## Mural Reviews
 ### 1. Feature-Rich and Reliable: Great Navigation, Templates, and Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larissa M. | Product Management Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural has great features that work well, such as navigation, post-its, areas, icons, Jira integration, and templates. Also I got support when needed.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Mural still has several gaps, but it does seem dedicated to improving. The positioning and alignment reference lines have improved a lot, but it’s still lacking when it comes to placing items within areas, or when you have areas inside other areas. On a lower-capacity computer, Mural also tends to take a long time to load. I still don’t see much AI in Mural, and I think this is another area where it could improve.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural helps me consolidate ideas into a solution, since I can brainstorm and turn it to a clear workflow. Not really sure how measurable this is, but would say it makes online sketching possible, and compared to only text notes or paper, it's 100% better.

 ### 2. Mural’s Infinite Canvas and Intuitive UI Make Brainstorming Limitless

I dont feel that there is something wrong with Mural it is one of my favorite software for our retros. and i feel the support and the integrations are also very well.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural is helping us in conducting good brainstorming sessions, as well as it is helping us in a very good retrospective of our sprints which is ultimately helping us to figure out what went well and what can be improved from our sprint failures if any, secondly we are using it to track our deliverables of our projects which also gives us confidence how our teams are performing real-time.

I mainly want to highlight how simple and intuitive the initial setup was. I was able to start using it right away, which I really loved. I also appreciate the automatic arrow adjustment feature, since it makes creating and updating decision trees much easier and lets me focus on the flow instead of worrying about the small details.

I have nothing negative to say. Their drag-and-drop diagrams and pre-designed templates are very useful because they let you quickly create visual representations without starting from scratch. This saves time and makes workflows easier to understand.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed software that was easy to use and understand, and that also let me export to PDF. With Mural, I found exactly that—and more. It’s been an incredibly useful tool for organizing my ideas into a visual decision tree, and it’s made a radical difference in how I work. **Reviewed by:** Fonsie F. | Creative project manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

One thing I really love about Mural is how it facilitates and smooths the collaboration between many teams, they can be anywhere. I mainly use it for brainstorm and writing out maps of the idea but it has been a great tool for visualizing the complex concepts. I can work with tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams, because it really well integrates and it’s easy for me to share and communicate with my team in real time. It’s also a big time saving with the templates!

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

In some ways, Mural can be a little too feature rich of its own. The UI is great for frequent users but I've noticed that the new users might find it a bit difficult starting from where. Additionally, it can also lag a little when people are all editing at the same time, making collaborative sessions most fluid than I’d like. Overall, these are nuisances, but nuisances that should be observed nonetheless.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural was the tool that helped us up until most the main problem it resolved was to make collaboration from distant locations easier. It has given us the shared space to work in that allows us to have more productive brain storming sessions. It has helped run the workflow which has become easier to have everyone on the same page. That has been great as a solution that makes sure that all team members can work from anywhere and stay aligned during projects.

**What do you like best about Mural?**

What I love about mural is the ease of collaboration. It's really fantastic how we can all work on the same board and complete different workshops as if we were all at the same place.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Sometimes we lose track and it can be overcrowded for big teams, still we can work it through by creating multiple boards and split the team so that it doesn't become crowded.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used mural for project planning and user journeys as well as for remote design sprints with clients and their teams.

Its AI helps in unlocking more features and ideas that needs to be implemented. We are able to manage and collaborate on projects in real time and align all tasks for better automation.

 ### 33. Great software for team collaboration!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Spencer H. | SQA Analyst II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

The ease-of-use of Mural is what keeps bringing my team and I back to it. It is infinitely customizable, intuitive and is used every day. Our IT team makes great use of its Jira integration and is one of the primary reasons it is a staple of our tool suite.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Perhaps it is just my internet and/or computer's processing power, but it does run a little slow sometimes and take up a good bit of memory. There appears to be an occasional caching issue as well but none of these apparent issues keep anyone on my team from using the software.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My software development team and I were looking for a tool to properly do 3 main things: project management, a shared team calendar and a whiteboard to run retrospectives. Adoption of Mural has allowed us to do all 3 of these with the same tool with an incredible ease-of-use.

