# Which screen and video capture platform provides analytics on video engagement?

Beyond just recording, I’d like to know who watched, for how long, and where they dropped off, especially for training or onboarding content.

Here are a few that came up in my search:

I have used Loom’s analytics a bit, and they’re great for quick insights, like who watched and how far they got. It works fine for basic tracking, but it’s not super deep. For training or onboarding, I found it helpful, just not enough on its own.

### Comment 2

Zoom works well for live sessions, but I would not rely on it as much for recorded content analytics. You still get attendance and duration data, but not the kind of detail that helps you understand engagement more deeply, like drop-off points or which parts held attention. Hope this helps!

I’ve found that built-in analytics in most of these tools are great for quick visibility, but they often don’t provide the full picture. For more comprehensive insights, it's better to export the data into BI tools, though that adds complexity. In my experience, it’s only worth the effort when I’m tracking engagement across multiple videos or teams.

Has anyone tried exporting Loom or Vidcast data into a BI tool for deeper analysis? Curious if that’s practical or too messy.
