## GoodUnited Reviews
  ### 1. GoodUnited has changed how we do social media fundraising.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

As a smaller nonprofit, we've struggled with figuring out a way to engage and activate our social community on Facebook. We've got limited resources, so it didn't make sense to have hours of our time dedicated to answering Facebook Messenger DMs... but we knew we wanted to provide a top-notch supporter experience.

There's a lot that GoodUnited has done for us to help us grow - but their Messaging Journeys, specifically, have been the 1 thing that has changed how we fundraise on Facebook.

The abilty to use their platform to setup triggered messaging based on events/time (such as birthday fundraisers, which has NEVER been easy to grow intentionally), it's changed our ablity to not only provide a great experience to all supporters but also allow us to see/track fundraising outcomes tied to our efforts in their platform.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

Nothign to truly complain about - we're excited to continue to get new supporter journeys into our workflow... specifically Memorial Fundaisers and support for Giving Tuesday.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were having issues responding to people messaging into our FB page - GoodUnited helped us get automations in place to help us respond to all our supporters in our brand voice, in a timely fashion, and enabled our team to move faster to provide a leveled up supporter experience across Facebook.

Another big thing we can now do easily - actually see the fundraising dollars and new leads that we're getting directly from Facebook. We export that info into our CRM, so now we have visiblity into not only FB but also our wider fundraising channels.

  ### 2. GoodUnited is Strategic, Responsive, and Mission Focused

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becca L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

GoodUnited listens to their clients, the goals that you have, and how their platform, strategies, and insights can help you achieve success. They take the time to become intimately aware of your organization's brand and mission so that the strategies they propose and recommend are aligned with your audience and reflect your brand and mission. The team is incredibly responsive, making clients aware of any hiccups within the Facebook platform, news or current events that may impact fundraising, and are open about their future developments.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

I have experienced no downsides about working with GoodUnited. I only have positive things to say!

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodUnited is helping my nonprofit reach new audiences and raise additional funds through a new channel. The donations and new constituents we receive from GoodUnited's work through Facebook are additional and are not cannibalizing other revenue programs. We are excited about the future potential of creating relationships with these new audiences and understanding how GoodUnited can help us lean into this channel. Since onboarding GoodUnited, my nonprofit has seen almost 2,000% increase in Facebook revenue.

**Official Response from Adam OBrien:**

> Hey Becca - Thanks so much for taking the time to drop in some of your thoughts and experiences regarding your ongoing partnership with GoodUnited.

Always great to hear we've been hitting the mark so far - but if there's anything that we can do as a team to get better, feel free to shoot that over to my email directly (adam@goodunited.io)

  ### 3. Great Communications and Strategy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claire L. | National Community Philanthropy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

Everyone on team at GoodUnited has been incredibly open, communicative and responsive to needs from our team. Their management on the challenge space with participant inquiry is responsive, strategy planning is in the best interest of the organization to optimize fundraising potential.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

What would be beneficial for the team that works in the challenge groups is to have more situational awareness with participant posts and inquiries. At times, the organization has needed to step in with responses that do not specifically meet the needs of participants.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Facebook challenges - utilizing Messenger to reach participants that have not been identified in Salesforce, communication with participants and optimizing fundraising efforts

**Official Response from Adam OBrien:**

> Hey Claire - Thank you so much for taking some time to review our platform and services. We're honored to be a part of helping your mission continue to make a giant impact in the world.

Regarding your feedback on community engagement - we totally get it and want to make sure our team is doing everything we can to deliver a top-notch experience for you, your team, and your mission's supporters.

If you are open to it, I would love to connect with you and get some additional feedback/specifics on how we can do better on behalf of your nonprofit and how we provide joint service to your supporters.

