"Jda"

What do you like best?

JDA is useful for keeping track of inventory of multiple things at once. (Product, trailers, jockey moves)

What do you dislike?

Sometimes had has system glitches that are very inconvenient.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

The simple is very simple to use. I have only used it for warehousing, but I am sure it will be convenient in other areas.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use JDA at a Unilever warehouse that I work at. It is easy to keep track of the product, where the trailers are parked, and what trailers are being moved

"JDA is an easy to use and reliable software"

What do you like best?

It's easy to use once you get the hang of it and it is very reliable and easy to access.

What do you dislike?

The user interface is kind of intimidating at first. Especially for those who are new to the industry.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

JDA is a very useful tool to help you build your retail company. It eliminates all the manual work when it comes to inventory management (from start to finish). You can see everything from the software. It also easily connects to the POS system so there will be no lags during operations. Also, the software updates realtime.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

In our store, we use it mainly for Inventory management and concessionnaire charging.

What Demand Planning solution do you use?

Thanks for letting us know!

"Good software, can be gimmicky"

What do you like best?

The best thing about the JDA software is the 3D capabilities and graphics. With the newest update you can work in projects, amongst different categories, and still be able to save. The graphics are spot on and you are able to customize the software to your personal likings/settings.

What do you dislike?

JDA can be gimmicky. If you aren't careful with your settings, you can really mess things up. And once you mess things up, it's hard to get back to the original starting point.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Assortment optimization. Planogram generator is definitely improved on the new system and helps with picking the correct assortments for stores.

"Somewhat scientific approach to inventory management"

What do you like best?

How it implemented the inventory management formulas and supply chain structures in a relatively large scale.

Took a scientific approach to recommend inventory for our highly complex supply chain.

What do you dislike?

The UI was not very responsive and not very user friendly for a company with 9000+ parts to review/optimize for.

Lack of sensitivity analysis capability for raw material supply lead times.

No time-phased BOM/RTG options.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It would work better for a shorter, more horizontal supply chain (as opposed to one with 90 days of lead time and 4 intermediate product types).

Our biggest business problem was not warehouse optimization, which personally I think was Inventory Optimizer's strong suit.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Optimizing for inventory: what's the right thing to carry and how much.

Reduced manual work by quite a bit; no more "This number just feels right".

"Great Software"

What do you like best?

This software is great to serve basic inventory optimization needs. It integrates well with existing system and allows for robust functionality ranging from custom parameter setting and scenario planning.

What do you dislike?

While this platform is great for for adapting to unique business needs, the reporting capabilities are lacking.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

My company has seen much better control and visibility to our owned inventory thanks to this software solution. This has also helped us to more closely manage inventory near year end to meet or exceed inventory budget targets.

"Used G2 to search for several software, esp. for the B2B procurement- / purchasing-/ supply chain pr"

What do you like best?

- initial overview over several solutions and provider;

- possibility to have a very first information about important criteria for products / solutions

- get a pre-selection of possible solutions for my requirements

- don't have to visit several homepages or other information platforms

- getting an insight very short termed;

- less effort and time to get valuable information about potential solutions and product

What do you dislike?

- only few criteria to compare listed solutions

- too expensive for a small company

- some features not required by every company

- some features can be handled better by "standard" office tools

- "stand-alone" tool makes the use and the value added less in comparison to complete ERP-tools with integrated inventory optimization functionalities such as for example SAP, Ariba, oracle, IBM Emptoris supply chain process and purchasing solution, etc.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

- need to consider the strategy and future development of the company

- software is too overloaded with content that is not required by all users

- assessment- and evaluation functionality needs to be extended and improved to increase the added value compared to the time and effort for the use of the tool

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

- optimization of the supply chain;

- quicker process-flow

- consolidate information

"Not the most intuitive, but gets the job done"

What do you like best?

The software runs quickly because of the older interface, but that's also it's worst quality!

What do you dislike?

Antiquated interface/OS, the keystrokes aren't very intuitive compared to other apps.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Cross-company inventory levels, however I wish it were more real time! Our company's version can take a day to update

"My team uses it for Supply Planning"

What do you like best?

Breadth of information and forecasting accuracy

What do you dislike?

User interface and complex process of generating reports

Build a forecasting culture around the software. Simply implementing JDA IO and flipping the switch will not transform your company into the entity that it needs to be in order to fully benefit from this product.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Inventory investment optimization. Have achieved noticeably better inventory turns.