 ### 34. It's a really nice for studying. I use it almost daily and all my casemates love it when I share it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** omar w. | student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural is a really great collaborative tool. Its simple interface, large library of templates, and real-time collaboration capabilities make it convenient to collaborate with teams remotely. I use it almost daily and for about 6-8 hours a day. I use it at school and it's really easy to use because I can just share the link to my teacher and she can project it on the smart board and we use it for homework, projects and more.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

While Mural is a great tool, it can be a bit slow at times, especially with bigger boards and more collaborators. Also onboarding new users can be difficult, especially for those without prior experience using digital whiteboarding tools.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural makes working together easy by allowing me to contribute ideas visually and engage in sessions without hassle. Its smart interface and real-time features make participation easy, ensuring smooth teamwork and efficient discussions.

 ### 35. Helps me to work collaboratively and agile

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monica Alejandra C. | Especialista en experiencia de servicios digitales, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

I appreciate: The different brainstorming templates, the timer, the ease of assigning points and making it easy to choose new ideas.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

It would be ideal if it could be added as an extension or just integrated with google meet.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural helps me to collaborate with teams in different locations, facilitates the creation of digital products, the selection of functionalities and the making of business decisions.

 ### 36. The best whiteboarding app I've used

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural has a lot of rich features that also work well, making it my preferred whiteboarding tool of the ones I've tried. It supports a lot of media types (which si perfect for my retros).

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Private mode isn't really private; it'd be nice if it didn't show where you moved items to as that makes some of the activities of my team retros not as private as we'd like.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural solves the problem of how to gather ideas together from my team and synthesizing them. With its collection of features & integrations, it's easy to work in Mural and export out.

 ### 37. Most helpful tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saritha S. | Technical writer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Mural?**

You can draw, demonstrate something to team members and brainstorm with others

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Difficult to understand how to use for a starter

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration through online

 ### 38. Perfect Visual Collaboration to boost team productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gagandeep B. | Manager Data Science and Analytics, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Effortless collaboration with unlimited team members with correct level of control on the board

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

There should be a provision of offline access

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This brings a common platform to be used by my team and clients alike. Even other vendors can contribute at the same time to brainstorm together and solve the common problem collaboratively

 ### 39. An Extension of My Mind

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben D. | Associate Director of Research & Strategy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

After using mural for ~6 years now I find opening a board and organizing my thoughts to feel quite natural and a go-to solution for externalizing and organizing my thoughts. As a design researcher I also use it to analyze large qualitative data sets, working remotely with colleagues and clients.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

There have been some changes with mural over the years that I question. I particularly dislike that canvases are now default to infinite and that changing them back to a defined board is such an involved process. I also miss having the global view of everyone's cursor and screen in the corner, now I can't easily tell where my clients are looking or if we've lost anyone.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

collaborating around large qualitative data sets and organizing visual concepts

 ### 40. A great platform for your team meetings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin G. | Commercial Legal Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

More than a year ago we started using Mural in our team meetings and we never stopped, it became part of our routine as a team and we've implemented it to all kinds of meetings, from daily meetings to brainstorming sessions, planing, retro, and even running our kanban boards. It is really intuitive, easy to use, and when we had issues they provided great support.

Recently, we've discovered how to integrate it with Atlassian, which made a lot better our Kanban experience!

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

The left bar could be improved, as it feels too painful to navigate options. Something more dynamic would help increase the use of those tools.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualization during team meetings, proper Kanban execution linked to JIRA, Brainstorming sessions, Planning and Retrospective meetings, Project Management.

 ### 41. Great for Creative Collaboration, Minor Lag in Team Sessions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

I tried Mural for the first time during a CSPO class and appreciated its timer, voting, and chat features. The platform is clearly designed to support creativity and strategic sessions, which I am passionate about.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

We experienced some lag while collaborating as a team.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After being introduced to it during the CSPO class, I am now considering it as the collaborative whiteboard solution for our Digital and PC scrum teams working on the Guidewire platform.

 ### 42. Remote Collaboration-Critical

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural enables one to work seamlessly whether in person or remote. The interface is extremely intuitive, and provides several white-boarding options whether brainstorming design, process or communication.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Interface at times can lack features or graphics that its peers do. Kanban, tables, charts are available for others that are not available in Mural.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like many we sometimes have to collaborate on design problems that require both complex inputs and multiple people whether remote or in-person. This has become indispensable in doing so.

