Remote collaboration usually slows down not inside the platform but at the handoff to the other side, getting external advisers, buyers, or clients who aren't in it daily to actually log in and use it instead of falling back on email. I've noticed that exact friction in reviews too: one investment banking reviewer using DealRoom for consumer and retail deals said the platform itself offered a great workflow experience, but getting clients to adopt the tool for usage was the real challenge. That external-adoption gap, not internal navigation, is usually where a distributed deal process actually loses time.
