**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

I like how simple Giveffect is to use, which saves me so much time. Tracking fundraising progress is easy, and the setup was very simple.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

I wish it could track things specific to fundraising events such as live or silent auction bids. There is no platform on Giveffect to track auction bidding, and many nonprofits host auctions to raise money.

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Giveffect helps organize my contacts, making it easy to communicate with specific groups. It's simple to use, saves me a lot of time, and tracking fundraising progress is straightforward.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

When we were started searching for a new CRM, we went with Giveffect because it offered all the bells and whistles without all the extra charges. The price was very reasonable, and there are so many capabilities that nearly 3 years into our subscription, and we still have so many tools we barely scratched the surface on. I love their help feature and online chat, and customer support has been amazing!

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

Our former platform allowed for custom thank you videos to be emailed to our donors from directly within the CRM. While Giveffect doesn't have that technology, they do have video recording capabilities through an integration. It's not quite as seamless but still sufficient.

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to send emails, text messages, and have automatic workflows all within one platform. There are multiple data points available to capture in the donor profiles, including relationships and affiliated organizations, which has really helped us take donor connections to a whole new level.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

We really appreciate how seamlessly everything is integrated within Giveffect. We are able to track not only donors and donations, but volunteers, grants and leads all in one system. The interface is one of the easiest to learn and work with. Support is never far — our account manager is always responsive and eager to help us when needed! Their live customer support feature is easy to use, and we appreciate being able to chat with an actual person immediately.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

We haven't been able to utilize the events side of things as much as we would have liked when we originally purchased the product, but Giveffect has been making many changes and additions to this side of the product and we are hopeful that we will be able to utilize it for upcoming events. There are some additional features here and there that we would like to see implemented, but are hopeful based on previous responsiveness.

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giveffect's integrated tools for fundraising, has allowed us to streamline many of the things we do and made processes more efficient. We are able to get a full picture of donor engagement — from giving and events to volunteering and communication.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

Giveffect is a game-changer for our small nonprofit, SoléAna Stables! This comprehensive CRM has streamlined our operations and empowered us to make a meaningful impact. Navigating the platform is a breeze, thanks to its user-friendly interface. If we ever encounter any hiccups, our dedicated account manager is just a message away, ready to assist and implement any necessary tweaks. 

Creating engaging fundraising campaigns and email initiatives has never been easier with Giveffect. The Ai Writer tool is a particular favorite of ours, making content creation a seamless and efficient process. Our account managers have been an invaluable asset, always attentive and proactive in addressing our needs.

I love that all the systems are integrated together.  I hated having multiple windows open and switching from platform to platform. With Giveffect everything works together and is in one system.  It saves me so much time! I love how easy the CRM is to navigate and the best feature for me is Arthur the AI Writer. Total game changer!

There isn't anything I dislike about Giveffect. To be honest, their team is amazing and has helped me create ways to accomplish tasks that they don't have features for. I can't say anything negative.

Giveffect is a time saver. With all the systems in one place it allows us to spend more time on our mission. The CRM integrates into every other aspect of the platform making tasks easier and more efficient, because the basic data is already there.

Giveffect is really user-friendly, which is great for both database managers and frontline fundraisers.

There aren't really any downsides.  There are a couple of enhancements I'd like to see
- the ability to search the attendee list for a ticketed event.
- having a message pop up on a contact's profile if they are deceased or are a "do not solicit" contact.

We are able to get away from more manual tasks and the use of spreadsheets.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

Giveffect has been a wonderful CRM system for us. We use the campaign feature to host almost all of our events: campaigns are aesthetically pleasing, clear and simple to register for, and they allow for information-sharing and communication with participants. Giveffect allows for centralized contacts, so it is easy to track donors, volunteers, and event attendees etc. It also offers a quick merge solution for duplicate contacts. The customer service is excellent, and the representative monitoring the chat are thorough and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

There are some features that are missing we would really love to see. There is no option for a repeating campaign, which is difficult for us as we often host workshop series or recurring events. The volunteer management portion can sometimes feel a little unwieldy.

