Jamf School has completely changed how we manage our iPads across campus. As a K–8 school with a mix of shared and 1:1 iPads, we needed something that could handle deployments, app management, restrictions, and updates—without eating up our entire day.
What I appreciate most about Jamf School is how intuitive it is. The interface is clean, and even our non-technical staff can pick up the basics quickly. Whether it’s pushing apps, configuring Wi-Fi settings, or setting restrictions for younger grades, it’s all point-and-click and doesn’t require scripting or a steep learning curve.
The classroom tools have been a great bonus. Teachers can see what students are doing on their iPads, lock them into a specific app, or send a message—without having to call IT every time there’s an issue. It’s given teachers a sense of control, and it's made classroom iPad use more effective and less distracting.
We also like how Jamf School separates students, staff, and devices into smart groups. This lets us easily apply different rules or apps depending on grade level or user role. The integration with Apple School Manager works well too—we can assign devices and apps quickly, and the syncing is reliable.
Pros:
Very user-friendly interface
Granular control of restrictions and settings
Classroom tools empower teachers
Strong Apple School Manager integration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
App deployment can be a little slow at times
Limited advanced automation compared to Jamf Pro
Cost can add up with larger device counts
For schools focused on iPads and Apple devices, Jamf School strikes the right balance between powerful features and ease of use. It’s made our tech program more scalable and much easier to support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
