**What do you like best about Kenko (formerly Bookee)?**

My onboarding handeler. 

I have never written a review about a person at any company before, but after my onboarding experience with Jay, I felt compelled to do so. The level of service and professionalism he provided was beyond exceptional, and I couldn’t let it go unrecognized.

From the very beginning, Jay made what could have been an overwhelming process feel effortless. His patience, understanding, and attention to detail were truly remarkable. He explained every aspect of the onboarding process with such clarity and thoroughness that I never once felt lost or confused. It was evident that he genuinely cared about making sure I had the best experience possible.

What stood out most was his ability to make me feel valued, not just as a customer, but as a person. He took the time to answer all my questions, ensured I felt comfortable at every step, and went above and beyond to make the entire process seamless. I’ve dealt with many customer service experiences in the past, but none have come close to the level of professionalism and care that Jay provided.

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Kenko.

**What problems is Kenko (formerly Bookee) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kenko has completely changed the game for me! Running a Pilates studio comes with so many moving parts—scheduling, client bookings, payments, keeping track of memberships—you name it. Before Kenko, it felt like I was constantly putting out fires, but now? Everything just flows!

The best part? My clients love it. They can easily book classes, manage their memberships, and get reminders, which means fewer no-shows and way less back-and-forth. It makes their experience smoother and more enjoyable, and that makes me happy!

But honestly, what I appreciate the most is how much time it saves me. Instead of drowning in admin work, I can focus on what I actually love, teaching, connecting with my clients, and growing my business. Plus, the reports and insights help me make smarter decisions without the guesswork.

I didn’t realize how much I needed something like Kenko until I started using it, and now I can’t imagine running my studio without it. It’s been an absolute lifesaver!

They use deceptive business practices!  We were with them less than a month before we realized they werent what was advertised.  The software is glitchy, they state one thing on the terms and conditions, but dont sticj to them, they just erase the verbiage and replace it.  Mind Body, or Teamsnap are better options.  The features are overwhwelming, and they push marketing features that will turn away clientele.

They didnt solve any problems.  We realized the platform wasnt for us, didnt trust the payment platform, and tried to get out.  We were charged 3k fo the year.

The UI takes time to load very frequently even you have a 200Mbps+ connection. Also, sometimes it creates multiple entries of a member which makes hard for us while keeping track of things.

Customer service is generally pretty responsive. Fairly easy to use and set up once you know how to. Probably more ideal for smaller and simpler businesses.

**What do you dislike about Kenko (formerly Bookee)?**

Lots of bugs. We are constantly having to record and report bugs that have caused many disruptions in our workflows. Also, the system is just not super advanced, for example for more complex notification systems, monthly calendar views, customizable service options, etc.

The Client Facing App is sleek and easy, a complete upgrade from our last software. Some other highlights for our company are the ability to send the entire class a text or email update with the click of a button, and the simple zoom integration for virtual classes.

**What do you dislike about Kenko (formerly Bookee)?**

Although we have found a few downsides, the company is very communicative and working hard to keep the software growing and troubleshoot with their clients. None of the hiccups we encountered were a reason to leave the software. The only thing we have left on our list is that instructors can not check products (t-shirts, ect) out within the staff app.

Bookee is online all the time to help clients with troubleshooting and suggested edits for new versions of their software. I have been with them for 6 months and already experienced 2 or 3 big rollouts that made the software a standout choice for fitness businesses.

**What do you like best about Kenko (formerly Bookee)?**

Bookee is easy to use and is very user-friendly. It is easy to see how many people are booked into our classes, and is easy to add more/remove classes.

**What do you dislike about Kenko (formerly Bookee)?**

Some features of bookee are not as easy to control. First, we are unable to find a way to notify clients when they come off the waitlist for a class, meaning that they are sometimes charged a missed class cost. Also, even though we have removed practitioners from the system and change the teachers of a class, they still remain as the practitioner no matter how many times we aim to change it. It is also annoying that we are unable to access bookee from browsers on our phones.

Solving accessing bookee on a mobile browser would be very benefitial for our practitioners during their classes.

**What do you like best about Kenko (formerly Bookee)?**

What I like most about Bookee is how easy and user-friendly the interface is on the studio management side of the platform (the back end) as well as how easy it is to use on the customer side (the front end).  There are a couple of other great things about Bookee that I'm really happy about: problems are few and far between, and the service and tech team's response time - and in turn, resolution time - is really quick when there is an issue. Another really good thing is that the integration with other applications, such as Zoom and Mailchimp, is seamless.