Giveffect is helping us track and report volunter hours so we share their impact. Giveffect has helped us clean up contact lists and integrate our newsletter platform.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

From fundraising and events to volunteers and marketing, we do a lot at our small nonprofit. Giveffect is a great all-in-one platform that allows us to keep all our constituents all in one place: we can see who has donated, attended an event, participated in a program, volunteered. In Giveffect, our record-keeping is shared across departments and the platform helps break down internal silos. We use it every day, and Giveffect's support team is always there to help us if we encounter any issues. Their online chat feature and the frequent check-ins from our account manager (Shout-out to Craig! He's awesome!) are especially helpful for navigating our database.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

With so many overlapping features, it took some time to wrap my head around how our database was set up (I was not part of the team that first signed up for Giveffect at our organization), and as with any nonprofit CRM, it's easy to clutter up our data. There have also been little limitations here and there that we wish were different about Giveffect, but their support team is great and helping us find workarounds and sending our feedback to their product team to implement changes.

Without Giveffect, we would not be able to keep track of our organization's many constituents as easily. Giveffect helps break down internal siloes and increases our ability to fundraise from different areas of our consituency.

Giveffect is well-regarded for its all-in-one platform that combines donor management, fundraising, volunteer coordination, and marketing automation into a single system. One common dislike about Giveffect is its steep learning curve due to the platform’s comprehensive feature set. While it's powerful, new users—especially smaller nonprofits or teams without dedicated tech staff—may find it overwhelming at first.

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giveeffect provides us with a 360° view of donors, including giving history, event attendance, volunteer hours, and email interactions. It offers integrated tools for online giving, peer-to-peer campaigns, and real-time reporting dashboards for our organization. Lastly, Giveeffect streamlines the volunteer registration and tracking process.

I love that everything is in one place. I love the people involved and the fact that they listen to your needs and work to solve them instead of just pushing existing components of the software. We were an early adopter and I have never regretted the decision.

I honestly can't come up with anything. All of our issues have been solved when they came up.

Running a small non profit with a global reach means making the most of every resource you have, especially people. This software and its integrations means data points only have to be handled once. When we signed on as a client, it replaced 6 other apps.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

Giveffect's Client Success Account Managers are fantastic; they know the system inside out with fast response times. Even though we're a small nonprofit, we're treated like a top-tier and that feels good. The interface is easy to learn, with more features than we need. The 'Mission Control' dashboard visualizes top stats in graphs and customizable parameter blocks. I can track donations with notifications. Their account managers help with training, troubleshooting, and taking notes on feature requests, which I appreciate.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

Some feature workarounds can be clunky; like surveying members, which is possible but integrating form data back into individual records is problematic when it should be automatic. Donation pages are generated through GE without our domain name, just a generic GE domain. Email services are limited to Mailchimp and Sparkpost, and both are an extra fee. The interface has many tabs on the left panel, which can be hard to read. The mobile app is just for tickets and point of sale, not viewing stats or other functions - it'd be nice to have a fuller-featured app.

It's an all-in-one solution to our fundraising and record management needs. We're able to easily see the success of our outreach.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

It is a very effective donor management system/CRM, volunteer management software, and the auction component is improving all the time. It's mostly responsive in day-to-day use and the customer service team is great!

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

The household reporting still has some kinks to work out in order to sync seamlessly between members of a household, pulling in all needed aggregate individual information, etc. Also there are a few small changes we're hoping they'll make to the auction component. And of course, we wish it were not quite so expensive... but you get what you pay for!

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing volunteers & donors together as the same person, rather than separately. Also tracking our event/auction donors in the same place rather than those being completely separate, streamlining communication to those specific donors!

Very easy to navigate and capture all information regarding donors, campaigns, volunteers and much more. Online support and videos were top notch.

The support from the Giveffect team was incredible, sadly the cost of the platform made us look for a less expensive program.

With easy to use reports we were able to more easily track our donors and we were able to reach over 4,500 with our monthly email blasts.

Although we decided to go with another platform for our needs, I was really impressed with Giveffect's capabilities. Very user friendly with lots of support and the process of researching it was made so easy by their team, especially Leah. She was extremely friendly and responsive to all of the questions that I had. I will definitely come back to Giveffect if things change.

Some of the add-ons we would have liked included had additional (although reasonable) cost.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

Giveffect is relatively easy to use for everyone. The admin side is easy to train staff. They have a series of in-depth training videos. You can set up notifications in several different ways and automate reports. You can import data spreadsheets in many CRM tabs rather than entering data one by one. The system has frequent updates and new features, and the company listens to the customers and implements what we need. Volunteer tracking is robust and compatible with mobile devices. They have one of the better public-facing volunteer calendar designs. When a day has multiple volunteer events scheduled, the calendar doesn't get jumbled. Registration and forms are intuitive for our constituents, which is one of the most important variables in volunteer tracking. They have a chat support that is actually helpful!

