In some cases, those partners aren’t consistent in how they deliver their service. Whether it’s a delayed delivery time or a drop in overall food quality, it can negatively impact customer satisfaction and, in turn, reflect poorly on our service and brand. This could be improved with more real-time tracking for orders in progress, along with clearer customer updates when delays are expected. In a manufacturing environment where customers have specific, designated lunch times, knowing when the food will arrive is extremely important to help them make the most of their lunch period. **What problems is ezCater solving and how is that benefiting you?** They offer a compelling value proposition, especially for clients that aren’t in a large metro area or whose workforce has defined lunch periods. They aggregate a diversified restaurant partner network and simplify daily meal and catering orders through smart, easy-to-use technology. We use ezCater for daily meal ordering and catering at a fairly remote client site where most of the workforce is in manufacturing. Before we started with ezCater, employees had to use their 30-minute lunch breaks to drive 5 to 10 minutes to grab food, which left them very little time to actually enjoy lunch once they got back to the site. Since there’s no onsite food production, having a variety of options delivered has been a huge relief for employees and a strong solution for our client, who had always struggled with this aspect of their campus. A one-time process with ezCater solved most of the hoops we jump through when ordering to a tax exempt university. It's great for basic maintenance although things like adding/updating groups could be better. Right now, I have to manually toggle through a bunch of pages to get to something closer to the end of my groups. Anytime I have an order, I don't have to call the delivery person or the restaurant. I can just hop on chat with ezCater, and within minutes, they call the restaurant, get an answer, and then let me know. You can't find that anywhere else. They always do a great job. Another thing I really love about ezCater is the record it keeps for me. For recurring meetings, I can easily check what was ordered last time, which makes planning super simple. Also, the initial setup was very easy. Their great customer service walked us through it, and I had no issues whatsoever. **What do you dislike about ezCater?** The only thing I think that could be improved is when an order is messed up. And we typically have minutes to repair it, they immediately go to, we're so sorry. We'll give you a refund. Refund or a partial refund, which may help with a future order. But at that moment, I have a group of hungry people and not enough food. So I need a different resolution. I need them to put pressure on the restaurant to make more food and bring it, typically, it's the restaurant's fault that something was left off. And it doesn't happen very often. Usually, you know, if they leave off a bag of potato chips, no big deal. Credit is great. I do appreciate the credit. So there are lots of places that we don't order from that may actually suit our needs and, more importantly, uncertainty on if items labeled gluten free or vegan will actually meet these requirements. It seems wonderful in the beginning but they will strong arm your company, treat you as disposable., Refuse to take your calls, And delete years of reviews you earned on their site. This is like putting your hard work into someone else's pockets. Avoid working with this company and stay independent. I was with them for 10+ years and was faithful and our company was devoted to customer orders. After all these years and hundreds of 5 star reviews, ezcater deleted us without hesitation after we did not want to take some of the smaller orders they serve. Constant policy changes and micromanagement to caterers. This has been a discouraging, disheartening, and offensive experience. We now work hard not to give our autonomy to a big company like this. You will be disposable, they will manage your reputation and your customers as theirs and delete you when they feel like it. I wish o could've told my younger self this before we signed up for this company. RUN!
