Their capabilities to set up so many different segments will allow us to target promos to different niches within our customer base. We're an online women's clothing store, so being able to target contacts based on interests is huge. This whole experience so far is fantastic, not to mention the thorough and quick support on the Chat whenever we need it, 24/7. Of course, it's tedious to sometimes work through any technical challenges through Chat, but we've had each one resolved quickly. Not only do they look different when you finally send, but creating them in general is just an awedul process. They also dont automatically save. I have lost edits after spending almost an hour on an email campaing edit, and had to redo the whole thing. Also ABSOLUTELY NEED TO figure out the issue with fonts. That said, if your business is not a simple ecomm site, this probably isn't the platform for you. **What do you dislike about Omnisend?** We had our account paused without notice multiple times because we didn't connect an ecommerce site. During the sales cycle, we weren't made aware that the platform is designed almost exclusively for ecommerce sites. This caused us to miss a teaser for one of our main client campaigns because it wasn't resolved quickly. In fact, it wasn't resolved by Customer Service at all--our internal tech team tried a few things and then our account was automatically unpaused. (Only to be paused again with zero notice because we'd connected our website but were conducting marketing for a client website we host.) The tags and lists are a bit confusing on an initial setup. Exporting contacts is a nightmare because it doesn't allow you to export by list--it's all or nothing. We used the forms feature to collect some customer information, and we found out halfway through collecting responses that there was a bug limiting the information collected to just name and email--the two things we'd already had at the start. While customer service eventually offered a clunky solution, we were initially told that our data could be trapped for months and that we would just have to start over. **What problems is Omnisend solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were looking for a simple email solution to handle client marketing and easily keep our business marketing separate. While in theory the platform does offer that--and the email builder works well--there were numerous issues in implementation that created new problems. ### 30. In fact, before I even started my campaign, I had already recovered multiple abandoned carts! **What do you dislike about Omnisend?** Omnisend is definitely geared towards ecommerce sites. If your website doesn't have a shopping cart or an easy way to track and trace customer leads, Omnisend's tools may not be as useful for you. **What problems is Omnisend solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have wanted to jump into email marketing for a while, but most programs have been too simple or could not fully connect to our WooCommerce store. Omnisend was able to integrate within minutes of signing up, and even offered us solutions (like abandoned cart recovery and dynamic discount codes) that were impossible with several of their competitors. Omnisend's automation features and forms also allow us to create segments of our diverse customer base so we can target our campaigns more granularly. ### 31. Spend less time writing emails and more time doing what you want to do while keeping your customer informed about what's going on in your shop/business. I have to upload and remove customers often to keep the number below the limit count. I can send 18000 emails a month but only to X amount of customers, I have to always upload and delete. If you could duplicate Heather, you would have great company and excellent service, but unfortunately, everyone else is pretty clueless. **What do you dislike about Omnisend?** We asked to downgrade the account to a free one because we are transitioning. All we received was a link to the FAQ, which did not help our situation. So after going back and forth with myself and a couple of team members for a few weeks, we finally just froze the account. We then got billed for 3 of our brands and requested a refund, and they issued credits to our account. Customer service was awful, and a lot of features that were promised were not existent. The help desk said certain features were impossible, and our implementation representative, Heather, figured it out and was excellent. Not a platform for advanced marketing. You cannot search SMS, and SMS numbers are not associated with the contact record, which makes it very time-consuming. I would recommend skipping it if you are vetting ESPs. **What problems is Omnisend solving and how is that benefiting you?** None, they have lost our business.