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

The user interface on the admin side has really small text. By default I zoom in 125% when using Giveffect, but for less tech savvy admins, they may find this frustrating. You cannot embed campaign pages onto an external website, which isn't ideal for me. And only certain tiers of membership have the opportunity to use an external email address to send volunteer notifications and reminders. I don't understand the gatekeeping of that feature since the customer pays an external email marketing platform based on number of emails anyway.

Giveffect has simplified volunteer management significantly. This allows us to ensure adequate volunteer staffing and more accurately report our volunteer hours.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

GE (Giveffect) is an intuitive tool that tracks online payments, can sync to other software such as DonorSearch, and can "batch" multiple offline payments. If you have a question, the chat support quickly responds (given you are asking during business hours).

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

There is no option to issue a partial refund, and there is no accounting for taxes. I understand this is a CRM designed for nonprofits, so selling tangible items may not be that common. Editing contacts is a bit of a task, as you have to navigate through a few windows, and addresses could be ranked or sorted better. When there is an insufficient address, there's currently no way to mark it besides listing it as a previous or secondary address.

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can adjust how many notifications get sent to your email, including new donations, contacts, interactions, and more. Receiving a weekly and monthly report is excellent, especially when you've been away from GE for an extended period.

There are a lot of things that still need to be updated to best accommodate our organization's needs, and new features that we request take awhile to be added, or still have yet to be.

We appreciate having a comprehensive system to store donor and volunteer information! And having the campaign functionalities are a VAST improvement from our last system!

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

I like that it is a comprehensive CRM. I like that I can also track volunteers as well. My sole purpose for using Giveffect is to keep track of off-line donations made to us and it make sure we are writing thank yous for them and can steward them properly. We also really like to use the campaign option not only for volunteers but also for fundraising efforts. It allows us to update our donors regularly and we can create individual websites for each campaign also.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

When running reports, I don't particularly appreciate how long it takes and that I feel like my reports are always jumbled. Also, I wouldn't say I like that there is not as much flexibility and customization with the buttons on the campaign page. It functions well right now, but it would be nice to have a little more options with it. The only other thing I dislike about Giveffect is that it is kind of hard to get in contact with customer service if you do not pay for a higher-level plan; that is very frustrating.

**Recommendations to others considering Giveffect:**

Make sure you are using it for all the intended functions. It is also helpful to make sure you are keeping records straight and not letting too many hands in the pot. I would also recommend to make a plan for exactly what you want to use Giveffect for.

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now, we are using Giveffect to clean up some records and help with internal communication errors when it comes to our donors and volunteers. We have realized that we are able to capature more data and information that we have previously been using the system for. It has been nice to figure that out and be able to use more of the functions of Giveffect. Hopefully we can continue to find new solutions and benefits that we have not realized yet.

One CRM system that incorporates donor management, email, volunteer management, peer to peer fundraising, reporting, embeddable donation pages,etc. etc.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

The developers went very wide with all their modules, but it's taken them some time to build out the functionality of each.  We didn't want to try to tie multiple systems together, but we've struggled with a couple of the modules.

**Recommendations to others considering Giveffect:**

None of these CRM systems do the hard work of cleaning your data before implementation. I recommend hiring a data analyst, or data hygiene specialist to prepare your data before porting dirty data into a new system.  If you really plan on using all the modules, make sure you spell out your requirements in each of the specialty areas to make sure Giveffect fits everyone's needs. Don't assume that say, the volunteer module will support your team without them being part of the process. This system goes very wide and in many organizations, all these functions don't live in a single department. To get maximum value, you should use all the modules, which means all potential users should map out their requirements and test the system before purchasing.

Donor management, segmentation, volunteer management, peer to peer fundraising. The benefit is that the whole team is on one system and can help each other when we have issues.

They recently completed an upgrade to their campaigns that now make all registrations and ticket purchases easier. The aesthetic of the form from the user end is great, and it's quick and easy to build and update the campaigns on the back end.

