"Instant Load Calculations Supercharge Our Workflow"

What do you like best about HVAKR?

The live updates to the load calculation is very powerful. When troubleshooting the calc and making various changes, the results are available immediately. This is a lot faster than having to make a small change and wait for a report to generate and then chase down what impact the change had to the result. Cycle time reduced! What do you dislike about HVAKR?

A shortfall is that HVAKR doesn't include energy modeling. So if a project requires an annual analysis, we're back to the old software... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HVAKR solving and how is that benefiting you?

HVAKR is solving the problem for quick and accurate load calcs based on 2D takeoff of PDFs. 3D modeling I'm sure is appropriate for larger projects and the promise of a connected BIM model to a load calc software is probably reality in some universe...but in my universe 3D is overkill and the overpromise of BIM has wasted lots of time. Theres a right tool for the job and HVAKR is filling a void in the market place for robust commercial solution based on 2D drawings. AND it makes it a heck of a lot easier to do the takeoff and is a big improvement over manual data entry of areas of building exposure... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Transition with Outstanding Support and User-Friendly Interface"

What do you like best about HVAKR?

Easy to use graphical interface and easy to learn. The support team is incredibly responsive and quick. The best customer support I have received across any platform. This was able to take the place of our old loads software seamlessly and we haven't looked back since. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HVAKR?

This is a great product and there's not much to dislike. One of the few gripes is the excel results exports to .csv files, which then need to be converted to .xlsx to be truly useful. However, this is a necessary evil of cloud computing and large data sets and is industry standard. Great product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HVAKR solving and how is that benefiting you?

HVAKR is doing an excellent job filling the loads modeling and HVAC design gap between the very user un-friendly Trane Trace, and the heavy burden of setting things up in IES VE. The platform is quick, flexible, intuitive, and accurate to do the majority of our loads modeling. What do you like best about HVAKR?

What makes HVAKR such a powerful tool for me is its intuitive interface. Unlike other traditional software workflows that can feel overwhelming and seem to introduce most headaches, HVAKR clearly outlines the impact of each step, variable, and data input in the process. This clarity not only makes the software approachable, but it also gives me greater confidence that my load calculations and duct designs are accurate and code compliant. What do you dislike about HVAKR?

I wish there were at least one tier between Lite and Pro. As a small business owner who is just getting started in HVAC design, Lite is the obvious choice, as I can still produce Load Calcs as my primary service offering. However, I wish there were intermediate features I could access with an intermediate subscription before fully committing to the complete Pro package, including AI capabilities, dry-side design, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My engineering company earns more than yours with HVAKR"

What do you like best about HVAKR?

As a micro engineering firm, I need every tool available to get myself ahead of the competition of larger firms. Having the speed and ease of HVAKR with the next level customer support gives me an insane advantage over my competition. A load calc that would take 12 hours takes me about 3 now.
