Building constraints to accommodate your business is really easy. Maintaining data, standards, etc. is easy. It had a great output of schedules. The reporting tool is amazing. You are able to pull out any level of data you like. You are able to zoom in and out of days down to the minute in scheduling gantt chart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is busy screen. It is alot to take in when just learning. It gets easier like anything else but it can be intimidating at first. We used the production scheduler. It was alot of data to maintain. We are the time were using only Logility Scheduler. So we had to manually maintain the data. It is possible that used with other Logility products this may not be an issue. The Demand Planning/Forecasting module is a great tool for generating detailed forecasts for lots of items without each requiring individual attention. You can leverage group behavior, or forecast at a product group and share the forecast across members. In the Inventory Planning module (IP) safety stocks are generated based on the Forecast Error for each period in the future you plan for. This is a big step up from 'static safety' solutions and dramatically helps plan inventory in a highly dynamic or seasonal environment. The Replenishment Planning (RP) module provides a solid purchase and distribution planning module with an easy to use interface to generate orders or stock movements. It can be a challenge to pull data out of Logility for external reporting and analysis without a good DBA to help. Any individual screen can easily be dumped to excel, but for mass reporting some relatively involved SQL is required. This should not be out of reach for any organization looking at LVS, but should be considered. Further, the user interface has come a long in the last 15 years, but is not as configurable by the end user as people generally expect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My favorite part about using Logility Voyager was that the learning curve for getting used to the interface and major functions was very intuitive. With the easy-to-learn base functionality, every more advanced function within the system built on itself in a logical way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The largest downside of using Logility Voyager was that all of our technical support was in a drastically different timezone, so any upgrades we wanted to make or troubleshooting we needed to explore had to be done on an oddly-timed conference call. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only downside was the difficulty of initial data management and setup. This platform is designed directly for sales forecasting, and my company implemented it for a manufacturing forecast - so there were initial growing pains with creating the forecast data.
