## Kami Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Curriculum Integration with Kami

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mel M. | CA Dept. of Real Estate Salesperson, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami is easy to use and implement in my curriculum development. I use it at least once a week and I appreciate that I can split documents and then download a new version. It is beneficial to my classroom because I can integrate information that I personally select.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

The only downside is the difficult when a person wants to blend two different documents into one document on the site.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami allows me to use specific pages from a document instead of using an entire document. This helps me limit the amount of reading my students are required to do during a specific time period.

  ### 2. Easy Document Creation, Editing, and Sharing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I like the ability to create, modify, edit, split and share documents.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Sometimes it is difficult to merge different documents, especially if the user only has the free version.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami allows me to modify documents so that I can individualize instructional materials for students.

  ### 3. A strong, lightweight contender

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Kami?**

It opens quickly, is lightweight, and offers impressive power. Integration is also straightforward and seamless.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

The UI isn't the fanciest you'll see, although it gets the job done.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami allowed us to move away from complicated and costly PDF editing tools by providing intuitive and accessible software that students can use to easily edit and fill out PDFs. Additionally, it offers near seamless integration with our LMS, making it even more convenient.

  ### 4. We Review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Delia R. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Kami?**

It is easy to add notes and comments and to use all the toolbox features.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

When I have shared the link to a Kami document, others have trouble accessing it.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me to edit PDFs more easily for the person who sent the document to me.

  ### 5. Kami is Irreplaceable!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessie N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I am currently working as a TOSA (teacher on special assignment) to coach and support technology integration at the secondary level throughout our district. Kami is undoubtedly our go-to tool for professional development, as it's the delivery method of our monthly challenges.

In the classroom, Kami integrated seamlessly with Google Classroom and Canvas, our LMS, and Google Workspace with the Open with Kami button throughout. You can also find this button in Canva, which is wildly helpful.

I support teachers who use Kami daily, and even our data suggests that it has the HIGHEST use of any of our premium apps throughout the district. It is used in our Dual Language classes to support Spanish language students with its translation of menu and interface, Multilingual Student Dictionary, and Read Aloud in Spanish. Our math teachers use the built-in supports for students with virtual rulers, compasses, and protractors. All students are issued a touchscreen Chromebook with a stylus, and this allows students to draw and write their answers.

Moreso, students have access to scaffolded supports. Kami supports our IEPs for students with the ability to add audio comments, text-to-speech, speech-to-text, video comments, and Dyslexic fonts. Videos also generate captions for students in real time. Teachers can leave audio comments as repeatable directions for students or leave video comments for our deaf and hard of hearing students and use ASL to translate.

The Feature Controls allow teachers to easily target student learning and support all students with one app! It saves time and creates efficiency patterns for all users.

Integration was as easy as pushing out a Chrome Extension and students and staff log in easily with SSO with Google.

What I love most is their customer support. Teachers can request 15m, 30m, 60m virtual support sessions to freshen up on their skills, learn new features - which Kami releases ALL THE TIME! They are wildly positive people to work with and your best hype team!

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I think Kami is coming along in creating more tiered levels of worksheets and activities in their Kami Library. I would like to see more supports come their way.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami is meeting the needs of all of our students; especially, those students with IEPs or 504s, students in our Dual Language (DL) and Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (DHH) programs, and EL students receiving services and support benefit greatly from Kami. Kami provides a multitude of accommodations, such as voice typing (in over 30 languages!!!) with speech-to-text, audio comments, video comments (with real-time captions), dyslexic fonts, multilingual dictionaries (that read aloud the words, definitions, etc. in English and Spanish. Additionally, Kami's Read Aloud feature reads to all of our students in Spanish, Vietnamese, Japanese, Thai, etc., and can be controlled by pitch and speed.

Moreover, Kami's integrated tools for assessments and grading such as pass-back, grade-by-page, question tool, banked annotations, update work, and more all save teachers time and reduce workload!