You can shoot me a quick email here anytime to get that conversation started --> adam@goodunited.io

  ### 4. Amazing Team and Services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 05, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

GoodUnited has some of the best people working with them. They are attentive to your every need, willing to answer any question, and always happy to try new things. They are on the pulse of best practices and will always keep you informed of new opportunities.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

I think the only negative thing about GoodUnited is occasional tech support needs. Sometimes the chat features on Facebook don't always work, and getting a remedy takes time, but I am thankful they've always been responsive and worked as quickly as possible to fix any issue. GoodUnited is also implementing new systems to make this a problem of the past, which is very exciting.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before partnering with GoodUnited, we were unable to connect with our community on Facebook in a meaningful way. We were also unable to contact anyone outside of Facebook. Thanks to all of the work that GoodUnited has done, we are now able to reach out to our Facebook community, export fundraiser and donor data, and offer new opportunities to fundraise on Facebook outside of the typical Birthday fundraiser. GoodUnited has also made it possible for us to see our Facebook data in a more meaningful way, and extract data to better inform us about our community on Facebook so we can better serve them.

**Official Response from Adam OBrien:**

> Hey Tyler - Thanks so much for taking the time to review your experience with GoodUnited. We're thrilled to be able to partner with your mission and provide the tools to help your nonprofit continue to make a lasting impact on social media.

Thank you so much for the feedback on some of the challenges your team has faced when it comes to support. You are spot on in calling out that we're in the process of testing and formalizing a few different support related enhancements, including in-app chat and formal support ticket processes, that should help make the experience for all of our nonprofit partners that much better!

Thanks again for your continued support - If you ever need anything, you can shoot me a direct email at adam@goodunited.io!

  ### 5. We've had a great experience and excited to learn more about the product!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

GoodUnited allows us to be in the drivers seat of our Facebook Fundraising campaigns. We are able to reach and interact with our constiuants in ways that they want to be reached.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

No dislikes at the moment! We are most excited to see how we can utilize features like the data reporting. Looking forward to getting a full picture of the donor experience.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodUnited is allowing us to be intentional with how we obtain, steward and interact with our fundraisers. This allows us to retain fundraisers and grow revenue.

**Official Response from Adam OBrien:**

> Hey Megan - thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with GoodUnited so far.

Looking forward to getting your feedback on the data/reporting aspect of our platform!

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out if I can help you and your team at all in your social media fundraising journey (Adam@goodunited.io)

  ### 6. Great partners!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim B. | Associate Director, Annual Giving , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

Our team loves working with GoodUnited. They are super attentive to us as clients and always come up with great, creative ideas. Our Facebook Challenges program has become such an important channel for us thanks to their help!

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

I don't have much to say about them that is negative -- we are really grateful for their partnership. The only thing that I can think of that I would change is something super specific that we have never actually asked them for!

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have uncovered an entire new group of donors through Facebook Fundraisers, and so far it does not seem to be overlapping much with our existing active donors. This has provided unexpected new revenue, as well as a pool of contacts that we now have the opportunity to steward!

**Official Response from Adam OBrien:**

> Hey Kim - thank you so much for taking the time to leave your review of GoodUnited - Our team is beyond thrilled that we get to come in every day and support your mission and look forward to doing that for years to come!

If you are open to it, I would love to connect with you and get a better understanding of the change you've got in mind - We're always looking for ways to get better and some of our best innovations have come from customer feedback.

You can grab some time on my calendar that works best for you here --> https://meetings.hubspot.com/adam-obrien

Thanks for being a great partner, Kim!

  ### 7. VP Marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

We've struggled with individual giving for a while.

Low and behold, our next donor was always a current follower.

Until GoodUnited, we haven't had an opportunity to monetize the communities we've built.

GoodUnited opens up Facebook as an area of untapped revenue growth for us.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

It was hard to explain the problem and opportunity to our team.

GoodUnited is truly a first-of-its-kind solution and as such, we needed to spend a bit more time truly understanding the capabilities that GoodUnited brings to the table.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodUnited makes it easy to keep people in their preferred channel, today Facebook, and easily ask them to give on a one to many and one to one level.

I'm so thankful for GoodUnited in that it enables us to take control of revenue from Facebook. I'm so tired of not knowing why birthday fundraisers go up or down.

