"So many glitches"

What do you like best?

If it worked well it's nice that people can just enter the amount they want to donate all from the comfort of their own couch. A one-time donation typically works fine.

What do you dislike?

It only allows the donor to set up their donation on the exact day that they're doing it. They are not able to forward date a monthly donation. Therefore if you want a monthly donation to come out on the 5th of every month you HAVE to donate on the 5th and then set it up as monthly. It also continually glitches and does not set up "monthly" as monthly. It continually only goes through as a "one time gift" when the donors click monthly. This has caused quite a bit of frustration with donors and the loss of some support, understandably. The fundly staff don't seem to be able to remedy these problems as they are continuing month after month to no avail.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It should help us allow our staff to receive donations easily online instead of the donors sending in a physical paper or check. If it worked well without the glitches it would be nice. The inconveniences of using this far outweigh any benefits.

"Easy to Use, Easy to Find"

What do you like best?

It was really easy for me to figure out how to use Fundly and navigate all of the aspects of the website. I like how easy it was to find and connect with others.

What do you dislike?

Fundly, compared with other big grassroots fundraising programs, is less well known. You would have to have a lot of connections to really raise money on the website, as you don't receive a lot of exposure.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I think if you are an established person with lots of people supporting you, Fundly is a fine option.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I needed Fundly to raise money for a summer project. The amount it subtracts from the money raised is pretty minimal.

"Fundly Works - But Can be a Challenge"

What do you like best?

Fundly is fairly easy and straightforward to use and is a powerful tool - plus, it's in the cloud (so it can be accessed anywhere).

What do you dislike?

There is quite a learning curve when it comes to getting the software to do what you'd like it to do when it comes to running reports and creating communications.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

This allows us to keep better track of our donors and where our funding is coming from.

"Easy to set up but comes with hefty fees"

What do you like best?

Fundly allows people to raise funds with no requirements which provides a lot of flexibility to set up different types of campaigns. They also offer some support along the way by presenting some campaign ideas. And for those who are accustomed to mobile, the experience is all mobile optimized.

What do you dislike?

The hefty 8% fees are tough to swallow, particularly when your funds are below $50,000 and every penny counts. They take fees for services and credit card processing. Also, if donors want to see the campaign they have to sign up for an account first in order to even know what the campaign entails which seems like a pain.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Fundly was a solution to provide ways for people to learn, donate and share about various causes that our organization drives throughout the year. We find it easy to use, and the mobile app is seamless.

"Efficient and helpful, with caveats"

What do you like best?

As the first CRM at our organization, Fundly has been transformational, especially for organizing paid and free events with online signups.

What do you dislike?

Fundly is a young CRM, and still has some significant bugs or inadequacies: for example, patrons can't pay an invoice that Fundly sends, so we have to do a workaround with PayPal. But their staff is very open to troubleshooting, which helps.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

A great resource, but glitchy in this early stage—be ready to work with their customer service team to customize Fundly to your needs.

Fundly primarily makes our event organizing much more efficient, aggregating all attendees in one place and logging their past attendance. As an arts organization that does regular public events, this is hugely helpful.

"Great option for fundraising"

What do you like best?

It is very easy to set up a fundraiser and share it with a lot of people. A lot of useful tools are available on the website and the customer support is really good.

What do you dislike?

I can't really think of anything to dislike. Maybe they could allow more personalization on a campaign's page, but it's not a must,

Allows to save a lot of time and quickly organize a fundraising campaign.

"A Good Way to Fundraise Quickly."

What do you like best?

I appreciate the amount of information it holds and how it helps companies to stay organized, give tasks, hold employee data, etc.

What do you dislike?

I dislike how it seems less secure than some other sights. My company has had a breech in fundly a few times.

It helps our business in the area of communication and receiving information about potential clients and keeping that data organized. The benefit is that it helps our company run more smoothly!

"Difficult set up, but rewarding experience"

What do you like best?

It is easy to track gift amounts and donor name. It is also easy to send acknowledgements.

What do you dislike?

The initial set up was very difficult. It took me an extra week to launch my campaign.

Built in extra set up time for your campaign. Make sure that you read through guide on success for implementing a campaign.

"Don't use it"

What do you like best?

Nothing. This is crappy software from a crappy company

What do you dislike?

Everything - especially their customer service department. All of their new employees are rude & arrogant.

"Raising power"

What do you like best?

The simplicity of the website and how easy it is for donors to find a cause based on their category breakdown.

What do you dislike?

I'm not a fan of some of the fees they incorporate into donors contributions.