  ### 6. Interactive resources!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Betzabé O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Kami?**

My first experiences with Kami were simply being able to edit a PDF file. Then I discovered all the wonderful tools that it offers and was able to transform many of the resources I had into interactive resources for my students. That is why I shared it with the teachers. So that they could also try it. And what I really love about Kami is that it is very user friendly and has many multimedia elements that help engaging students.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Kami has improved so much over the years that I can't really think of anything that I least like about it. Little by little they have been adding new features that were on my wish list and up to now I am very satisfied with the product.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami was designed for teaching and learning experiences. I have used it in the classroom in both distance and on-site learning love the versatility of the tools that it integrates helping teachers enrich the experience for the students.
A major situation that Kami helps solve is the fact that they can reduce the number of copies. Requested by teachers and it encourages them to transform their resources into interactive ones.

  ### 7. The best tool for UDL and classroom use at any level!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Crystal B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Kami?**

As a Kami user for over 5 years now, I've witnessed the evolution of this tool. The initial draw to use it was becasue of it's robust ability to provide accessibility to all learners. I've worked with students from 2nd to 8th grade, and Kami was always my go-to tool when needing to share assignments for students to complete.

Their seamless integration with Google Classroom for both student use and teacher grading capabilities, it simply can't be beat! Did you know you can even disable tools from being used when assigning an activity (maybe students just don't need to be overwhelmed by all the tools offered; some might not be needed; some might hinder ability to see what student's know; etc.). Assigning a task to Google Classroom is super easy and can be done either right from Kami, or through Google Classroom.

Kami is also my favorite virtual whiteboard. The tools are perfect for use with touchscreen projection, and they save directly to my Google Drive!

My favorite tool - Spilt and Merge. This tool is a godsend! Being able to manipulate large files and make them into smaller, more managable ones, saves me so much time. I can even delete pages I won't need or use without making permanent changes to the original file!

With Kami, I'll never need to print a paper copy of a work assignment again (if I don't want to)!

If I ever encounter issues, their customer service team responds quickly to my request and sees the task through. I have yet to have an interaction with any member of their team that wasn't kind, curtious, and sympathetic to my needs.

I simply cannot praise this tool, and company, more!

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

There have been a few instances of markup changes not being saved. However, I later discovered it was user error/poor internet connections. If students are quick to close their tab/device after making edits, they could cause sync to malfunction. Always be sure to have students check that disk icon, or "SAVE" feature, to ensure changes are saved!

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami is saving me for making a bunch of photocopies of assignments, as well as providing accessibility features to all students. It also creates a fun and engaging way to interact with learning!

  ### 8. Kami: The Best Teacher Tool. Period.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tara K. T. | Educator at Prosper ISD and Creator of TeensMAD4Rwanda, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

This is funny... There's absolutely nothing.... Kami is magic.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami is the instructional tool every single teacher that teaches in the universe needs to engage their students to produce the academic outcomes they desire.

  ### 9. Kami Is an Obvious Choice for K-12 Education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mandy L. | Technology Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami not only allows you to interact with a PDF document, it also connects to products like Google Classroom, Schoology and Canvas allowing teachers to easily have their students access, complete and submit assignments. Kami also has templates to help teachers supplement their lessons. In addition, our district uses Kami on the administrative side of the business for filling out and signing forms that were previously paper-based. The files save directlyt to Google Drive and can easily be shared.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

There is not much to dislike about Kami, but a desired feature would be the ability to have an approval routing system for forms and documents that would help tremendously. Also the ability to create a form inside of Kami would be an excellent feature.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our district has moved to blended learning and we utilize Google Classroom in elementary and Canvas in our secondary schools. We are transitioning to Schoology for elementary and the versatility of using Kami for students to complete worksheets in an easy format that connects to lessons for teachers has allowed our district to move towards a more paperless district. Kami is as essential to the blended classroom as paper and pencils are in a traditional classroom.

  ### 10. Functional but not perfect

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meri B. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami is very easy to figure out and has many features that make the experience worth it (ex. text recognition and google drive uploading).

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

It occasionally is incredibly laggy and almost unfunctionable.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami is helping me annotate documents

  ### 11. Fantastic EdTech Tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami is an incredible accessibility tool. I work with high school students and Kami is easy and intuitive for my students to use. It give them control over their learning without needing tons of settings adjusted. I use it regularly because it is compatible with pretty much anything I am doing online with my students.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I use the free version. My school is unable to pay for the premium.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessibility tools at my students' fingertips.

