There are problems within the nextgen office system, which has a disproportionate load of collaborative source metadata, where its code coordination’s and algorithms for inventory control and product production handles fails to save the regular amount of data within the company's cloud in a timely manner, due to its password auto-save accuracy and its placement of customer support checks contain failures in providing download of digital analytical payload storage integrations, thus affecting its asset management status, having to be corrected its moderation of tracking specific intuitive information traffic networks within the enterprise. How well Next Gen links all of the info on a patient. I can go from the encounter notes to the claims to the insurance info, etc etc without being in several systems. It is a known issue (and has been for at least 4 years) that the list does not sort correctly. This really impedes my work and I wish they would fix it immediately. I like how there was no in person training, and this was not even an option... really. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about NextGen Healthcare EHR? 1. There is no way to cc a provider. Really. Every single professional note in the history of written word you can cc a provider and is considered basic medico-legal necessity. I would recommend that, just like this email, there be a way to copy a provider, whether it be a provider, or consultant (or other entity) on the note 2. There is no way to order DME supplies. I cannot believe that this has not been an issue. The workaround suggest was to perform a Consultation. So I am to Consult a CPAP mask? Really. 3. I don’t know how many Neurologists are on this platform, and the Neuro exam is a varied and complex one, but huge swaths of it are not possible in this system at all (geghenhalten, cogwheel rigidity, turning en bloc, gait apraxia, shuffling gait, spontaneous retropulsion, sensory ataxic gait, pronation, drift, intranuclear opthalmoplegia, astasia/abasia, transcortical aphasia, I could go on and on). Documentation of a provider’s primary exam would seem to be a basic requirement on an EMR. 4. “Ordering” an in house procedure to be scheduled drops the bill into the procedure coding exactly the same as Procedure documentation, which is illogical, and takes time to undo the billing, which should not have been billed in the first place. Billing a procedure when done is correct, billing it when ordered to be scheduled is illegal. 5. There is no database of labs that a specialist would use for lets say MS, NMO, MG, and they cant be added. So... lets. see.. I cant document my exam, order DME, order a test without having to go into the back end and un-bill it (for something that hasnt even been scheduled, order a special lab, or even cc my referring providers. WOW. this system is mickey mouse and NOT ready for prime time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
