The most helpfull feature of Megaventory is the ability to fully integrate your sales and manufacturing business with minimum infrastructure. Everything is cloud based and all you need is to learn the system and apply it to your business. There is no features that is not well thought of. Once you understand the system and how you can configure it, you will understand how it beats large ERP systems that requires professional staff and consultants to make updates and run testing. Megaventory has great customer service, the founders(Kostis) will respond to difficult questions and they are very honest and straightforward. Megaventory is a great solution for certain companies. There is a gap between using excel sheets and moving everything to a full scale ERP system and Megaventory is the perfect middle ground. Depending on how you receive orders, order volume, your accounting system and what the purpose of an ERP solution you are looking for, Megaventory can provide a simple, relatively cost-effective solution to a problem. It is easy to get sey-up; with organized info can be done in less than a week easily. It easy to use and manage. Only reason it got an 8 was, we outgrew the platform and needed something that can automate more processes for us, as well as, a system that better integrated to our accounting platforms. I know they were in the works to upgrade both of those features, so it may be what ou need and in that case, they would make a great partner.

Can be a little clunky(slow) at times. Does not offer as much ability to automate(import functions would have been very nice to have). Only does ERP, no accounting(for us that was a negative but will not be for everybody). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The implementation time is really low, and the userinterface is really easy to understand, even if you are not trained with ERP software. Since it is cloud based, there is no need to make a local back-up.

We've used Megaventory for many years and it keeps getting better with each new version. It has all the features we need as a small business with hundreds of SKUs. We find the serial # function to be really essential for tracking our finished goods. The UI is easy to navigate and it's generally easy to figure out how to use new features without viewing the online help. While none of our employees are formally educated in inventory management we all are able to use it successfully. While functional and relatively easy to navigate the UI is a bit clunky / outdated. They could probably benefit from having a dedicated UI / human factors designer. For example, when searching inventory it's not that obvious that you may be filtering based on inventory location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software's ability to keep in mind that even if I haven't received an item, it can still be accounted for and reserved for a customer.

What I like the best is that only a few filed are required when defining products, suppliers and categories. However a plenty optional ones are available. This makes the system flexible for small startups and bigger companies. We save time with this system and make the work done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is very straightforward, so the implementation time is really short. You can pretty much start using it as soon as you buy it, although of course some configuration is necessary. It has a trial version which is amazing because you don't have to sign a contract or pay upfront and only afterwards realize what the software does/doesn't do.

We like that we can manage our procurement, inventory and manufacturing from one solution and that it integrates with SolidWorks. The customer support is also amazing. They answer really fast and help us figure out how to solve our problems. They will also do customizations at request, which we have some times needed, and they delivered to our satisfaction.

We would love it if we could have:

1. A purchase requisition process that includes manager approval (our procurement department still receives emails and spreadsheets to know what to purchase)

2. A more comprehensive AP invoice functionality. We can only record invoices that are linked to a PO/material receipt, so the rest of them (electricity bill, insurance, travel expenses) we cannot record in the system. This means we have two sources of payables and that is not good practice.

3. We cannot set approval limits for PO for different users. Some of our buyers should not be placing orders of more than a certain amount, but we cannot restrict that.

We have not been too deep into costing or shipping functionalities yet, so I cannot comment on those two topics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

No support for localized taxes for India, so I am unable to use it generate Tax Invoices.

Some invoices need taxation that is not line wise but on the entire invoice. Not able to do that

This is the biggest problem for me, as i need to make invoices in another system, yet still do some basic invoicing here for inventory integrity Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The possibility to manage your inventory with effectiveness and accountability, you can make every movement, add new products, make a sales quotation, make it into a sales order, generate invoices, add tracking numbers, dates and add a lot of useful information for your business.
