Is Kahua free, or does it offer a free trial?

Who is Kahua pricing best suited for?

Kahua's pricing is best suited for mid-market to enterprise organizations managing complex, multi-stakeholder construction or capital programs. G2 reviewers from enterprise and mid-market segments across construction, consulting, civil engineering, education, healthcare, and government administration represent the core adopter base. Owner-operators, program managers, and consultants managing multiple project types, PSCs, or large document workflows extract the most value. G2 reviews of Kahua indicate small businesses also adopt it, particularly construction consultants leveraging its PaaS flexibility for client engagements. Budget-constrained public sector organizations or small teams with simple project needs may find Kahua's custom-quote pricing model difficult to justify against lighter-weight alternatives.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Kahua?

Kahua offers no free tier. According to G2's pricing data for Kahua, the pricing of Kahua is structured around custom enterprise quotes, meaning there is no publicly listed entry-level or self-serve plan. Prospective buyers must engage Kahua's sales team directly to obtain pricing. G2 reviewers note that one mid-market prospect in higher education was still evaluating Kahua as a prospective customer, and a small-business reviewer in program development flagged a wait period before gaining access — suggesting onboarding is gated rather than instant. Organizations cannot trial Kahua independently at a low or no cost; access is controlled through a vendor-led procurement and implementation process.

Is Kahua considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers give Kahua strong ratings overall, with most reviews landing at 4.0–5.0/5, signaling solid satisfaction relative to cost. That said, Kahua's pricing draws explicit concern from budget-constrained buyers: one mid-market reviewer in higher education flags that upfront and annual costs are challenging for public organizations, and an enterprise reviewer notes pricing may feel steep for smaller teams. Despite this, high-rating reviewers consistently cite Kahua's PaaS flexibility, K-builder customization, and construction-specific depth as justifying the investment. G2 reviews of Kahua suggest it delivers premium value for organizations with complex, multi-stakeholder construction programs — but may be a harder sell for cost-sensitive public sector or smaller buyers.

What do you like best about Kahua?

The interface is user friendly and intuitive that makes it easy for both seasoned professionals and new users to navigate the platform. Since it is cloud-based, Kahua allows users to access project information from anywhere, which is particularly useful for teams working across multiple locations.

The dashboards are well-organized, allowing us to have quick access to critical project information. There are also detailed reports and analytics, which are invaluable for tracking project progress, identifying bottlenecks, and making data-driven decisions.

One of Kahua’s standout features is its ability to adapt to unique project needs. The customizable workflows and forms ensure that teams can tailor the software to their specific processes. Also, the platform excels in fostering collaboration among stakeholders. Features like document sharing, real-time updates, and communication tools help keep everyone on the same page. What do you dislike about Kahua?

While the interface is user-friendly, some advanced features may require training or time to master, especially for users unfamiliar with construction management software. Also depending on the size of your organization, the pricing structure may feel steep for smaller teams or companies with limited budgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Project Management with Kahua, Needs Workflow Intuition"
4/5
What do you like best about Kahua?

I really like how Kahua has significantly improved our project management processes by solving crucial issues we faced with multiple PSCs on the same project. Previously, we had to create separate projects to accommodate extra PSCs, but Kahua allows us to manage multiple PSCs within a single project effectively. This feature eliminates the cumbersome workaround we had to use before. Kahua also reduces our workload by streamlining processes, such as avoiding double entry in both project management and financial management systems. Its ability to accommodate different project types and workflows is incredibly beneficial for our operations, particularly because we manage more than four common project types seamlessly. Kahua's flexibility in accommodating our various project workflows is impressive. A specific feature that stands out is the e-sign functionality, which streamlines the signature process for change orders and eliminates the time-consuming task of back-and-forth emailing for signatures. This has notably enhanced our efficiency. The introduction of AI capabilities that facilitate quick, easy app creation and customization is also something I highly value. These powerful tools make my work more flexible and dynamic, allowing for a much more streamlined and customized project management experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Kahua?

I would make Kahua more intuitive. I find the workflows could be improved, especially where there are review and approval workflows. There’s a task in between because many customers don’t realize that once the review is done, they need to go back in and send it for approval. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