Giveffect is a powerful all-in-one platform that streamlines the coordination and management of nonprofit organizations so staff and volunteers can focus on making a positive impact. You’ll be hard-pressed to find another tool out there with such a comprehensive set of tools specifically designed to serve the nonprofit industry. But what really makes this platform stand out is the people behind the scenes. It’s been a pleasure working with the Giveffect team. Their desire to help nonprofits make a difference drives them to continually serve their clients at a higher level.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

Nothing at all to dislike. We are excited about the platform and have found that Giveffect checks all the boxes to solve some of the toughest challenges nonprofits face when it comes to collaboration, data fluidity, donor tracking, and much more.

We have connections to a number of nonprofits struggling to balance time-consuming tasks with opportunities to be more involved with their cause. **What do you like best about Giveffect?**

I like the customizable items for volunteer jobs and the NEW features of making the volunteer job postings public or private.  I also like the Event Buddy App and the updates it has.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

Most importantly, I dislike the reservation feature and or the lack of group volunteering options. The online sign-ups are for individuals only, and the reservation feature is not useful at all other than "reserving space." I have had to make a workaround for groups wanting to volunteer. Most corporate groups just want to be able to sign-up online and input basic information from their organization and not have to have each individual in their group create a complete profile. A lot of groups come back every year and would like to just sign-up as a group. 

My other issue is there is no archive feature for the volunteer jobs. All the jobs, whether active or not, stay cluttered, and I have scroll and search to find the active jobs I am working on editing. 

Lastly, the reporting part. Some of the filters, when pulling reports, we have discovered do not work properly, so we can say that reporting is inaccurate. We can never get an accurate reports on volunteer info.

We have solved our data-keeping issues and have realized that we can continue to report data with more confidence.

The ease of volunteer signups, sign-ins, campaigns, email blasts, and event buddy. I like that we can categorize and organize all of our contacts and volunteers. Makes tracking hours easier under specific criteria.

I don't like some of the template builder in email campaigns. I make all of our newsletters, so sometimes it gets frustrating, and I have not invested the time to use an HTML builder from a 3rd party. I wish the email campaign wouldn't have so much blank space to the sides of the actual newsletter. It just makes a thin column in the middle of the email when I send it to a desktop. All the emails I send to Gmail accounts end up lost in the people's promotions folder :( Sometimes the manual volunteer assignments lag a lot. I wish I could get phone assistance and walk through without our ministry paying more money

The least helpful part of Giveffect is the lack of automation in workflows - but I hear this feature is coming soon! We want to be able to set up drip campaign to better steward our donors and volunteers.

I would recommend having someone on staff with some technology background - it will make the ease of use much better! Giveffect provides outstanding support - their chat feature is AMAZING!

Giveffect is a very efficient place to keep all of our donor contact information. Working at a non-profit, we utilize Giveffect to keep our donations organized, send out upcoming event invites, and manage our website. Giveffect has a very excellent support team that is always willing to answer questions for us in a very timely manner.

One thing we would like to be able to do with Giveeffect is to have the ability to text our contacts. We use another company to text funders, families, and volunteers. Having it in one place would be great. We want to be to communicate with them through text, not just send them a text-to-give message. Another thing we would like to be able to send automatic notifications to people in our contacts when it is their birthday.

The Quickbooks integration needs to be redone, or at least have the classes optional and not mandatory. We would have loved to have been able to use this integration, but it is not any more efficient than our current process. 
Also, if they could integrate more email options than just Sparkpost, that would be great.

We had terrible reporting with our last CRM. Giveffect's reporting is SO MUCH more helpful! And their payment processor, WePay, is great because they allow us to pull reports straight from their site instead of having to compare with a report from Giveffect. I love that you have everything in one system.

I would love to see more training for less tech-savvy staff.  But as someone who is not schooled in technology but has a comfort level teaching myself, I have found everything quite easy to use.

Everything is so streamlined.  We have worked in phases to integrate GE and still have some integration for Quickbooks planned for 2022.    We are getting donations from volunteers not previously asked when we were storing data in two separate programs.  We can take monthly pledges, and we LOVE the auction platform, which helped us tremendously during the pandemic.

There's so much that I like about Giveffect CRM; one is that running reports using canned reports are beneficial and saves time.  You can also easily manipulate and customize them to generate specific information needed.  The online giving component is a lifesaver.  I can create the campaigns, add the fund, campaign, account, or source for anticipated online gifts. We use most of the features available such as the Volunteering system, P2P feature, the Events and Fundraising features.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

It's not a dislike but working with Batch daily, and it would be great if the batch number and batch gift date would populate at the top of the report when printing the batch report.

