Pretty much whatever we can dream up can be done through Adaptive. **What do you dislike about Adaptive from Workday?** The system is very complex obviously in order to be so customizable, so there is a pretty significant learning curve in terms of building and maintaining a complex model. **Recommendations to others considering Adaptive from Workday:** If you are doing your budgeting and planning on Excel sheets manually, should be a no-brainer decision to go with Adaptive. **What problems is Adaptive from Workday solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mainly budgeting, planning, at the personnel, headcount, and expense level ### 2. Easy-to-administer planning system, with very robust reporting capabilities. **What do you dislike about Adaptive from Workday?** The system has so many features, it can take a little while to understand what they all do, but relatively speaking, this tool is outstanding. **Recommendations to others considering Adaptive from Workday:** Highly recommend the solution to others. It is one of the best planning and reporting systems available on the market. This cut the budgeting time down for the company and also provided better insights in forecasting for the company as well. **What do you dislike about Adaptive from Workday?** There is not much to dislike about the product. One thing I found was that the colors of the cells are difficult to differentiate for people who are colorblind. **What problems is Adaptive from Workday solving and how is that benefiting you?** Forecasting, budgeting and reporting. Reporting is a breeze with Template and set up sheet. I also like how you can have multiple versions of forecasts and "lock" them so they cannot be edited after a certain point. **What do you dislike about Adaptive from Workday?** I don't have any dislikes, however, I don't use the product as much as some of my colleagues. We use Oracle (our parent company) and Oracle only works on certain versions of Java, and so does Adaptive Planning. Only bad thing is, they work on different versions! The only browser that works for AP is Chrome... **Recommendations to others considering Adaptive from Workday:** Make sure it is compatible with the rest of your company's applications before wasting your time with implementation. ### 9. This review was written entirely without invitation or incentive from G2, a seller, or an affiliate. **Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2013 **What do you like best about Adaptive from Workday?** -Adaptive Planning is easily accessible as it is web browser based, therefore can be accessed anywhere in the world. -A single tool which can be used for company wide budgeting, and can be catered for each company no matter how complex or simple the business model. - Unlike Excel, multiple users can be budgeting and making changes at the same time. - Great support team, who are there to learn your business model and help you through the initial setup, and any further problems you encounter. - The ability to run reports straight from Adaptive Planning into Excel - saves time fiddling with monthly reports in Excel. **What do you dislike about Adaptive from Workday?** - Occasionally speaking, the more local users logged into the tool, the slower it runs. - The formula format it uses are not in line with Excel, which sometimes makes it difficult to do simple calculations. - Does not support double entry accounting. ie. If you put a credit entry into a P&L account, you need to remember to manually put a debit entry into a balance sheet account. **Recommendations to others considering Adaptive from Workday:** Once you are used to using it, you realise the massive benefits this tool has over a standard tool such as Excel. ### 10. It is great that it integrates seamlessly with our finance system - so the data is real time. A key area the finance team of a previous struggled with was rolling forecasts but that is standard functionality in Adaptive. **What do you dislike about Adaptive from Workday?** The minority interest reporting and budgeting capabilities could be better. **Recommendations to others considering Adaptive from Workday:** There is some initial setup required -
