"Effortless Asset Management, Awaits Key Features"
What do you like best about Lingo?

I really like the display of Lingo. Everything is loaded and I can visibly see the photos without having to open them. I also like how the brand kits are interactive, such as copying the hex color codes. It's very customizable and Lingo keeps coming out with new features often, making it fresh and current. The migration and initial setup were very easy, and the Lingo team was super helpful. They always answered any questions I had in a timely manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lingo?

There is nothing I dislike about Lingo, but rather I'm looking forward to new features. For example, a Canva integration because our team uses Canva a lot, so having all of our pictures in Lingo, but then connected to Canva would be ideal. Also, having Lingo on mobile would be very helpful for our clients uploading media. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplicity and Markdown Make Lingo a Standout"
What do you like best about Lingo?

I like the simplicity of the platform, and I personally love the Markdown support. Lingo is great for storing and keeping up with digital assets and brand guidelines for multiple brands. It allows us to support our wholesale customers by easily delivering media kits to them. It's also super easy to set up, especially since our brand kits weren't too complex before switching over. Lingo's pricing model worked better for us compared to other options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lingo?

I would love a more robust account-wide file manager, as well as some additional display options for files inside of kits (like a large-size preview of a file, for instance). It would also be nice if the 'supplemental media' elements could be managed as files rather than as single-instance uploads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortlessly Organizes and Enhances User Experience"
What do you like best about Lingo?

I like how user-friendly Lingo is and how easy it is to use. I like that we can build things in the back and then move them forward when it's time. Everything's just super organized, and it's really easy. It's really user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lingo?

I wish there was a way to copy pages within a kit to duplicate them, not copy them so that I can make edits to them, but it won't make edits to the original page or kit. So just a duplication feature would be very nice. Our customers have also expressed interest in having a more user-friendly app, so an app that they can actually download, versus using their Chrome browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Brand Asset Management with Lingo"
What do you like best about Lingo?

I like most that Lingo is not overly customizable. I appreciate that I can focus on telling the story of the asset rather than worrying about the formatting of the page it sits on. The limited formatting abilities are something I actually like, because it allows me to concentrate on communicating the important parts, like how an asset is used. It's helpful that it removes the need to design the container for the design. This setup keeps things simple and ensures clarity in communication about what the asset is and how it's supposed to be used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lingo?

I think the same thing that I love is the same thing that could be improved sometimes. Would like a little bit more customization on a page if I want an overview page to be a little bit dynamic, but a little more or less storytelling focused. I would love to be able to hyperlink banner images, which you currently can't do. I will say that I know Lingo is working on updates to make pages more customizable. "Lingo Keeps Us Organized and Efficient—Our Source of Truth"
What do you like best about Lingo?

Helps me and my organization stay organized and efficient. We like to think of Lingo as our source of truth. Way easier than storing things in Google Drive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lingo?

Not much. I do wish some of the "display" settings were a little more customizable but overall, not much to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visually Organized Asset Library with Flexible Organization"
What do you like best about Lingo?

I love that I can keep everything organized in a way that's visually accessible. Being able to tag/search assets is key to keeping a large library organized, and there are many ways to make the platform work for my specific needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lingo?

I wish there were a few more auto-tagging/searching features so I don't have to rely as much on manual tags for simpler/more generic tagging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies Asset Distribution with Ease"
What do you like best about Lingo?

I find Lingo's simplicity really beneficial as it allows me to onboard teammates with very little training. The initial setup was also very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lingo?

The hierarchy is a bit confusing. It could benefit from simpler heuristics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lingo has potential but essential features are limited to enterprise plans, and there's no support"
What do you like best about Lingo?

Lingo overall has pretty good UI and a lot of the features one would expect from an online brand management service like this. It's intuitive to use and easy to share both internally and externally. While the flexibility and customization is limited, it makes the learning curve much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lingo?

Lingo is a platform dedicated to creating online brand guidelines, among other things like asset management. However, full customization of the platform to match your brand is locked behind the enterprise plan. This decision is baffling to me, and I can't use the platform for this reason, among others. It would be extremely hypocritical to create brand guidelines, telling everyone in my organization that anything to do with the logo or the company has to have a specific font, but then all of the guidelines themselves use a default Lingo font. In order to get full font customization you have to go with their enterprise plan. I don't even need most of the features of any of the higher-tier plans, yet I'm forced to pay for them just to get the simple addition of a custom font.

Is it easy to upgrade to the enterprise tier or to see pricing? Nope, you have to contact sales. Unfortunately, and this is the second reason I would recommend folks look elsewhere, their sales team is completely comatose. They don't respond to form inquiries or the onsite chat widget, effectively making the use of an enterprise tier impossible unless you have days to wait for an answer. And when you decide you want to go a different direction and delete your account? Yup, you have to contact the Lingo team, who will respond to you in their own sweet time, if they feel like it. "A must have for growing design teams."
What do you like best about Lingo?

Lingo is a fantastic asset library–it handles a wide variety of file types and makes them easy to find, use and update. We also use Lingo as a living design guide and DAM. The ability to interlace documentation with asset delivery makes Lingo a nimble partner in the creative process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lingo?

I wish lingo could help us organize copy documents (largely Google doc links) along with our assets in a better way. Currently, we just link to documents with the notes feature, but this doesn't solve the problem in the long run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