**What do you dislike about Kenko (formerly Bookee)?**

A downside that comes to mind is that people are creatures of habit. Many people are accustomed to going onto a studio's schedule, selecting the class they want to take, then creating their new account, buying their first single class or class pack, and then being booked into the class. Having to buy their class credit first and then book the class they want to take is counter to their habit. For a few people, this difference stumps them and they find themselves not booked for the class they want to take.  The Bookee way of "buy first, then book" is totally logical but it can be frustrating to have to explain this to people if and when they ignore the instructions.  But, once they get it, they get it.  
A couple of other downsides: the gift card process could be more straightforward and smoother, and the timing for resuming memberships and corresponding monthly payments could be more precise and intuitive.

Since we launched our collective using Bookee, we didn't switch from another system that was problematic.  We've built our business from day one on Bookee.

I appreciate the categories I can book through Bookee (in my business' case, series, classes, etc.) and that I can go months ahead of time at any of the studios we teach at.

Without fault to the company, Bookee isn't commonly used by others, so asking them to download an additional app can be tough. Occasionally the app will crash on me as well, which can be frustrating.

I'm not sure what problems Bookee is solving... But I trust that they're working on any bugs that may come up.

I talked to all the other guys to compare. Bookee creators made the app for ME, or at least it feels like they are just there for me and what I need.

There have been a few calendar issues I needed to figure out but they always helped me.  I have no complaints.

They are solving the overpriced market in yoga software and also point of sale and booking appointments and OD video library.  They do everything I need.

The straightforward, intuitive backend (CRM) made our complex business model easy to implement with little explanation. Any issues or questions we had were quickly addressed by their knowledgeable, proactive support staff.

**What do you dislike about Kenko (formerly Bookee)?**

The frontend UX could use some updating to make it more in line with the design quality of the CRM, and more customization options for the design of the calendar would make this product a 10/10. That said, they are constantly adding new updates and features. Looking forward to using this product for years to come!

Any developer knows that calendar integrations are highly complex, especially ones where client scheduling is necessary for the day-to-day functioning of the business—multiple booking times, notifications, availability, and scheduling conflicts. Bookee simplifies all these functions with an intuitive backend that integrates with our website via a single embed and line of code. Native Zoom and Google Calendar integrations allow our staff to manage their schedule of classes as well as irregular client appointments.

Easy to navigate class offerings, switch between studios, and sign up; from the instructor's end, it's also easy to check students in and see whether they have any flags that need extra attention

I've had many experiences where the app mysteriously crashes or takes a long time to load before ultimately crashing. It's also sometimes challenging to get the instructor/class filters to apply after tapping the button.

Checking in students and seeing who is signed up for classes in advance is really easy. I also love that it's easy to use as both an instructor as a student (which is extra helpful, as someone who fits both roles!).

the customer experience is great. Everything is neat, nice looking and customer friendly. 
As a user, it is also impressive and above all, their customer support is amazing.

There are still a few things in development that we are missing notably in terms of business tracking reports. We are also looking forward their upcoming integrated CRM platform.

The client view is nice. The app looks good and is pretty self-explanatory.

After a year, we still have not graduated to a calendar view on the CRM side where the classes are in room columns, like our previous calendar view in MindBody.

I will say that Bookee does respond quickly when we have an issue arise and I do appreciate that. I cannot say that my work is more productive since switching from MindBody, due to the amount of hiccups we have run into with Bookee along the way.

Initially, I had some glitches but Bookee personnel worked hard to address them.   The software is also continually improving and adding more features.

N/A - i found mindbody to be easier to navigate after using both systems

You're not able to easily search for a student's history from the app or click into a students "profile" easily (at least from what I can tell). Also, seems like all purchases for retail goods have to be done on desktop versus through the app which isn't ideal.

Upsides are they are always improving and finding ways to improve their systems. They listen to different features that would be helpful for our day to day process and always aim to better their application

Sometimes we need certain features that would help our day-to-day go a little easier and the features are not there so have to work around a couple of things to ensure keeping track of it all.

Making features more streamlined such as payment method, adding in capabilities such as the texting clients, information to store,Adding in areas to do notes within events or sessions etc

Bookee is easy to integrate and affordable. If there is ever a feature you need, they are extremely receptive to your needs and suggestions. Unlike any other.

The biggest downside is that Bookee is new and a lot of features still need to be developed, but at the same time we love watching them grow and get better.