**Recommendations to others considering Giveffect:**

I strongly recommend Giveffect CRM software.  Giveffect offers easy reporting. Save time tracking online donations.  Online donors receive tax receipts automatically.  You can print thank you letters from the donor's profile.  Giveffect provides great data analytics for you.

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Any issue I have, I've emailed support or use the chat option.  Support responds very quickly.  One benefit is that the support team is helpful with suggestions or solutions for generating reports that may seem be complex but were much easier to create using Giveffect.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

I use the CRM the most, and having it fully integrate with our email communications -- messaging contact groups, updating interactions, etc -- is helpful. Being able to data map various donation processing routes helps us manage multiple campaigns at once as well. I like being able to segment the CRM in whatever way is necessary without cluttering the groups field, so having plenty of queriable fields available is another plus.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

Inconsistency between different functions. Some advanced search fields give you drop-down lists, and others don't despite having the same kind of setup for their respective fields. Available fields on reports and advanced search exports are not always the same. You can't run advanced searches on the duplicate checker to zero in on a specific part of the database you want to clean up first, nor can you export all of a contact's soft credits. Basically, I'm sure it's an engineering question, but why can I do such-and-such in area A but not in area B?

Consider first if the jack of all trades is the best fit for your organization, or if you need more depth or power in one specific area.

Again, having a strong segmentation capability makes it so much easier to strategize around specific campaigns or initiatives or identify target audiences, which we absolutely could not do without a capable CRM.

GivEffect has been able to link all of our development and volunteer needs together in one database. We have enjoyed being able to see everything at a glance, offer online training and sign up for our volunteers as well as online portals for our donors to monitor their records.  Our staff also enjoys the ease of using the system and how everything is there if you need something from online training videos to chat with a person. The cost is also great for our budget.

The one area that needs to be improved is the administration settings to allow more control over what your users can do and see.

Even though I have search through other options of CRM databases for our nonprofit, GivEffect is just one place that can do everything we need. There's no hassle with multiple accounts; everything is built right in. It makes managing our contacts and reaching out so much easier!

In terms of volunteer management, the database is not user friendly. The calendar is difficult to read, the fields auto clear any time you change something, the terms change depending on what part of the interface you're using, there are a multitude of things that could be added as options to make things easier for new people. I have quite the list.

We added a better way to track volunteer hours. In doing so, we eliminated a fair amount of the problems my department was facing and replaced them with a new set of problems. It seems great for fundraising though.

Giveffect is a living, growing softwre. Improvements/updates that truly improve its functionality are consistently rolled out every month, and customer feedback/requests are always well-received.

We've run into some difficulty automatically issuing/distributing receipts for in-kind donations. It's still much more efficient than the donation software we were using before, though.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

GivEffect is very easy to use and has all the functionalities our organization needs. It is light years ahead of the previous system we used and for a far most cost-effective price.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

The WYSIWYG email builder system in GivEffect leaves something to be desired but it is understand that they are not in the email marketing business.

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest reason we use GivEffect is the peer-to-peer fundraising, its ease of use, the aesthetically pleasing front-end features. The CRM is also very detailed and comprehensive in its fields, reporting options, and querying feature.

Creating emails to send. I would also love for us to be able to have more users without paying.

I really like that you can check duplicates with the click of a button.

Theoretically, the integration of all organizational CRMs - donors, volunteers, clients. Online system.

Volunteer management system: online signup calendar, shift/job/location flexibility

Good for larger nonprofits with multiple Giveffect users and administrators

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Giveffect team seems to be very accomodating, often taking my suggestions and adding them to their software. This could be a powerful system for a bigger organization with more staff dedicated to using the software.

**What do you like best about Giveffect?**

I like that GE is all in one for volunteers, fundraising, crm, data tracking, grants, etc.

**What do you dislike about Giveffect?**

There are specific small details that I dislike- the fact that you cannot delete form responses, and the website builder limitations- you cannot add any widgets even though it is backed by Weebly.

**What problems is Giveffect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are tracking and managing grants, tracking the source of donations, tracking volunteer hours, clocking volunteers in and out. Basically GE keeps us organized in almost every area.

Inability to add event participants (builders) on the back end.  Not very well-developed mobile user interface.  Limitations of the design of the fundraising pages.

Volunteer management.  I think one of the best benefits that we have realized is having the access to all information about any given contact in one place.
