Here's the fuller list:

Upshift: 4.7 stars across 83 reviews, reports success rates over 95%, more than double the stated industry average of 40%, backed by Indeed.com.

Hire with Near: 4.8 stars across 156 reviews, the highest rating here, a dedicated recruiter fills 97% of roles with shortlists delivered in under 5 days.

Amazon Mechanical Turk: 4.1 stars across 30 reviews, built specifically for programmatic access to on-demand human intelligence tasks rather than physical staffing.

Thumbtack: 3.4 stars across 58 reviews, connects to temporary workers for tasks like housekeeping and event services rather than ongoing operational staffing.

Taskrabbit: 2.9 stars across 31 reviews, the lowest rating here, built around one-off task completion rather than sustained operational staffing needs.

Genuinely curious what operations teams running one of these tracks internally: is it the fill rate, the no-show rate, or something else entirely that decides whether they keep using it?

I’d put more weight on the no-show rate than fill rate alone. A provider can technically fill a shift, but if replacements are unreliable or arrive late, operations still absorbs the disruption.
