion times.  Also, the upload of the docs is pretty good.

It is hard to drill around in there, always having to go back and reopen the appt I am working on.  I prefer the old version we started with, it was much smoother.

Honestly, changing over to the NOVA version has made it harder to work with.  I am not a huge fan, i would prefer they go back to the original version.

The only downside so far is driver buy-in.  But that just takes time.  Once they realize how easy it is, i'm sure they'll use it.