  ### 12. Making Graduate School So Much Better

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daisy P. | Graduate Research Fellow, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Kami?**

As a student, I often need to engage with the material I am reading in order to truly understand it and apply to my other classes, research project, career interests, and personal life. Kami steamlines that process and makes it super easy.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I dislike that there is no true dark mode and lack of an inverted contrast option. Reading on a white page at night hurts your eyes over time no matter how low the brightness is. I've had to use a different Chrome extension to help my eyes out.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami is making it easy to edit, engage with, and personalize the documents that I work with in everyday life. It allows me to not have to open up a separate app and instead makes it easy for me to organize my files on Google Drive---no other apps, no saving to my computer and then uploading elsewhere, just easy.

  ### 13. Kami is an Excellent Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I really love the versatility that Kami provides. You can edit, add, merge, highlight... PDFs, it will even read to you! It is a great tool for students to use, especially students with learning difficulties.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I don't like that it costs so much money. $100 for an individual teacher subscription is way too much for a teacher to need to pay out of pocket. My district doesn't provide it and once my 90 day trial is up, I probably will have to find something else.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami is solving a big problem of lack of a printer. It allows students to do their work online instead of needing to print out worksheets to complete.

  ### 14. Kami works with All Programs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon Marie R. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Kami?**

The most helpful thing with Kami is that it link with Google Drive and you are able to upload your documents from Google. The other upside is that it allows students to write, highlight and take notes as if they have a hard copy of the document with them.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

There are really no downsides to Kami. It is everything a teacher could ask for.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami is solving the problem of not being able to print. It allows you to upload documents and write on it as well as the teacher you can add notes to it, highlight and write as well.

  ### 15. Amazing product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leah B. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I love that I am able to upload a document and my student is able to annotate rather than write on paper.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I wish there was a way that I could delete some pages from a document that I pull over from somewhere else.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are solving the fact that my students don't need to write down the information. They are able to work together in the document with me.

  ### 16. Kami--PDF made easy

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami allows you to highlight and write. When an original needs editing, it allows the original content to be covered with shapes of space. It offers more than its competitors.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

It can be a little difficult to figure out at first. Sometimes it's hard to find a saved file. Sometimes students are unable to edit. I'm not sure how to improve this.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami integrates with Canvas, and that benefits students and teachers and all who work with both. It does allow more production in the classroom. The read-aloud option helps students with those accommodations.

  ### 17. Kami is so helpful!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal W. | First Grade Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I can edit PDF’s easily. Way easier than with other programs! I love that I can add text boxes to type/add what I need into the document.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Nothing. It works great. Way better than other programs. I don’t have to screenshot a PDF document and edit it on PowerPoint by adding the photo and adding a text box. I can edit right on the PDF easily with Kami.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

I think it’s a great tool to use if you need to edit PDF’s and change PDF’s to work for your class as a teacher. I wish that I didn't have to add a text box. I wish that it could recognize where text would go in the document automatically so that I could just click and add what I need.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can change PDF worksheets to be something my kids can use. I can change it to make it match what I’m teaching or make it more on my student’s level. I wish it would recognize where text should go and be a little easier to add text without adding a text box.

  ### 18. Decent for Annotations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cindy M. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami has a lot of the same tools offered by Windows, such as comment, markup, text box, so it works for me as a reasonable replacement. I haven't used any Windows programs in so long; I can't even recall if there are any differences.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Some tools are pay only, such as adding a signature or attaching media. I sometimes use a converting app as a workaround. Other than that, it has everything I need.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami has helped get things done without a Windows subscription. Using Kami may be one of the money-saving changes we've implemented that becomes permanent. I also like that I am not required to use all Windows.

  ### 19. Great for editing PDFs- can be overwhelming with features

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelsey G. | Speech and language pathologist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

The thing I like the most about Kami is the ability to edit PDFs. I have a lot of educational resources that are PDFs and for years I would struggle to figure out how to modify or change them based on the needs of my students. This is easy to do with Kami!

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Something that I dislike about Kami is that it can be overwhelming to use at first. It has a lot of features, and it takes quite awhile to feel fluent in using them. When I first started using Kami, I found myself getting frustrated and connecting with the support team more often than I liked.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A problem that I am solving with Kami is being able to edit static PDFs to suit the needs of my students. I am also able to integrate other apps that I already use within Kami's platform, but it just takes some time to figure it out.

