Everything is cloud based and all you need is to learn the system and apply it to your business. No matter how small your business is, it will give you the MRP system capacity of large companies at a price you can afford when building a start-up. **What do you dislike about Megaventory?** There is no features that is not well thought of. Once you understand the system and how you can configure it, you will understand how it beats large ERP systems that requires professional staff and consultants to make updates and run testing. With Megaventory, you make the changes you want and you are running. **What problems is Megaventory solving and how is that benefiting you?** Implementing and running an MRP system capacity in Mexico with staff that never had any experience with integrated business system. Megaventory is a great solution for certain companies. There is a gap between using excel sheets and moving everything to a full scale ERP system and Megaventory is the perfect middle ground. Depending on how you receive orders, order volume, your accounting system and what the purpose of an ERP solution you are looking for, Megaventory can provide a simple, relatively cost-effective solution to a problem. It is easy to get sey-up; with organized info can be done in less than a week easily. It easy to use and manage. Only reason it got an 8 was, we outgrew the platform and needed something that can automate more processes for us, as well as, a system that better integrated to our accounting platforms. I know they were in the works to upgrade both of those features, so it may be what ou need and in that case, they would make a great partner. All in all, good simple platform run by good, trustworthy people. **What do you dislike about Megaventory?** Can be a little clunky(slow) at times. Does not offer as much ability to automate(import functions would have been very nice to have). Since it is cloud based, there is no need to make a local back-up. Entry of data is quite fast thanks the clear entry mask. **What do you dislike about Megaventory?** The mobile interface could be better, sometimes pages are a little bit slow to load, but that is usually a trade-off when using cloud-based solutions. **Recommendations to others considering Megaventory:** When searching for an attractively priced inventory management system, then Megaventory could be a software of choice. The software has selfexplanatory user-interface therefore does not need a long employee training. Navigating through the software is easy, thanks to a good subdivision. If you need to have limited authorizations for every employee, then i would not reccomend this software since you can't customize the limititations individually. **What problems is Megaventory solving and how is that benefiting you?** The company grew bigger and bigger over time and traditional stock keeping techniques were not an option anymore. There was nobody who knew what exactly was in stock. Megaventory enabled us to clean the inventory and have a better overview over the stocks with current inventory, arriving products and pre-orderd items. The costs of goods not sold has been cut down as well the obsolete items. ### 5. It has all the features we need as a small business with hundreds of SKUs. We find the serial # function to be really essential for tracking our finished goods. The UI is easy to navigate and it's generally easy to figure out how to use new features without viewing the online help. While none of our employees are formally educated in inventory management we all are able to use it successfully. Whenever we run into the rare bug, Megaventory is very quick to respond and resolve it. **What do you dislike about Megaventory?** While functional and relatively easy to navigate the UI is a bit clunky / outdated. They could probably benefit from having a dedicated UI / human factors designer. For example, when searching inventory it's not that obvious that you may be filtering based on inventory location. **What problems is Megaventory solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to precisely track our inventory with staff not trained in this area. ### 6. Also, the localization options are the best I've seen in any software, you can literally change any section to use the phrasing that best suits your organization. **What do you dislike about Megaventory?** The UI used to be a bit old style but it's been renewed in the last couple months and it looks great now! **Recommendations to others considering Megaventory:** Make sure you understand the interactions with Quickbooks before doing the initial sync, as quickbooks is not very forgiving is anything is configured in the wrong way. However a plenty optional ones are available. This makes the system flexible for small startups and bigger companies. You can pretty much start using it as soon as you buy it, although of course some configuration is necessary. It has a trial version which is amazing because you don't have to sign a contract or pay upfront and only afterwards realize what the software does/doesn't do. We like that we can manage our procurement, inventory and manufacturing from one solution and that it integrates with SolidWorks. The customer support is also amazing. They answer really fast and help us figure out how to solve our problems. They will also do customizations at request, which we have some times needed, and they delivered to our satisfaction. In a nutshell, we are getting great value for money. **What do you dislike about Megaventory?** We would love it if we could have: 1. A purchase requisition process that includes manager approval (our procurement department still receives emails and spreadsheets to know what to purchase) 2. A more comprehensive AP invoice functionality. We can only record invoices that are linked to a PO/material receipt, so the rest of them (electricity bill, insurance, travel expenses) we cannot record in the system. This means we have two sources of payables and that is not good practice. 3. We cannot set approval limits for PO for different users. Some of our buyers should not be placing orders of more than a certain amount, but we cannot restrict that. We have not been too deep into costing or shipping functionalities yet, so I cannot comment on those two topics. **What problems is Megaventory solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Megaventory we were in total darkness. Thanks to this tool we now have control over what we are buying, storing and building. Despite being a small software compared to the big ERPs, it is truly keeping us alive. We manage all of our production, and we have started buying for our international offices using Megaventory. Please note that you can create a product of Product Type Service and use that to record invoices such as those you mention (i.e. insurance, expenses, etc). Megaventory is not an accounting software so if you need a proper AP management, then you need appropriate bookkeeping software So, although again we see the value of such functionality living inside Megaventory until more advanced bookkeeping features become available you can make use of Quickbooks Online which integrates with Megaventory and can fully track your AP and other bookkeeping information. The support is extremely good and the team is responsive and has even enhanced features and take suggestions **What do you dislike about Megaventory?** No support for localized taxes for India, so I am unable to use it generate Tax Invoices. Some invoices need taxation that is not line wise but on the entire invoice. After speaking with Kostis about needing extra help using Megaventory he has really stepped up to the plate. He has gotten back to me with changes within an hour and I am highly impressed and grateful. The system isn't the easiest to learn on your own and the support articles are just overwhelming; but Kostis and Demitris have been doing a great job at helping with my questions. **What do you dislike about Megaventory?** It's not very user friendly and can be pretty confusing. We have 4000 solar tracking systems in SouthEast Europe and Megaventory helps us to distribute required spares to more than 250 customers. Megaventory team consulted us how to use their software to handle our service and sales. My team has beforehand and everywere any information needed! For us, after 4 years is the best and most versatile stock management system! Really appreciate taking the time to write it! Just a couple of notes regarding the cons you lay out. For one thing, it is possible to provide different permissions to different users to a significant extent. Certain functionality is also off-limits to non-admin users. Other than that, certain permissions may not be able to be provided to any user at all - in most cases that's related to the specific workflow of each company. In these circumstances, we suggest to our customers to contact us so we can address the shortcoming with a workaround or, if possible, to include a fix in our product roadmap, if the issue in question is a more generally applicable one. For another, regarding sending out products not existing in sales orders, it generally is possible to create a new product with its individual parameters (SKU, description, price, etc) at any time and include it in a future sales order following the product creation. Logical workflow, good user role management, serial number support, technical support is prompt and expert. **What do you dislike about Megaventory?** I am using the older version because of serial number module and it sometimes gives internal server error.. but its really ignorable. **Recommendations to others considering Megaventory:** I would definitely recommend Megaventory to business with inventory management needs. If you need to keep record of serial numbers, there is no other software available in the market for this price. I have done lots of comparisons before buying this and I am quite happy with my decision. **What problems is Megaventory solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am in mobile phone business and most important feature is keeping track of each phone bought and sold. Megaventory helps me to keep record of each single phone by registering IMEI (Serial number) for each handset and see where I bought the phone and to whome did I sell. If customer returns the phone I can check with MV history if this is the same phone I sent to customer. Megaventory also generates delivery notes /packing slip/picking slip with serial numbers which saves a lot of work by entering them manually.
