## HealthEquity Reviews
  ### 1. Fellow HR leaders, Health Equity is not the right choice-

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about HealthEquity?**

The employee side of things is 7/10, since they are dealing with basic functionalities. The app works well, Though all other systems are quite outdated.

**What do you dislike about HealthEquity?**

Employer Services is Extremely unresponsive- weeks go by with repeat follow-up before teams and individuals get back to you. Noticeably very low standard of excellence for their personnel.

Truly every area of their company on the Employer side is messy and disorganized. Just a couple of examples from this week ALONE:

- HE was requiring identity verification for an employee merely because of a Typo in their name in the HE system. Support refused to correct the typo, and instead demanded the employee provide "proof of name change" (marriage certificate, etc.) to correct the typo. I had to escalate the issue multiple times and push continuously before they finally just 'corrected the typo'. This delayed the employee's account setup for over 4 months!

- Health Equity tossed us around for months, trying to get me in touch with the department who grants access to the NDT testing site. This is a system we pay for, and they could not figure out who is in charge of getting us access.

Unfortunately these are not rare types of occurrences, they happen quite frequently. We are switching off of Health Equity in January.

  ### 2. Using through employer.

**Describe the project or task HealthEquity helped with:**

WageWorks has helped me tremendously with keeping track of various expenses throughout the year, including tax information, and various reimbursments that can be done through the HSA.

**What do you like best about HealthEquity?**

Insurance can upload information for you, and everything is listed by date. You also have many options to view information and filter it however you want.

They have recently been acquired by healthequity, which provides a new interface and home screen. It is straightforward to use and navigate. I also enjoy how easy it is to reimburse yourself and even pay the provider directly.

**What do you dislike about HealthEquity?**

Sometimes it can get confusing when you have multiple transactions on one date; sometimes, they duplicate, and you must clip them.

The claims section can also get confusing since it doesn't always line up with your insurance claims, so be careful.

Though it seems all of the information present if accurate, you must be careful to double check and not assume it is.

**Recommendations to others considering HealthEquity:**

I would highly recommend Wageworks for keeping track of HSA payments, reiumbursments, and receipts. It has an easy to use interface, and is easy to navigate and learn quickly.

**What problems is HealthEquity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using it to organize and keep track of our HSA account. I have realized that you can conveniently attach reciepts to your expenses, and it saves me time down the road not having to go back.
I am also able to better keep track of reimbursments, and it is easier to find costs that you might have paid out of pocket that can be reimbursed. Lastly, it allows me to pay the provider and reimburse myself, which is incredibly helpful. However, this can take weeks to process.

  ### 3. Easy to navigate; great customer support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about HealthEquity?**

Very easy to nagivate for those who lack computer literacy, simply select your claim from the dashboard and you'll receivce majoirty of the information you are looking for. If you do run into issues, I find that customer support repplies rather fast and takes time to fully understand your issue before addressing it. Other HSA accounts tend to pass off your inquiry to other parties within the HSA without letting them know what exactly is going on which leads to long leads times to address inquries. Having acitivty from and center as some as you login makes it easy to see what majoirty of people that are loggin in are looking for, because of this I don't have to navigate to different parts of the website to get the information I need.

**What do you dislike about HealthEquity?**

Do wish claims had more details explaing what actually took place during health inquiry. Also wish debating a claim was easier as you trypically have to submit multiple documents often times form different souces which can be rather confusing. Health provides and HSA's don't typically work hand in hand and because of this information that the HSA requires on forms isn't produced by the healthcare provided which leads to lots of phone calls and messages from the patient.

**What problems is HealthEquity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Health Equity solves problems related to payment inquries

  ### 4. HealthEquity Provides the Best HSA Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marshall D. | Transportation Planner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2024

**What do you like best about HealthEquity?**

I really appreciate the investment features of the HealthEquity HSA, as they offer a simple way to grow my savings tax-free. The diverse range of low-cost investment options lets me tailor my portfolio to match my financial goals. It’s reassuring to have tools and resources that make managing my health and retirement savings so convenient and efficient.

**What do you dislike about HealthEquity?**

While the HSA investment features are great, the program fees can add up.

**What problems is HealthEquity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HealthEquity is solving the challenge of saving for healthcare and retirement by combining tax-advantaged accounts with user-friendly investment tools.

  ### 5. Trouble getting a hold of anyone. Takes a while to get reimbursed

**What do you like best about HealthEquity?**

I like that my wife can use the card for medical expenses at the counter

**What do you dislike about HealthEquity?**

It is difficult to get a hold of anyone. If my wife doesn't get her receipts in in time they shut off her card

**What problems is HealthEquity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pay for medical expenses

  ### 6. Human Resource Consultant

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about HealthEquity?**

Health Equity's phone customer service is SUPERB! Anytime that I have had to call and ask questions for my client, they always picked up and were able to wlk me through the process.

**What do you dislike about HealthEquity?**

Health Equity's web page is not the most user friendly however if you get in there and play around with the site it can be easier. You just hav to learn and call to ask questions.

**What problems is HealthEquity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The FSA and Dependent care can be deducted straight from an employee pay check however the commuter benefit does not work the same and can be a bit of a mess if you do not implement a monthly/quarterly upload.

  ### 7. HealthEquity

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about HealthEquity?**

HealthEquity is good at facilitating direct deposit into the HSA account and quickly getting your HSA debit cards sent out. They have good integration with Paychex.

**What do you dislike about HealthEquity?**

HealthEquity's website is very dated and hard to navigate. The fees they charge for various things is insane as well. You can not invest your HSA funds until the account reaches a certain limit.

**What problems is HealthEquity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HealthEquity allows me to invest part of my paycheck into my health savings account and with good integration with Paychex, I'm easily able to adjust that amount at any time.

  ### 8. HealthEquity is the only way to have an HSA

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Branka D. | HR Administration Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about HealthEquity?**

How easy it is to access and administer. The customer service is beyond amazing, especially for employees 24/7.

**What do you dislike about HealthEquity?**

I don't dislike anything about it; it is very user-friendly.

**What problems is HealthEquity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem that we are solving with the HealthEquity is that all of our employees can download an app, or login via the website which makes it so much easier to view their balances, view tax statements etc. The prior Company we used was not user-friendly. We are able to add our Company's bank information so the funds can be easily pulled.