  ### 20. Great PDF annotator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer M. | Technology Integration Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

The split and merge feature allows you to combine or break up PDFs and separate out the important stuff.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

The free version of Kami has limited features and they keep trimming them back.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

Ask for a trial premium version so you can compare free to premium and see the benefits of upgrading

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were a SMART Notebook school until our boards started to go and we don't have to money to replace them. Being able to print SMART docs to pdf and open them in Kami has been a great resource.

  ### 21. Paperless program that saves time!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I like that this works well with laptops and chrome books. It's easy to edit documents and to make notations. I use this to easily make edits to PDFs. Kami is a great alternative to other competitors.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Kami has limited use on mobile devices compared to other programs, it's much more user-friendly using it on the computer. The features that Kami has are good but it does require some practice.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

Kami is in efficient program and great for lesson planning and promoting productivity. Would recommend this program to educators.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami allows you to change and edit PDF in one area, it makes projects move faster thus saving money and being able to move on to other projects. Kami is very collaborative making communication easy between users.

  ### 22. Great product for students.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiara M. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

It's easy to navigate and the students prefer it over using the math program. Students are able to write and draw on pdf assignments easier than ever.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I have not come across any thing that I dislike about this product. It is easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

If you are looking for an easier way for students to complete assignements digitally, this is the program for you.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With remote learning this makes it easier for students to complete pdf assignments. The program is easy to navigate even for the one that isnt very tech savvy.

  ### 23. PDF Editing for Students

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Spencer B. | Teacher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

What I find most helpful about Kami is that it allows my students to edit PDF worksheets.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I have yet to find a downside of using Kami.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The big problem that I'm solving with Kami is giving my students worksheets that they can complete solely on their laptops. With the COVID pandemic still going on, I have a few students every week that are at home quarantining. Kami allows me to give them virtual versions of the paper worksheets that their classmates are completing so that they all stay on the same page.

  ### 24. Kami Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Kami?**

That my students can write on the page and turn in their work. I also like that I can see what my students are doing.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

There are a lot of issues with Kami sometimes. It sometimes does not work thoroughly.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Students not being able to complete worksheets at home.

  ### 25. Kami gets an A+ for annotating!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Students can annotate on almost any document. Not only can they annotate but they can also select colors, shapes, and text sizes. School-wide licenses make installation a breeze!

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Teachers may need professional development when using this program. However, students seem to learn it with no problems!

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves all files in the Google cloud as they are uploaded. It's a great option for those teachers who have paperless classrooms!

  ### 26. Kami makes editing PDFs online very simple.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami allows me to edit PDFs online without having to print documents and rescan. At times having to edit online using a stylus pen can look unprofessional, so having this option allows me to edit my documents with a clean typing feature, which looks much more professional when sending documents out.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

At times saving an original document with edits makes it challenging to re-edit. Pulling up documents at times can be a challenge, so being sure that you are organized is very important.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

Organize original documents in one location so you can make a copy before editing.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One problem I am solving is not having to use a stylus pen, which can be messy. Another problem that I'm solving is that I am saving from printing, editing, scanning.

  ### 27. Kami Offers Many Options

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami is helpful to edit and annotate on any variety of documents including PDFs. You can add signatures, drawings, text, and any other variety of items you need. You can download again as a PDF to save, send, or print.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

There are no downsides to Kami. It is a helpful tool around.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

Jump right in! Kami is user friendly and easy to both use and share. Once you get started, you'll see that you have many options for how to use it.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami allows me to share digital documents with colleagues, students, and families to be able to allow edits and suggestions. Others can easily complete any digital forms and documents using Kami.

  ### 28. A real job-saver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neal C. | Adjunct Business Statistics Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

The flexibility of Kami is great! I am able to use it through my desktop, laptop, iPad, Chromebook, classroom projector, everything. And the documents move from one to the other easily!

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

The erase feature! I really wish it could erase a bit without deleting the entire thing.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the problem of not having an interactive whiteboard software built into the devices that are in the classrooms.

  ### 29. Functional and straight to the point

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** María Luján S. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

The most helpful thing about Kami is that you can use it online, and you don't have to download any heavy software.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I'm not too fond of the fact that you can't choose a part of the pdf and edit it (like Illustrator), but only edit on it.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

I recommend you to use it as a backup for when you cannot pay for a better one, tbh.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I save A LOT of time while working because I have to correct tests, and sometimes when I'm using downloaded softwares, it becomes a tedious job.

