Microsoft Word is tried and true, and packs all the features you could ever want in a word processor. As an author, I definitely prefer it to other similar products on the market. It's easy to use, an industry standard, and works well offline.

The only real flaw I've noticed with Word is how cumbersome the insertion of images or tables can be. It's very easy for them to throw off the formatting of an entire document. Fortunately, as an author of fiction and poetry, I don't need to use those often, so it's usually not an issue for me. But if you're in another line of work, I can see how it might cause consistent problems.

Mostly, Microsoft Word allows me to type out my stories and poems, store them in easy to use formats, and transmit them to editors at various fiction or poetry publications for evaluation and eventual publication. Microsoft word is used by everyone I know, including myself. I use this to make every document, my CV, and everything I need when using my laptop. This includes writing letters, preparing documents for work. It's got a lot of features like bold writing, table of contents, charts, etc. It helps create documents easily. You can save your documents onto your laptop or OneDrive so that you can come back to edit it or simply print it out. Easy as that! So I love it. I've been using it for over 10 years. It's better than using other software which doesn't give you features like spelling errors, synonyms, etc. Every job role I have requires Microsoft Word, so I am an expert at using it!
