I like that Navan is easy and fast to use, and that booking feels as straightforward as using a consumer travel site. My employees can book without being inconvenienced, and the admin side is easy to use too. I appreciate the range of booking options, including flights, hotels, and trains in Europe, even though train coverage isn’t quite as comprehensive as flight coverage. The guest booking feature is especially useful: I can send guests a link so they can book travel on our company card instead of sending reimbursement invoices, and we don’t have to pay their bank accounts or review receipts. I also like that I can set clear, detailed travel policies that adjust to different countries and trip types, without making them hard to configure or administer. I like that Navan offers a free plan for a small company, and I find it easy to use. I find the name Navan hard to connect with business travel, and it sounds like a pharmaceutical company or drug to me. That makes it harder to explain and recommend to colleagues and clients, since I have to give them a whole spiel about what it is. I’m also not sure how long the “formerly TripActions” wording will stay in the advertising. I’m still looking into the APIs, so integrating Navan with our accounting system will take some time. We have a lot of unexpected changes in our organization that affect travel plans. Navan's customer service is always fantastic with helping us sort out those changes, but typically are not able to provide any kind of reference or confirmation number that we can use for follow ups. I feel like a lot of the travel is non-refundable, though I’m not sure if that’s Navan’s fault. The first flight option always seems to be non-refundable, and as things change, I think it would be nice for the starting options to have some form of refund clause.