  ### 30. Kami Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

  ### 31. Not a secure company.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tresa L. | Tech

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Nothing, they do not offer technical support or they tell you its fixed and it has not been.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

They tried to charge us for additional licenses for staff and students that have left and they couldn't figure out why Kami Tech can not remove them. Plus we have it with only people with our domain can get an account but when we log in as an admin we have a bunch of random email account that are not our domain. If they can not secure this what else are they failing at security-wise!

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing, not happy at all.

  ### 32. Kami is Great for Virtual or Paperless Learning!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sera T. | Teacher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I love that Kami allows students to markup, draw, or type onto PDF documents.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I wish there were more options to type mathematical characters.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having students show their work for math assignments while doing virtual learning was really hard until we began using Kami. This solves that problem because students can either type or draw onto the PDF document to show their work/thinking. The benefits are that I've been able to see my students work and help them determine what mistakes they were making even when they were not physically in my classroom.

  ### 33. Helpful Tool When Remote!

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I love how my students and I can interact through this tool. I also love that my worksheets can be turned into online documents easily.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Sometimes the tools can be difficult for my kids to use.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I have students who have to work from home, this allows them to complete activities easily.

  ### 34. Kami is helpful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruth T. | Para-Professional

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I like having the ability to write and draw on the document. I have a special needs student who lacks fine motor skills. Kami has allowed us to do math pages with a graphics pad. I don't know if the teachers or school will purchase it again. It was purchased because of teaching in the pandemic.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

It is not set up to be collaborative. Using it with special needs students it would be nice if their helpers could take over if they get frustrated and help share the job.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami allows my student to learn another way to use technology to help him write better.

  ### 35. Kami makes adjustments easy

**What do you like best about Kami?**

It is easy to save different pages and edit or manipulate documents

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

They text feature is difficult to use and navigate

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to sign documents and only save the pages I need and it can be saved directly in my Google drive

  ### 36. Using Kami for Virtual Student Instruction

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris S. | C, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami is a very simple tool to use. It offers a variety of features to transform a digital file into an interactive learning experience. You can add video posts to the document, annotate in a variety of ways including a selection of different colors, shapes and text sizes.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

The offline mode is very limited. I really wish that Kami had a better offline experience. About the only thing you can do is annotate in offline mode and for those annotations to be saved and sent back to the teacher the student has to come into a wi-fi accessible area. We purchased the product with the intent that students who did not have internet could pick up flash drives with assignments on them during our Covid-19 shutdown do their work with Kami by editing the document and saving the file back to the flash drive. That did not work because the students could not save the edits and upload them back to the flash drive without having the internet.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

IN order to get the most out of the product you really need an internet connection. Without a wi-fi or hard wired connection you are extremely limited as far as the features are concerned.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it in our classroom environments and with students who have internet access at home to edit documents and annotate them.

  ### 37. Must have for Virtual Learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily W. | Informational Technology Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami allows you to easily turn any PDF into an editable document. While working on transitioning to virtual learning, it is important to have some of your "constant go tos" available. You might not have the time to transition or change things to a document or an interactive worksheet.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

It is a little confusing to use at first, but gets much easier over time. Overall, once you get used to it and use it more consistently though it gets much easier. Beyond that, it is definitely the best tool I found for that.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

All teachers should definitely consider trying Kami!

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the constant issue of needing kids to write on a PDF or edit a PDF document for school. This is an easy work around and makes the students working at home so much easier for them. It allows a one stop for them to edit & make changes.

Kami is allowing us to keep Worksheets and allow them to be able to be edited.

  ### 38. Kami as a bridge between paper and digital

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miranda Giselle A. | Instructor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

It makes pen and paper assignments easily digital—everything you could possibly need to have a successful transition from paper to digital.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Sometimes the student's work doesn't save or what they submit to me is different to what's in front of them.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having mainly paper based assignments and needing to make them digital. I is also much easier to grade digital content and much easier to return work to students. No shuffling around of papers.

  ### 39. Great Tool for Online Feedback!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I love being able to give my students handwritten, online feedback and voice overs if needed during virtual instruction!