Most importantly, GoodUnited is solving a massive issue in our organization with finding new leads to fuel our existing properties.

  ### 8. Taking the concept of repeat supporters and making it a reality.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

Before GoodUnited, we didn't have a way to understand who our supporter base was, and it was near impossible for us to connect names to donations in an easy, repeatable way.

If you have ever dealt with manually sorting transaction reports from Facebook, you know what I mean.

Once we started working with GoodUnited, we fully realized the untouched goldmine of supporters for our mission that we had spent years building up on Facebook.

We were able to use Messenger to interact with our social community in ways that email was just not cutting it anymore.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

Not really a dislike about GoodUnited, but the nonprofit I support is itching to get into other social media platforms to explore - we understand that it is limited, to a large extent, to the reporting and actual fundraising tools that each platform develops

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are finally able to use Messenger in a way that makes sense for our organization and our supporters.

We're able to reduce the amount of work needed to get up and running within messenger with their supporter journey templates - something that, if we tried to do manually (and have done in the past), would take SO many hours away from our staff.

  ### 9. Innovative Partners with Room to Grow

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

Good United allows us to thank thousands of fundraiser hosts at scale and to collect valuable donor info to continue stewarding hosts for the future. GoodUnited looks for ways to expand their offerings in order to keep up with the changing social media landscape. They are innovative partners.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

As to be expected in working with any startup tech company, there have been some growing pains. Staff turnover and advancements led to some setbacks in project management, but it has improved.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodUnited allows us to properly thank and steward our Facebook fundraiser hosts and donors - an impossible feat to do manually when you have thousands of campaigns per month. They have provided opportunities for incremental revenue through Facebook Challenges as birthday fundraisers decline.

**Official Response from Adam OBrien:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experiences of working with us on G2 - we are always happy to hear that we're helping our nonprofit partners continue to use Facebook to accelerate missions!

And we hear you on the growing pains - a lot has happened over the last year as we've gone through some pretty dramatic changes as a team. We're thankful your team has stuck with us through it all... if you ever have anything specific that we can work on, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly (adam@goodunited.io).

Thanks for the continued support and partnership!

  ### 10. GoodUnited is a must-have fundraising tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

GoodUnited completely changed the strategic direction of our non-profit. The platform allowed us to raise capital more effectively and steward long-term donor relationships. The GoodUnited tool is a must-have for any non-profit -- large or small.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

GoodUnited is superior to any other platform on the market. We only wish their services were on every channel, though we're told it is coming soon and we are very excited about it!

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodUnited allows us to fundraise more effectively on social media channels and communicate with these donors while creating longer-term, repeat donor relationships.

**Official Response from Adam OBrien:**

> Hey Brian - thank you so much for taking time to drop by G2 and leave a review of GoodUnited.

The work that your team has been doing is world-changing... we're honored to be a a small part of your mission!

We hear you on getting into other channels - as soon as those platforms provide the tools for nonprofits to effectively fundraise, we will be there!

  ### 11. Strategic Team and Focused Outcomes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

Good United has hired some really talented and smart individuals who clearly represent well Good United's product's and services.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

Depending on your budget, it may be tough to get off the ground with a limited budget, however, their team will try to do everything they can to get you off the ground.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For smaller nonprofits with limited staffing, the Good United team helps to supplement the needed resources to get challenges off the ground in a way in a way where we wouldn't be able to hire the same or similar talent for a while. This can really help advance fundraising dollars with a very strong return -- much stronger than some of the other digital fundraising initiatives that I deploy.

**Official Response from Adam OBrien:**

> Hey - thank you so much for taking the time to outline your experience with the GoodUnited team. It's always great to get an understanding of what we need to continue to do and how we can improve for your team, and all nonprofits, in the future.

We hear you regarding some of the potential restrictions on budgeting - our new platform that was released in February is a direct response to the feedback that we have gotten that there needs to be options that are priced for all sizes and types of nonprofits - something that we're all incredibly excited to finally have in place.

