## Invest for Excel® Reviews
  ### 1. Extremely Powerful Enterprise Level Financial Modelling Suite

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Invest for Excel®?**

We've adopted Invest-for-Excel as our 'go to' solution for any enterprise financial modelling need. As a management consultancy, we are regularly tasked with:
- Valuation opinion generation for existing operating companies, often with both prior year actuals & conservative estimates of future growth. Invest for excel allows us to quickly generate these results and then look at the potential value from a standalone perspective, or from the acquirers perspective. We can add debt schedules, equity takeout scenarios and really develop complex 'what if' scenarios for multiple decision makers to review.
- We like the built in analytical tools, including Monte Carlo, Spider and Tornado analysis. This helps to develop tools for management discussion around profitability, break-even, and product-line specific contributions to net income.
- Debt worksheet is awesome. To build everything yourself that invest-for-excel has standard, would take you quite a bit of time. You could do it, however it would not have the proofing and assurance around error-free calculations that companies really need. The debt / amortization worksheet capability is really something essential that we use for overall debt finance & preferred share calculations. You can setup custom drawdowns, model fees and other costs and make sure these costs and financing cash flows all fold back into the 3-way financial model properly.

**What do you dislike about Invest for Excel®?**

- Like any complex piece of software, there is a learning curve with Invest-for-Excel. It comes with a high quality manual and there are many workshops put on by the team and by other users (such as us!) that help with learning the tool. There is also a great youtube channel with great use cases put on by Jens or Vitaly.
- There's really not much to dislike. Yes, it is old school, it's not cloud-based, it runs on Microsoft windows (we emulate using Mac systems) and yet, we've found that the latest and greatest cloud finance tools are not nearly as robust and mature as this suite. You can pay $500-1000 a month for a SaaS cloud corporate finance competitor and get a vastly less sophisticated, more error-prone tool than Invest-for-Excel.

**What problems is Invest for Excel® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Extremely complex financial models and corporate finance valuations / corporate performance management / FP&A capability.
- Mergers & Acquisition deal analysis.
- Valuations of new enterprises.
- Business plan financials and scenario building.
- High "trust" results with error-free calculations.
- Traditional excel is highly breakable. Because this sofware uses protected worksheets, investors and other users can be confident that any errors are 'user errors' instead of calculation / model errors.