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Nothing! It works great with Google Suites!

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was having a hard time explaining to students through email/google. The feedback they got from Kami was much more beneficial and students were able to see firsthand using Kami what I needed them to do.

  ### 40. Cut down paper costs like a pro!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabrielle H. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I love that Kami seamlessly allows students to edit and submit PDF documents without having to translate them into a different format. It works well and makes annotating much easier for students as well. I love that I don't have to print 100+ copies of things, but can instead share documents through Kami.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

The formatting of the text boxes is not always the best and sometimes the kids don't enjoy using Kami because of it. I have had issues where Kami doesn't properly save the kids' work, which can be extremely frustrating.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We cut down greatly on paper costs by using Kami. It also allows me to share things with students instantly that are not in the .doc format so that they can use and edit them as well .

  ### 41. Engage Your Students

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Donna K. | ESL/ELA Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami makes it possible to deliver PDF assignments that students can interact with easily. I am able to leave feedback for them in audio, video, or text formats. I also use it to record a copy of the lesson with teacher notes for students who could not finish or missed class.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I have not found a single con to this product.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

Buy the Pro License, you will not regret it!

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many assignment "papers" we would use in a classroom are only in PDF format. I do not need to convert those to use them.
The biggest benefit is my ability to leave recorded lessons using the same PDF my students will need. I can also insert YouTube videos for readings.

  ### 42. Completely destroyed all annotated documents that I exported

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I found Kami easy to use and with a couple of great tools for annotating students work. Initially it seemed like a great add on to mark all manner of online exam papers for KS4 and KS5 (the doc conversion was especially useful as my computer wouldn't normally open, say, .key files)

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

After spending literally 40+ hours painstakingly writing feedback onto each exam file and returning them to my students, I had nothing but complaints.
Students were receiving the incorrect papers but with the correct annotations, and vice versa. Exporting seemed to absolute destroy all the work I'd done.
I triple checked that it wasn't something I'd done, but Kami was not exporting or saving the right files with the right annotations. Wasted my time. Would've been better off printing each paper, writing by hand, and scanning back in - Absolutely furious.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

If you plan to export and share files, don't bother. If you're using just to annotate for your own benefit, it's good.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well I WAS able to give student feedback online but it is rendered useless by the fault export tool

  ### 43. Easy to use by staff and students alike

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mandy M. | Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami works almost seamlessly with our Google suite for my school district. Students can easily open a PDF in Cami, annotate it, and submit it for a grade. My students have very few difficulties using this program, and it is consistently used with minimal glitches.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I wish there were more colors available for more customization options when working.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

Give this one a try! Even when feeling overwhelmed with everything going on in education and all of the new things we are learning and trialing, this has been a breeze to learn.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has been a great tool to have during remote learning. Students easily adapted to this program and use it without incident.

  ### 44. Kami - A great PDF annotator

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rabbi Dov H. | Educational Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

It allows you to annotate a PDF and that it runs smoothly with Google Docs

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Sometimes just have a lot of clicks to get where you want to go.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

If you need to annotate a PDF then Kami is a great tool for the job. It easily integrates with Chrome as an extension, works with Google Classroom for education and works well with Google Drive to seamlessly send the completed file to Drive.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PDF files are not editable or able to be interacted with. Kami allows the uesr to fill out a questionnaire, form or do any other annotations on a PDf and send it easily to Google Drive.

  ### 45. Amazing resource for distance learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I'm fairly new to Kami, but I already love it! I recently count back my printing of classroom materials to save paper and money. So I've been given my classes digital files. However, for a while, I've been needing to find a free software for my students so that they could annotate pdf documents in an easy way. I like Kami's interface. It's straightforward, and once it's added onto the computer through Google Chrome, opening assignments in Kami is a breeze. Now, when the school year starts--whether in person or digital--I can walk students through the process of annotating a text by using Kami in conjunction with a screen recording software. Then, they'll be able to mark up texts on their own and even submit their annotated texts to me as assignments.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

As of now, I don't have much that I dislike because I'm still new to it. However, it's a bummer that the audio/video/screen recording features are available only on the paid version. My school district doesn't have enough money to purchase that. Also, I will admit that Kami takes some time to experiment with, or get used to. There are a good bit of buttons to mess around with.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

If someone is searching for a product that allows easy annotation or editing of pdf documents, Kami is definitely a resource to look into. With it's audio/video/screen recording features, it is a great tool for providing feedback on documents, perhaps providing more of a collaborative edge than shared GoogleDocs.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Kami, I am able to teach students how to annotate digital documents by modeling the process. Gone are the days when one typically annotated on physical copies only. Kami facilitates reading comprehension and demonstration of that comprehension. Unlike what I used to do in the past, I will no longer have to hope that the students fully understand what they read. If I require them to annotate and submit their annotated text, then I'll have a better impression of their level of comprehension.