Please don't hesitate to shoot me an email (adam@goodunited.io) if you ever need to talk through any specific issues or provide any more feedback on how we can get better!

  ### 12. Be Where Supporters Are

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tina B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

GU enables you to connect directly with social media users in a way that meets them exactly where they are without needing to leave the channel. I love the ability to create meaningful interactions with supporters on social media. Social fundraising is such a critical part of the next wave of donor engagement and conversational messaging is a key element in connecting with supporters.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

Data connection is a challenge--how do keep track of our messages in the CRM?

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GU is helping us connect directly to our supporter audience, enabling us to show up in channel and meet donors where they are.

**Official Response from Adam OBrien:**

> Hey Tina - Thanks so much for taking the time to review you and your teams experience with GoodUnited. I personally know how much our partnership means to our team and look forward to expanding that relationship in the years to come!

I know you and I have talked about some of the challenges around data extraction and have made sure to reiterate that to our development team for more focus now that our new platform is out in the wild.

You know where to find me if you need anything!

  ### 13. GoodUnited for Facebook Fundraising

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

Create a space for supporters to share their stories and fundraise on behalf of the org. Has a clear timeline/review process for approving materials. Can assist with creating design/graphics and copy.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

Very reliant on FB/Messenger functionality so when there's a tech problem, it's hard to pinpoint and solve quickly. Feels like the team can be disjointed a bit--everyone does something separate and they don't necessarily talk to one another/align internally so enhance strategy/tactics across functions.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodUnited helps with creating a space for fundraisers to connect and donate to the org. The messenger and moderation team provide conversational support at scale for our supporters.

  ### 14. GoodUnited will super charge your fundraising.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

The team excels at helping you get set up and running fast toward that fundraising goal. We've had great timely communication and collaboration with the whole team.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

The nature of FB fundraising and a Challenge model comes with a steep lead generation cost but it's got some amazing long term advantages! We're on the front end of seeing exponential growth.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodUnited is giving our organization a way to interact in the spaces and places they choose to spend time. We avoided FB messenger for years despite having a huge following because of the volume. They offer a great solution to tackle this opportunity.

  ### 15. We've had a positive experience working with GoodUnited!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

GoodUnited does a great job at optimizing fundraising opportunities, staying up to date with Meta changes, & adapting their product to your needs.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

We have experienced growing pains when there have been staff changes, but they are good about holding themselves accountable to get on a better track.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are great at messaging and engaging supporters at scale to increase fundraising efforts, as well as helping us increase our Facebook fundraising revenue overall.

  ### 16. Dynamic fundraising and engagement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

Support from the various teams - account management, creative, tech, community moderation - make it a true partnership with GoodUnited fully invested in our fundraising goals.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

It would be helpful to have more lead time for planning, but understand it's not always possible.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connecting with supporters in-platform when we otherwise wouldn't have a way to communicate with them. This has led to deepening the relationship and increasing donor revenue.

  ### 17. GoodUnited enables us to have one-on-one relationships with our supporters

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melody B. | Vice President of Integrated Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2022

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

Because of GoodUnited, we have this technology that allows us to have this amazing opportunity to get to know our supporters, tailor our messages to them personally, express our gratitude, and keep them informed.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

At times, technology hasn't quite caught up to all the things we'd love to do.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're driving far more supporter engagement inside the Facebook fundraising experience by urging specific calls to action based on their Messenger journey.

  ### 18. GoodUnited is like an extension of my team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsea E. | Sr. Director of Peer 2 Peer Giving, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2022

**What do you like best about GoodUnited?**

GoodUnited's staff are always ready and excited to talk through new ideas and strategies and try new things. I truly feel like they are an extension of my team.

**What do you dislike about GoodUnited?**

We did not see the results we hoped for in our first challenge but I feel confident that we have identified what held us back and will use that moving forward.

**What problems is GoodUnited solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GoodUnited has helped us acquire new fundraisers and supporters and elevate our current strategies in a new a different way.
