Logility is a very beneficial tool to drive your business. If you spend plenty of time up front in setting up logility to best use your data. All modules mesh together, so setting up your Demand Planning module, but ignoring (or not understanding)your Inventory & Replenishment modules, you will get great forecasts, but suggested orders that make no sense and makes you question the usefulness of the software. (Discovered through experience!). If you take the time to learn what you need to provide Logility and have good data feeding in, proper inventory and forecast controls, you will get a very dependable output of information. What problems is Logility Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?
Once we were able to finalize our ordering strategy controls, our ordering times were drastically reduced as Logility was allowed to take over all of our suggested orders. Our purchasing agents were able to quickly review orders with a high-level of confidence that a majority were exactly what a manual order would have been. In an industry with 4+ months of product lead times, having a good forecast and inventory replenishment plan was crucial to the success of the company. In general, with continued use and tweaking of settings, we routinely saw inventory forecasts and sales forecasts up over 90% accuracy, which allowed us to dramatically reduce our on-hand inventory, yet still be able to maintain high fill rate percentages.