  ### 46. Kami

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

I like the idea that you can send out a document/PDF to students to work on rather than printing it. This works really well for distance learning. When I used it during the first part of quarantine, I used it as a way to "draw" on student work to make visual corrections like I would in the classroom. It was relatively easy to do that using the tools Kami offers. I also like that there is a "recently opened" list on the homepage of Kami.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I do not like that I cannot advance through student work sequentially like I can on Google Classroom. Rather, I need to go back to Classroom, go to the student document and then open that specific document in Kami. To go to the next student I have to go back to Classroom and export it to Kami again. This makes for extra tabs in my browser and takes extra time. When it's one class it's alright, but if you have 100+ students it is not.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was using it to "draw" on student work to make corrections or show them the same things I would in class and in person.

  ### 47. Very user friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joel K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami is an app that allows users to write or draw on a document. My school uses Kami to allow students to write or draw on digital assignments through Google Classroom. Students can easily open documents with Kami and then annotate using their stylus. Kami allows students to type using a text box, draw free hand, or write with the stylus using a draw - to - text feature. Kami also allows students to adjust their "stroke thickness" and to change the pen color. You can also insert shapes, images, and math symbols.

There are two things I like most about Kami:
First, Kami seamlessly integrates with Google Classroom. As a teacher, I can easily create Kami assignments with documents such as PDFs that will post directly to my Google Classroom. Kami gives you the option to automatically create separate duplicate assignments for each student, or multiple students can work and collaborate on one shared document at the same time.
The second thing I like the most is that Kami saves your progress in real time - whether you click the "save" button or not. This is helpful when students forget to click the "turn-in" button, or if they accidentally close the Kami tab. Their work is automatically saved so they don't have to do the work over again.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I wish Kami would have a better "eraser" feature. I often use Kami to write, draw, or represent math strategies when working with groups of students. Once I am finished with one group of students, another group of students enters. It is difficult to quickly erase everything on the page before the new group of students sees. It would be helpful to have a "clear all" or "erase all" button on the eraser to quickly erase everything on the page. Or, it would be helpful to have a feature similar to SMART boards where you draw an imaginary circle and then touch the center of the circle to erase everything within the circle you drew.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

Kami is so easy to integrate into Google Classroom. Kami is also great because it saves your work in real time - similar to a Google Doc.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami allows my students to draw or annotate their assignments with their stylus.

  ### 48. Kami is not reliable

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami is a very good way of annotating assignments and can be very good at times.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Most of the time, i'll be doing my work, and the page will say an error occurred, and then my progress has been deleted. This has happened to 10-15 pages worth of work in this past quarter of school. If you don't have to, do not use Kami. It is not reliable and will probably end up wasting your time.

**Recommendations to others considering Kami:**

dont use it

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kami has helped me in the past with some assignments, and the ones it doesn't delete look very nice! It gives a quick and easy way to annotate articles, which is really helpful.

  ### 49. From student point of view

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ms B. | teacher

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Kami?**

The assignments show correctly once assigned to student. The student can answer on the worksheet and it reads the assignment for the students.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

Other than the fact that there is no calculator the student can assess , I have not ran into any problems. I have not found any downsides that affect the presentation of the assignment.

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Student math problems are between k and 12 grades.

  ### 50. Kami works great as a PDF Annotator, easy for students to understand

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Kami?**

Kami saves your annotations automatically and allows you to export with annotations or the original document. I love that the premium version also integrates will with Google Classroom.

**What do you dislike about Kami?**

I dislike that so many features are only available in the premium/paid version like adding images and auto-save to Drive

**What problems is Kami solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have the education version (paid) of Kami and it allows teachers to take pdf documents and assign them to students (think engage NY lessons) to write on
