Jane AI offers very strong acute care clinical scenarios that are insightful and relevant. However, I felt uncomfortable with the pacing—having all six scenarios condensed into a short time frame made me feel rushed and under significant time pressure. A more spaced-out approach could allow for deeper engagement and critical thinking during each scenario.

Separation from the main HealthStream system creates workflow challenges and makes integration less seamless.

The consultants appeared uneasy navigating the platform, particularly in finding and add the scenarios, instructions, answer sheets, and debriefing guidelines, which made facilitation more difficult.

Scenarios are limited to acute med-surg settings and use only traditional multiple-choice questions, without incorporating NCLEX-style formats (e.g., SATA, prioritization, or case studies).

Since our focus is on training and developing LPN nurses, the current content is not fully aligned with their learning needs. This makes consistent use and proper integration into our curriculum difficult without stronger support from HealthStream.

New graduate nurses have expressed interest in seeing more NCLEX-related resources and scenarios that are directly relevant to their exam prep and real-world practice.

HealthStream JANE AI is a cutting-edge platform designed to streamline healthcare learning. I had the opportunity to explore all the features in depth and incorporate the features into our Graduate Nurse Residency Program. After our Graduate Nurse Residency Program became PTAP accredited, the surveyors mentioned a highlight of our program was the use of HealthStream AI to evaluate and educate our Graduate Nurses.

I love how there are general knowledge and clinical judgement assessments for all new graduates. I also love practice-based specific assessments. We use the assessments to individualize the education for each new grad. We review the results with each new graduate so they can see how they performed in comparison to other new graduates across the nation!

In addition to the actual product, the best aspect is the wonderful humans that support me as I navigate an AI system. I schedule a meeting at the beginning of each new cohort, to ensure the new group is set up for success the following year.

In all honesty, I am still learning the ins and outs of everything Jane has to offer, but overall I loved how it automatically assigns healthstreams that are associated with the topics being questioned. For the open-ended question assessments, it was really mind-blowing to see how well it detected the answers it wanted from the user and mark questions correct/incorrect appropriately. Rather than giving everyone the same HealthStream assignments once a year, they could take an assessment instead and use the module recommendations as their required review instead. I love that Jane tailors the education to teach individual and is able to adapt. There are multiple service line specialty education tracks as well, which is very beneficial in a large facility with a diverse patient population. The opportunity to learn and grow is limitless with Healthstream and Jane AI, as long as the nurse puts true effort into receiving the full benefits of the program. It can seem very overwhelming at first, there is a lot "going on" and many new grads report that they are very overwhelmed with the addition of Jane initially. There are many things that a new nurse is getting used to when they are first on orientation and adding a learning environment like Jane was a little much for some of them. Jane has helped elevate our team by being able to do a consistent assessment of baseline knowledge for all staff and provide professional development that is individualized. We love the ability to have intentional conversations with hires about their knowledge and development. It is easy to use and the customer support has been great. jane AI has a great method to build curriculums tailored to each individual need. It creates a unique approach to ensure the student learns in areas that they are not proficient in. We have enjoyed using this resource with our new Nurse Residency program. Students/Staff are improving knowledge and building critical thinking skills. It's been a great way for them to think about multiple concepts of learning and build reinforced knowledge on key topics.Our registered nurses onboarding with less than a year's experience get the ability to do the HealthStream jane AI and it greatly improves their confidence and reinforces critical thinking skills. Healthstream Jane AI is very thorough when looking at what the knowledge deficits are for individuals. It has great plans to add within healthstream so that the employee can get more information on those topics. The downsides to it I think are that it does take some time to make a plan for each individual. I do wish that Jane could automatically assign the 6 month when an individual scores below benchmark but other than that it is pretty easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