 ### 43. I enjoy using it very much and highly recommend it to everyone I work with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

I love Mural's intuitive interface and collaborative features. It makes teamwork seamless, even in remote settings, and helps visualize ideas effectively. The flexibility and ease of use are what make it stand out for me. I especially appreciate its mind mapping and process mapping tools, which make brainstorming and structuring workflows incredibly efficient

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Overall, I really enjoy using Mural, but there are a few areas for improvement. Sometimes, the performance can slow down with larger boards, making navigation a bit sluggish. Additionally, better integration with other collaboration tools would enhance the experience even more. A more intuitive way to manage large and complex process maps could also be helpful

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural helps solve the challenge of remote and hybrid collaboration by providing an intuitive, visual workspace for brainstorming, mind mapping, and process mapping. It streamlines teamwork, making it easy to align ideas, structure workflows, and co-create in real time. This has significantly improved my ability to facilitate engaging workshops, organize complex processes, and ensure that everyone stays on the same page - no matter where they are. I especially value how Mural supports creative workshops for co-creation processes in innovation design, making it easier to generate, develop, and refine ideas collaboratively

 ### 44. Brainstorming made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandra L. | Graphic Designer, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

I have used other platforms and the way you interact while working with several people is just a mess, with Mural all the tools are accesible and very easy to use. I work at a university and it is very helpful having all of my students participate in a single file with no hazzle.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I would like if i could do tables, I like the design a lot, so i am using google slides and excel way less, but it would be amazing if it had formulas (the simple ones).

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to make pages so that my students collaborate and be more participant during class.

 ### 45. Not miro nor visio. Something between. For the better.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Collaboration is as easy as pie. The best part is not only seeing who is online but seeing the cursor and changes in real time. This is a real game changer. No need to share screens, no need to share links. Collaborative work at its best. The icon and visual packs are also out of this world. No need anymore to go on a google search for a stock world map or icon.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I find that Mural still misses some features, like tables. Having to construct some visuals using only boxes and sticky notes is kind of annoying. Also, I understand the idea of an 'open world' visual, where you can store all visuals in a same board, or Mural. But I find it easy to get lost in so much data. Honestly I don't have any clear ideas for improvement in this case... Maybe a tag that you can add to a point or coordinate in the mural that can be easily tracked and searched?

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a lot of flowcharts and workflow descriptions in our daily business and all of those are built by many hands. We used Visio in the past but many times we lost data because of someone saving into others changes and this is never happening with Mural. The collaboration is the biggest point for us.

 ### 46. Best cocreation tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan Pablo O. | Service Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

The best of mural is the ease of use, the esay sharing options and its multiple features and options to create collaborative sesions.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I would like more free murals at least 2 o r 3 more. I would like that when copying a group of notes they coul be paste next to them

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a company, we needed an open, easily shareable whiteboard space where employees across the organization could seamlessly collaborate on key processes such as roadmapping, customer journey mapping, and brainstorming. This space would enable real-time teamwork, idea-sharing, and strategic planning, fostering innovation and alignment across teams.

 ### 47. Mural

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MANOJ KUMAR P. | Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Ease of use, ui friendlies, vivid colors

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

I dont see any issues, its widely being used

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capture requirement
Geting feedback

 ### 48. The best collaboration tool I've ever used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steven H. | Business Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Mural allows me to effectively run workshops and collaboration sessions remotely in an easy and inclusive way. The Customer Support team were amazing support when I needed them and now Mural is par of my everyday work life. Mural has removed some of the dependency on traditional MS based templates and even those with limited IT skills can use Mural with little to no training.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Text boxes and the formatting of text held within doesn't match the high standards of the other features

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mural provides the platform to allow me to workshop with collegues around the word and allow them to directly contribute

 ### 49. Very good cross functional workspace tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Per-Anders G. | Senior Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Really easy tool to use. Easy to work crossfunctionally and to visualise e.g. projects. There are many templates free to use and to start from and then adapt to your projects.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

As it is easy to invite people and work cross functionally, it is difficult to keep track of if someone changes something, e.g. by mistake. You can lock objects, but it is easy to forget to lock all objects that is good to lock.

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To visualise something, and to have one common workspace, instead of multiple documents at one or different Team sites.

 ### 50. Great for team collaboration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Mural?**

Has multiple collaborative tools that allow for conferencing, brainstorming, and documentation in numerous boards and applets, with interactive elements allowing for dynamic yet productive meetings.

**What do you dislike about Mural?**

Sometimes the interface can be a bit clunky, with issues such as participants accidentally moving board items (though admins are likely able to restrict this, it should be limited by default to prevent such cases),

**What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In team meetings, Mural allows for structured collaboration sessions using the multitude of applets and features such as voting, storyboarding, and the like. With the freedom afforded to us, we can design all sorts of team activities for each meeting that are likely outside of the scope of what the developers initally envisioned -- the app has great customisability for this purpose.
