Motion unifies calendars, tasks, projects, and AI-driven insights within a single platform, making it a distinctive hub for managing creative operations. What truly sets it apart is the way it "thinks for you." I simply add tasks, set deadlines or priorities, and Motion automatically arranges them into open time blocks, working around my existing meetings. This automation eases the mental burden of planning and allows me to concentrate on execution.
I also appreciate how, when paired with Motion’s ad/creative reporting module, it surfaces creative performance insights. This blend of "what’s scheduled" and "what’s performing" helps ensure that production aligns with data-driven decisions. The interface is streamlined, and I like how tasks, subtasks, and calendar events coexist seamlessly.
With features like intelligent rescheduling, dependency management, multi-calendar integration, and AI-powered prioritization, Motion feels less like a traditional tool and more like a true productivity partner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the idea and features are powerful, there are a few rough edges:
* Learning curve & setup intensity: To get good AI scheduling, you need to invest time up front—defining task durations, preferred work windows, priority rules, etc. Until that baseline is solid, the algorithm’s choices sometimes feel off.
* Mobile limitations: The desktop/web experience is strong; mobile feels more basic. Some features and views (especially project boards) aren’t fully mature on phone or tablet.
* Price vs. feature maturity: Compared to more mature project tools, a few advanced capabilities (custom automation, deep team workflows) feel like they’re just emerging. For teams expecting all-in-one depth, some parts of Motion may feel “good but not complete.”
* Calendar quirks & conflicts: Occasionally, tasks get auto-scheduled into less ideal times or get bumped when something changes. There have also been user-reported issues around recurring events or syncing edge cases.
* Support & onboarding speed: Some users have said setup or getting help can take longer than expected, especially when resolving unique team workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
