I like that Navan is a single portal for all travel and expenses, where I can run reports and access invoices, locations, and future bookings. I can book things quickly and easily, the rates are good, and staff can build up rewards. I can report on each booking and trip, and it shortens the time people spend searching for hotels and flights. I like how easy Navan is to use and how approachable it feels. The app is easy for everyone to use on the go, and it takes very little training, so onboarding is quick. It gives our team an easier way to track and book travel with less manual work and less hand-holding. I've had some minor technical issues with managing booking currencies across our international company, and it has sometimes been complex for the platform to handle them efficiently. We've been troubleshooting this with the Navan team and are slowly getting to a resolution. For multi-city bookings, Navan sometimes doesn't offer the best price, so I need to double-check certain flights. Otherwise, I have no major concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like having all our company travel in one place. Everyone can book on the company card without seeing the card details, so we have fewer expenses submitted after the event. I can invite people to a trip and they can easily book through it. I can view everyone’s bookings, approve them, and set pricing restrictions. When I create an event, I can set ideal flight times so nobody has to ask me when they should arrive, even when they’re flying from different parts of the country. I wish I could set one hotel as the preferred option for an event. I can star a hotel now, but it would be helpful if it were automatically shown as preferred, while still letting people choose another option. I like having everything in one location and dealing with one provider instead of multiple airlines and travel agents. Employees can log on and book their own travel within our travel policy, so not everything has to go through our operations team, while we still have a degree of control. Employees also don’t have to pay for travel on a business or personal card and expense it back, and Navan collates our carbon footprint data into a clear snapshot. I find it frustrating that I can’t book split train tickets in the app, and the search can be tricky when I’m looking for specific trains or flights. Group bookings are terrible because you can only book for two people at a time, so a group of eight has to be booked in groups of two. As an admin, when I’m traveling, it can also be hard to find my own ticket because I can see everyone’s tickets and can’t filter to just mine. Navan’s payment terms were difficult at first too: we had to pay our business account every two weeks, rather than monthly, and that almost became a barrier to using Navan. I like using Navan to manage trips for my employees. I love that I can book cars, hotels, and flights in one platform, with personalized options and lots to choose from wherever we travel. I can also manage expenses with categorization, automatic reconciliation, and a way to see how much we’ve been spending on travel. I love that I can generate corporate cards for employees, set their limits and daily subsidy ahead of time based on how long they’re staying, and let them use the card for food and whatever else they need. It’s all hands-free for me. I also like using Navan alongside Xero to log expenses and keep everything consolidated in one place. Setup was very easy, intuitive, and user-friendly. The booking experience is fast and genuinely easy. I can find and book flights and hotels in a few minutes from either the mobile app or desktop, and our company’s travel policy is built right in, so I’m never second-guessing what’s approved. Having all my itineraries, confirmations, and changes in one place makes managing trips much less stressful, and when I’ve needed help, support has been quick to respond. There isn’t much I dislike, but there’s room for improvement. Hotel and flight inventory occasionally doesn’t match what I can find booking directly, so I sometimes double-check prices or availability elsewhere. Some changes and cancellations still require reaching out to support instead of being handled fully in the app, which can slow things down during busy travel periods. I find Navan simplifies expense management for end users and the finance team, and it’s an effective tool for booking travel. The end-user experience is really good, with a very high acceptance rate and little training needed because it’s mostly self-explanatory. Users can manage expenses and book travel themselves, and it works for them. Navan works fine in most cases, but some details remain challenging. I’d like better control over report access—for example, giving users access to certain admin data while limiting them to specific budget codes. This works properly for travel bookings, but not for all transactions, and the expense and travel sides are not fully connected yet. Our ERP also isn’t supported as a direct integration.
